I had an amazing stay at this hotel while celebrating my 40th birthday in Marbella, and I couldn’t have chosen a better place. From the moment I started planning my celebration, the team was incredibly helpful and paid great attention to every detail. Everything I requested was carried out perfectly, making my birthday truly special and stress-free. The staff were professional, friendly, and always willing to help. The room service was top-notch, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The only suggestion I would make is to add more variety to the buffet, especially more Caribbean and African dishes. I think this would make the dining experience even better for guests from different backgrounds. Thank you to the entire team for making my 40th birthday celebration so memorable. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Marbella and would definitely stay here again

Excellent hotel quality hotel, with secure underground parking available and extensive buffet restaurant, located in quiet quality Marbella residential area, however only short taxi to all the commercial locations. Special mention to Fatima, for her very professional housekeeping. She greeted us warmly every day with a cheerful smile and always made us feel welcome. Our suite was consistently spotless, fresh, and beautifully maintained. Please pass on our appreciation and recognition for her outstanding work.

Stunning hotel looks exactly like the pictures. Rooms are very spacious too, the staff are lovely including the cleaning staff too. I spoke to management about decorating the room for my friend’s birthday and they made it very special she loved it. The service at this hotel was lovely. Only thing for us was that there was not local shops but that cant be helped given the golfing location. Would recommend this hotel to others for sure we loved it!

Perfect timing and great value! The team made check-in seamless through the app, and I was impressed with how clean the rooms and dining area were throughout my stay. Breakfast presentation was excellent. The location is outstanding, so convenient to reach. Tip: check the app regularly for even better deals. Highly recommend!

Front desk seriously needs to brush up on their English skills. Location is a bit far if you don’t have a car.Rooms were impeccable and very clean. Beds were very comfy and pillows were plenty in the big sized bed. Pool facilities was nice, of course at this time of the year pool is cold.I left Britain to see more brits, but i guess it’s a bank holiday where else would they be?

Very nice hotel. I was lucky to be upgraded to a suite room and it was spacious, cool and quiet. The room was cleaned every day by Lola who did a fantastic job of keeping the coffee and milk topped up for the Nespresso machine. Breakfast was great and the gym was also really good. Lots of machines and weights ☺️

The hotel is spotless throughout and our room was generally sized although we did upgrade to Premium on the 4th floor.|The food was just under average and uninspiring with choice limited. ||The staff were on the whole just not interested. I saw little interaction between waiting staff and guests. Never rude but we got the impression that it was just a job. The reception staff were no more than average .|A lovely warm pool in the Premium area with hardly anyone there. The main pool was also very good and above all, clean. We wouldn’t return I’m sorry to say and we are huge fans of the Barcelo brand

Everything about this beach club exceeded my expectations. The food was absolutely delicious, made with high quality ingredients, and every dish was beautifully presented. The staff was incredibly friendly, professional, and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit. Their excellent service made us feel truly welcome. The background music created a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere, making it the perfect place to spend the day. I had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend this beach club to anyone looking for great food, outstanding service, and a beautiful ambiance.

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The service was excellent, and the staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional throughout our visit. The restaurant itself is beautifully designed, with a cozy and relaxing atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable right away. Its location by the sea is simply stunning, and the addition of a pool makes the whole setting even more special. The food was absolutely delicious, with every dish full of flavor and well presented. The overall ambiance was fantastic, making it a perfect place to enjoy a memorable meal. In short, it was an outstanding experience that is definitely worth repeating.

It was a very nice place. The vibes and music were amazing ♥️ The food was delicious 😋, and the waitress was so friendly and cute — unfortunately, I forgot her name 🥹. However, despite the place being almost empty (as shown in the video), we were told that all the beach beds were fully booked (the most affordable option for swimming and dining). Instead, we were offered a table in the restaurant area, which had no extra charge and we only paid for our food and drinks. Overall, I would give it 4⭐ because I’m sure the service can be improved, especially regarding table and beach bed bookings. Also, the receptionist wasn’t very welcoming 😎. Before I forget, the security guard was very friendly and kind 😊.

