A good place to stop and eat with amazing Mediterranean Sea views. The food is delicious! Spicy prawns pasta and grilled fish is what we chose and not disappointed. Service is fine, not great but good enough. Place would need some nice music to lift up the vibe a bit. Overall a good choice!

We had such an amazing dinner here in Marbella! The paella was absolutely incredible — one of the best we’ve ever had. The seafood was extremely fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. On top of that, the view was simply stunning and created the perfect atmosphere for a relaxing evening. The staff was very attentive, friendly, and professional, making us feel truly welcome from the first minute. Everything about this place exceeded our expectations. We are so happy that we chose this restaurant for dinner — honestly, it turned out to be the best possible choice in Marbella. Definitely a place worth visiting if you are looking for delicious food, beautiful views, and exceptional service!

Our waiter John was absolutely brilliant for our dinner tonight. We booked for a hen do and he was the perfect balance of professional and entertaining with making us feel invited with jokes and even taking brilliant photos of our group on request which were great quality! The food was hot, lovely and tasted fabulous. John looked after us the whole evening and could not fault his service, even gave us a shot to carry on our night in town!

The menu features various meat dishes, though some items struggle with preparation standards and seasoning. Patrons may find the pricing high relative to the portion sizes and the overall dining experience provided at this steakhouse.

A disappointing diner experience. Overall the service was good; we had two waiters and they were polite and professional. The food is not bad, but it is not great either, and it is very overpriced for what you get. We ordered a few starters to share and the cordon bleu. The starters were nice, presentation well-thought-out, however the flavours were rather underwhelming. But the biggest let-down was the cordon bleu. The meat was raw inside, and the so-called brie cheese looked more like a cream cheese “coulant” with mild brie flavouring. I couldn’t finish it as it was quite sickening. Also, priced at around €80 for two (€40 a plate), it is served with a single tiny spoonful of purée. A rather comical sight of a dish that almost hurt my eyes! For dessert we shared the large peanut and lime cookie. It was very cold straight from the fridge, which completely masked the textures and the peanut flavour. I took it home and had it for breakfast the next day; at room temperature, it tasted significantly better. For a 28€ dessert, you expect a lot more care in how it’s served. The bill came out to around €280 for two, with a cocktail and a glass of wine each. But a beautiful atmosphere cannot make up for average, poorly executed food. Definitely not worth the price.

Probably so far our worst dinner of our trip, which is disappointing as we’ve dined in Lena Dubai and had a great evening. We sat on the terrace which was lovely and we much preferred it to the restaurant. Went to order and the waiter pushed to upsell twice. I understand it’s part of the role but there is a way to do so and when we say no.. we mean no. We ordered the steak tartare which says on the menu made at the table.. it wasn’t. We also ordered chicken empanadas which were nice. Main we ordered the Angus rib eye (medium), with mash potato and green beans. The beans were quite dry but the steak and mash were so greasy. No one came over to see if everything was okay. We didn’t eat probably half of the steak. We were done then asked for the bill. Waiter asked if everything was good and we were very honest, then shocked by his attitude saying it was the steak and if we said something if would have done something about it. Not a way to speak to a customer especially one who wasn’t overly happy. Anyway he never returned.. someone else came with the bill which we felt like he was avoiding us. Not great. €300 for dinner for 1 mocktail, 1 cocktail, 1 glass of red, 2 small bottles of water, 2 starters, 1 main and 2 starters. Very expensive for what it was, despite it being Marbella and in such a nice resort. Especially given the service was 👎🏽

We had Pedro as a server and we sat on the terrace overlooking the plaza. He was OUTSTANDING! I have a severe peanut and all nut allergy and he took such great care of me. When I eat at restaurants, especially overseas, someone understanding how severe my allergy is is a serious concern. He was incredible and I highly recommend him and this fantastic establishment. Worth every penny! Definitely sit overlooking the place.

I had a truly disappointing experience at Lena in Marbella. The food was absolutely not what I expected. The burrata salad, which should come with tomatoes, was served with roasted peppers and onions — a bizarre and unpleasant combination that completely ruined the dish. As for the ribeye, it was honestly one of the worst pieces of meat I’ve ever had: tough, flavorless, and downright unpleasant to eat. To make things even worse, the dessert was just as bad — a rose dessert that tasted like stale sliced bread with vanilla ice cream. Completely uninspired and frankly unpleasant. Overall, the salad, steak, and even the dessert were so bad that I left wondering how such a place could have any reputation at all. Definitely not worth the visit.