⭐⭐⭐☆☆ Nikki Beach Marbella has a beautiful setting, a great atmosphere, and attentive service. The staff are friendly and professional, although at times it feels like they are constantly trying to upsell food and drinks. The biggest disappointment is the beach bed policy. To reserve a bed, you are required to meet a €500 minimum spend, and most importantly, that minimum can only be fulfilled by purchasing a 1.5-liter bottle of champagne. If you prefer to drink wine instead, that is not an option. The issue is not the minimum spend itself, but the lack of flexibility in how guests can use it. If you are expecting the same beach club atmosphere as Mykonos, be aware that it is quite different. There are many families and children around the pool, creating a much more relaxed, family-oriented environment. Overall, I would recommend visiting Nikki Beach Marbella for the restaurant, the food, and the atmosphere, but I would skip renting a beach bed unless this policy changes. A little more flexibility would make the experience much more enjoyable.

Nikki Beach is a must if you are in Marbella. The restaurant offers an extensive menu of delicious options. The sea bass, burrata and poke bowls were perfect. The service is impeccable and the views are unreal. On Sunday, they had an amazing DJ that played the best music for dancing and relaxing by the beach. The experience is pricey, but well worth it. Highly recommend, we had a blast!

We were fortunate to have a delicious lunch at the beach club at Anantara. He was so fortunate that we were not only there during the day but we were also back at night to celebrate San Juan, which involved a great rock and roll band and fires on the beach and at 12:00 we went into the sea for good luck. Just an awesome experience and the party was so much fun

We had the most wonderful experience at Anantara By the Sea Beach Club . As a family with three children, we were delighted to see such a thoughtful and delicious children’s menu – it really made the children feel special ! For us adults, the food was outstanding – the tuna and steak were cooked to perfection and full of flavour. The setting is absolutely stunning, the atmosphere relaxed yet elegant, and the selection of food and drinks is fantastic. What really made the experience extra special was the service. The waiting staff were attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was just right from start to finish. All in all, a brilliant night out – a perfect mix of great food, excellent service, and a beautiful location. Highly recommend!.

This hotel is a little gem. Nothing fancy but spotlessly clean, comfortable beds and perfect location. The staff are very friendly and helpful.|The location is perfect- turn right out of the door and it’s a five minute walk to the promenade, turn left and it’s a five minute walk to the old town.|We were given upgraded rooms when we arrived- we had booked the basic rooms without balconies but ended up with one room with a balcony and a suite with small kitchen, sofa and balcony. Both were very comfortable .The best part was that we were allowed access to our rooms when we arrived at 11.15 a.m. This was much appreciated as we had been on the road since just after midnight. We dropped our bags in the rooms, quick change of clothes and we were off exploring.|There are numerous small restaurants/ bars close to the hotel.|We had a perfect stay in this hotel and would recommend it .

This is an unpretentious hotel with basic amenities. It doesn’t have a bar or restaurant; instead, coffee and snacks are provided free of charge in the reception area, and bottled water is provided for €1. The owner, Jose, is a relaxed, friendly person who is extremely helpful and supportive. Our room and ensuite bathroom were spacious clean and had a balcony. The biggest advantage of this hotel is its location as it’s just a few hundred metres from the port and beaches of Marbella. It is great value for money and we will certainly stay there again.

If you want to be close to everything Marbella has to offer, all while feeling comfortable in a safe, friendly, clean and homey environment, this is the place to go. The hotel is small, cozy, no bells or whistles, but they are not needed. The team, Jose and Emma (the owners) as well as Enrique make your stay perfect. The rooms are well lit, very clean, comfortable, spacious and quiet. This is not a hotel of many amenities, but what matters, they have. It´s small so they are able to provide a very personable experience, helping with recommendations of what to do, where to go, what to avoid, etc. Little things like outlet converters, morning coffee, or a scale to weigh your luggage and bag storage if you want to leave a little later, make your life easier. Access to parking around the corner is a mayor plus in this area that has no street parking and a lot of cars (during high season). This is a hotel run with love and care, not as a business, but as a way of living. I hope my travels bring me back to Marbella, and if so, this would be my first choice to stay.

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at Villa Opal in Villa Marina. Overall it was a great stay. The booking process was seamless, staff were very helpful on arrival. The villa itself was perfect for a large group, really spacious. The villa itself could do with some renovations, nothing major but just a bit dated. The sun loungers in particular have seen better days and there wasn’t enough for the amount of people the villa slept, when we asked for more we were told there was none available. Location is good, close to the beach and Puerto Banus. I would recommend for large groups.

We were robbed in the villa just five minutes after we left. This is not normal and extremely serious. They stole luxury shoes, designer bags, a very expensive watch, and other accessories. And yet, we had activated the alarm system properly. We rented the villa for a long stay, but everything changed after this incident. There was no explanation, no surveillance footage, and nothing to reassure us. Three days later, we tested the alarm again and realized it doesn’t even work — even when it’s activated. Honestly, if you’re planning to stay here, be extremely careful. Bring your own security cameras and tracking tags for your valuables. I personally believe that someone from the staff might be doing some kind of magic tricks…

We opted for the mixed paella at lunch, which was a mixture of chicken, pork and shellfish. Considering there were only two other tables occupied, the paella took a long time to cook, but was nicely served up at our table. However, everything but the rice was overcooked, with the pork and prawns particularly tough.

The view from the restaurant is amazing when you are so close to the sea. But the food was a little bit disappointing , when you pay 17€ for a pizza you kind of expect it isn’t frozen. Frozen pizzas doesn’t taste that good and you can get a better on from mercandona for 3€. The steak there was really good, but the French fries were not it. Overall really comfy place but wouldn’t go there if you want good tasting food

MC Beach is one of those places that knows exactly what its guests came for. The service was effortless 5-star hospitality throughout: professional, attentive, and polished without feeling stiff. The setting is beautiful, though having visited beaches from the Caribbean to the Mediterranean, I would not rank this coastline among the world’s most spectacular. Then again, the sea is not the main attraction. The people-watching may be the best view of all. On the afternoon of my visit, it felt as if half of Eastern Europe’s modeling industry had been strategically placed around the terrace. The food was excellent with no real complaints. Well prepared, enjoyable, and exactly what you would expect at this level. The prices, however, are in a league of their own. Even compared with fashionable restaurants in Miami, Los Angeles, or New York, I found myself checking the bill to see whether I had accidentally purchased a small percentage of Marbella. You come here for the atmosphere, the scene, the status, and the experience of being seen. The food and service simply ensure you leave happy after paying for all of the above.

Great location, and that’s really what you’re paying for. The atmosphere is pleasant and the service is kind, but very slow: we waited 45 minutes after ordering a Caesar salad and spaghetti alle vongole. The spaghetti was more like a soup with giant clams, and it wasn’t as flavorful as vongole should be. The salad was fair.

We celebrated my mother’s birthday at MC Beach and it truly exceeded all expectations. The warmth, attentiveness, and genuine care they showed made for an incredibly special and memorable afternoon. The entire team was not just friendly — they were exceptional. We felt genuinely pampered throughout our lunch, and my mother left with the biggest smile on her face. This is the kind of hospitality that keeps you coming back. Oh and the chicken paella was the best I ever had.

As always with Marbella Club restaurants, the service never disappoints. The location is stunning right by the beach and the food was delicious. We had oysters, steak and sushi and everything was really good. The chocolate mousse was also amazing. It’s the perfect spot for a date or a nice evening with the family, with a great atmosphere!

The head waiter was awesome. Made wonderful suggestions, was efficient thorough and friendly with our kids. The food was spectacular along with the wine. Went several times in our 5 day stay. Never let us down once.

MC Beach is without a doubt one of the nicest beach bars in Marbella, Málaga, with a nice atmosphere that captures the charm of the Mediterranean coast perfectly. Unfortunately, the evening ended on a disappointing note when the final bill did not match the prices listed on the menu, and we were charged significantly more than expected. That dishonesty sadly overshadowed what had otherwise been a lovely visit. While the location itself is excellent, experiences like this make it difficult for me to fully recommend the restaurant.

The hotel advertised the parking, but you cannot book it. You are lucky, if you get one of the few plots. The location is very good, close to the old part of Marbella and close to the promenade! The rooms are ok. The breakfast is very simple, better eat somewhere else in the nice breakfast bars around. The staff can understand English, complex problems although make difficulties in understanding. For the location a good price.