Service was nice, food too, but this idea of “two hours sitting” 🙄 The restaurant only takes two hours to reserve. We had a reservation for 7:00 PM, and we arrived right on time, among the first in the restaurant. But at 8:40 PM, we were already served the bill with a hint that it was time for us to leave. We didn’t finish our food, and of course, there was no even an idea to have a dessert. This is my second visit to this restaurant, and the second time it’s been a bad experience. I can’t recommend it; there are much better places in Marbella with great meat

Would recommend to go to another restaurant, only dishes that were okay were the peppers and the mashed potatoes. The small burgers were undercooked, and when told that they were they brought a new pair which were aa raw as the first ones. Nine of the cuissons of the meat were correct, asked for a medium rare steak and got a raw steak. To top it off when i told them i did not like it they just answered with: yeah it can happen, chef might have a bad day Edit: they offered me a free desert on my next visit Wont come again, wont recommend again

We were desperate to find some British/American food during our trip to Spain and Jacks Smokehouse certainly delivered! Unbelievably good food and the service from Taras was exceptional – incredibly quick and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We loved it so much that we have already planned to return during the 4 days we have left here! Beautiful view of the marina – cannot recommend enough!

It was nice. Food rather bland but hot. Service was good and attentive but not overbearing. Atmosphere was ruined slightly by very loud music and then a table of 4 pre-madonnas came in for a birthday meal and then a load of boys came in to talk to them. Having driven 30 minutes to dine here left underwhelmed and disappointed.

Jack’s Smokehouse understands the assignment: meat, smoke, and zero interest in salad culture. The brisket was tender, the ribs disappeared suspiciously fast, and the sides actually deserved plate space. If you leave hungry, that’s on

I went with my family (5 people), we waited for our food for more than an hour, the place had very loud music which in most cases is great, but it made it very hard to communicate with the waiters and even with each other. Definitely a disappointing experience for us, but I’m sure some people would like this kind of vibe. They made a few mistakes with our meals but after waiting for so long we weren’t bothered to say anything.

Not all the staff speak English so they have a menu with the translation of most of their regular dishes. It’s easier to find a table during lunch, but dinner service is recommended because their specialty dish (Spanish omelette) is only available in the evening. We were surprised by the generous portions of salad (and we had a half portion). The oxtail stew was fantastic, homemade taste but with a quality restaurant level. We also had the meatballs which were great, but they were overshadowed by the richness of the oxtail stew. I really love the authentic Spanish family restaurant vibe. It’s a rare gem in an overpopulated industry in the heart of Marbella where people usually focus on aesthetics rather than the soul food. I look forward to visiting again to try their tortilla de huevos y patatas during dinner service.

One night while strolling back to our accommodations we walked by a restaurant filled with locals enjoying dinner. We returned the next day for lunch, unfortunately there were no tables available, however reservations were offered to us. We returned 2 days later for our reservation. The wait was worth it. Our meal was amazing! The dishes were presented beautifully and the flavors were delicious. We enjoyed every dish. The malaguena salad was delicious. The cod, potato & orange combination was so unique. Service was friendly & helpful. This is truly a hidden local’s gem. Make a reservation so you won’t be disappointed.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience at Taberna Gaspar. This place truly lives up to its reputation for authentic homemade Spanish food. We started with the pisto, which was outstanding — full of flavor, perfectly cooked, and clearly made with fresh ingredients. The tortilla de patatas was one of the best we’ve ever had: artisanal, perfectly balanced, incredibly juicy and melt-in-the-mouth. You can tell they take real pride in this classic dish. The sole was also tremendous — beautifully cooked, delicate and fresh. We also tried the meatballs, which were rich, comforting and full of homemade character. Every dish felt traditional and carefully prepared. To accompany the meal we had a Louro white wine, which was excellent — crisp, elegant and a perfect match for the food. The whole experience captures what Taberna Gaspar is about: honest, traditional Spanish cuisine with a cozy, local atmosphere. A must-visit in Marbella if you’re looking for authentic flavors and unforgettable homemade dishes. Highly recommended — we will definitely be back.