Clean, spacious room, with air con which was most definitely needed. |Receptionists were friendly, and prompt with our check in. |Parking underground, paid but needed as on street parking not available. |We stayed for one Saturday night at the end of June whilst in the area, and the hotel was quiet, we slept well. |Wouldn’t hesitate to book again. |Lots of shops and cafes locally on the high street which is a stones throw away, and a short stroll the seafront.

Great service from check in to check out – including safely storing our bags until it was time to go to the airport. The rooms were spacious, clean and quiet, with a good sized shower, great water pressure, comfortable beds, cute balcony, and a decent TV and fridge. The location is outstanding for the money you pay. Would return when looking to explore more than lounge around a pool.

This is not a 3-star hotel rank, maybe one and a half. The bed is very old with a very bad blanket, the minibar is not working, and the cleaning level is the worst with a lot of dust. The location is nice and the breakfast was nice, but it will be hard to sleep in this hotel; they must improve their facilities. This is not 3 star hotel rank maybe one and half the bed is very old with very bad blanket, minibar not working, worst cleaning level with allot of dust, location is nice also brakefast was nice but it will be hard to sleep in this hotel must ti improve their facilities.Translated commentShow original

Despite arriving at 2am, the young man at reception was very courteous and patient with me. I really liked my room. The balcony was nice, but the view across the way was of apartments. The taxi rank right outside the hotel was a big plus. This came in handy for me to get a taxi to a family wedding. The big plus for me was the hotel being close to shops, restaurants and (especially) the beach. This was a very nice introduction to Spain 🇪🇸. I will consider the hotel should there be another visit in the future.

Overall, the hotel was really great. The location is perfect and within walking distance to the beach and the old town. As well as many local restaurants. Staff was super nice and inviting and the room was modest, but very clean and comfy. The only negative thing is that you can hear the people above you walking. But that didn’t affect our mood during the stay.

This hotel was suggested to us by our children who had stayed here last year. And I must say it was a wonderful choice. ||First is the location. Excellent location, downtown with Old Town within walking distance with lots of shopping & eateries & grocery stores. The taxi stand is also just below the hotel. The rooms are small, but ok. The balcony was huge enough for the four of us to sit & have our daily breakfast of fruits, home made sandwiches & instant poha together. The lady at the reception provided us all with city maps and we collected a huge amount of tourist literature from the desk. The chef at the restaurant was Italian & vegetarian & would personally come to suggest vegetarian options which he would make especially for us. The Maitre d’ of the restaurant was a girl from Kerala. Very sweet & helpful. The rooms had paper glasses so my wife went up to her in the restaurant & she provided us with porcelain mugs for tea/coffee which we made in rooms. On the downside, the hotel provided complimentary water bottles on the first day, later on you were on your own. Not a big deal, we got 2 litre water bottles for our stay of four days & kept on adding. The cleaning lady was an old lady. I tried tipping her but she would not take but accepted when I insisted.||Travel professionals say that for any hotel, location is the top consideration & I must say this one maxed it. The helpful nature of each staff member was the jewel in the crown.

Samara Marbella Apartment offers a residential experience in the Marbella region, featuring a variety of amenities such as a gym and swimming facilities. While some guests enjoy the comfortable atmosphere and direct communication with the host, others have noted inconsistencies regarding the maintenance of common areas and specific equipment.

The property faces challenges with service consistency and accessibility, as some visitors reported issues with hot water and room functionality. Despite these maintenance hurdles, it remains a destination for those seeking a private coastal stay with a personal touch.

Broken sunbeds. Broken parasols. Empty children’s pool. Broken Jacuzzi pump. 30% Gym equipment broken. No serious cleaning of Community area’s. One pool chloor, the other one salt, but no information. And, the garbage drop off area is terrible.

The Samara Resort is an incredible urbanización. Around 160 apartments in the mountains of Los monteros, a 10 min drive away from Marbella to the west or Elviria to the east. The resort is quiet and modern, it has multiple pools including a large jacuzzi and infinity edge pool as well as heated indoor pool and a gym. I would highly recommend the resort as long term residence as well as a short term stay.

Apartamentos Coronado in Marbella offers a residential atmosphere suitable for those seeking a quiet stay. While the accommodations provide essential amenities and clean living spaces, the property is primarily a residential block rather than a primary tourist hub. The pool area and local dining options provide a functional experience for long-term visitors.

Potential guests should note the remote location and limited onsite security measures. While the units feature balconies with ocean views, the service standards regarding personal safety and property management may be inconsistent. It serves as a basic option for those prioritizing solitude over convenience.

Had a studio for a week. It was quite pleasant. The room was nice and clean and the balcony with a view of the ocean was fairly large for two people. If we ever come back to Andalusia we’ll get back to Coronado for sure.

Not the prettiest rooms – decor wise, but it had everything you need for a nice holiday, and it was clean. The apartments were located in a very quiet area, and the pool was very nice. Lovely pizza at the pizzarestaurant. Lovely people too. Will come back.

Hi everyone! I am currently at apartamentos CORONADO in Marbella! Absoluletely DO NOT GO THERE! It is far form everywhere, and MOST OF ALL, my personal things were stolen during a room cleaning and when I came back, my perfume ALIEN THIERRY MUGLER and others few things were missing! I talked to the reception (heritage resorts/apartamtentos coronado) and it is NO one fault… They did not help, they did not care! No security at all on this HOTEL! Therefore tomorrow I ll have to go to the POLICE station tomorrow to make a complaint and advise also BOOKING about them! Please DONT GO there! This is so unrespectul and unhonest from them! I am here on vacation and the cleaners or people from the hotel stole in my room!

The Coronado is a RESIDENTIAL APARTMENT BLOCK. Most Apartments are owned and lived in. It is NOT PRIMARILY A HOLIDAY DESTINATION. Some people are not aware of this when they book. The pool attendant, reception, garden, cleaning and maintenance staff are all paid for by the owners community fees, and are only for the owners. Some owners are renting as holiday lets privately and Heritage own several apartments. Heritage reception is in a different building near the beach at Playa Real. Please don’t expect the place to be run as holiday accommodation. Apartment standards and cleaning arrangements will vary, depending on who you rent from. Mainly, it is apartments, owned and occupied by Residents who live and work in the area, and don’t appreciate noise at unsocial hours. Please be respectful that you are part of a lovely community if you stay here, and understand that IT IS NOT A HOLIDAY SET UP AND NOT AN HOTEL. You will need to store any sunbeds overnight to help the gardener to do his job. He is not employed to move them. The pool attendant is only for safety, he has no towels or responsibility for the Coronado. There is only an outdoor, unheated pool.. The indoor pool shown in the photographs is not a part of the Coronado. All owners know this. The Coronado is a special place welcoming those who treat it well.

Frequently asked questions about beach resorts in Marbella

    How much is a resort?

The cost of staying at a resort depends on the level of luxury, the season, and the specific amenities included in your package. Prices can vary significantly based on whether you are booking a standard room or a premium suite, as well as the proximity to the coastline in the Marbella area. Many resorts also apply additional daily fees for services like pool access, fitness centers, or organized entertainment.

    What is a beach resort?

A beach resort is a self-contained commercial establishment that provides lodging, meals, and recreation facilities located near or directly on a beach. These destinations are designed to offer a comprehensive vacation experience where guests can access various amenities without leaving the property. They typically differ from standard hotels by offering more extensive leisure activities and dedicated beach service areas.

How long should a beach resort stay be?

The duration of a stay at a beach resort is entirely dependent on your personal travel goals and the pace of your desired itinerary. Most visitors choose a stay of between three to seven days to balance relaxation with local exploration. Longer stays are often preferred for all-inclusive arrangements to fully utilize the on-site facilities and amenities.

    Do resorts own the beach?

In most regions, including many coastal areas in Spain, resorts do not own the public beach but rather have rights to manage or provide services on the sand. While a resort may provide private sunbeds, umbrellas, and beach staff, the shoreline itself is often public land. It is always advisable to check the specific property's access policies to understand which parts of the beach are reserved for guests.