My family had the best lunch in last seven days, travelling on southwest coast of Spain. The food was fresh and tasty, we had meatballs, steak, avocado salad, paella and musaca…. expected a much better experience considering the high number of reviews and the rating. I have to say, the avocado salad was absolutely excellent — simple, fresh, and very delicious. The cheese, dressing, and avocado were all perfectly balanced, and the presentation was beautiful. I would definitely give the salad a 5/5. However, the service was disappointing. Most of the staff did not speak English, and although I noticed one person who could speak it well, communication was still very difficult. We ordered two drinks and had to follow up several times, but after a long wait, they brought us two dishes instead. It was clear that they hadn’t understood our order at all. The cuscus vegetal was also very interesting .it had a unique combination of flavors and was quite enjoyable.

El Gaucho de Banús offers a dining experience in Marbella characterized by a professional atmosphere and a dedicated staff. While the ambiance is well-regarded, the consistency of the culinary execution varies, particularly regarding the preparation of premium cuts and side dishes.

The establishment faces challenges with service reliability and price-to-quality ratios. Guests may encounter inconsistencies in meat texture and seasoning, making it a destination where the overall experience depends heavily on the day’s kitchen performance.

First time going here after a recommendation of friend, but she went last time here 5 years ago. Was very bad experience with too high prices. Sirloin was full of fat even though it was not an entrecote even. Spinach tasted like frozen spinach zero taste. Potatoes were sour. We had to as the waiters 5 times to make order for food, and we even got decline many times. The bread you get for 2.5 euros per person is literally 10g of sauce and tiny bread. Glasses were dirty. They forgot to add sauce as well, we almost finished the food and then they brought it. While bringing the provolone cheese they did not even bring or offer bread. And when we asked for some we got a stare from the waiter as if it’s something abnormal. For 1 main course and 2 starters and 2 soft drinks we got charged 100 euros which is highly overpriced. And also the waiter licked his hand before placing the plate on the table and it was almost touching the food. Very disappointed with everything will not come back or recommend:

First time leaving a negative review. I ordered the 500g ribeye (€70) and expected a steakhouse of this reputation to be able to cook a steak medium rare. Unfortunately, the steak arrived undercooked. The manager took it back and explained that it needed to be cut to finish cooking, which I was happy to accept. However, when it returned 10 minutes later, it was overcooked and served as sliced pieces that were dry and tough. For a €70 steak, the quality was very disappointing. I eat steak regularly at steakhouses around the world, so I understand that mistakes can happen, but I’ve rarely seen a steak handled this poorly after being sent back. To make matters worse, the meat itself lacked flavour. Overall, a very disappointing dining experience and not what I expected from a restaurant with such a strong reputation.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this was truly awful. I ordered my steak medium rare — it arrived practically mooing, completely undercooked, bland, and with zero seasoning. I had to add salt myself just to give it any flavor. For a steakhouse, that’s unacceptable. My companion ordered a rib-eye and was served what was clearly a striploin. We told the manager multiple times, but they refused to admit they were wrong. Only after he had finished the horrible steak did they finally do anything about it — far too late. The meat was simply poor quality, badly cooked, and hugely disappointing across the table. Everyone in our party had a bad meal. The only bright spot was the young man serving our drinks — friendly, funny, and welcoming — the one redeeming part of an otherwise terrible experience. Awful food. Poor management. Big disappointment. Won’t be back.

Great experience at El Gaucho. Georgie welcomed us with a big smile, made sure we had a great table and set the tone with his friendly and helpful attitude. Service was fast and attentive, creating a warm atmosphere. The filet was perfectly cooked as ordered, the gratin was delicious, and everyone at the table enjoyed their food. The vegetables on the side were less impressive, but overall the quality of the meal was good. Worth noting, bread and butter at the start are charged separately at €2.50. We noticed this is quite common across most restaurants in Marbella, so it’s good to know before ordering. Overall, tasty food, well-cooked meat, and excellent service. A solid choice in Marbella that I would recommend.

First of all, hats off to the team, wonderful people and amazing service, thank you so much. Without a reservation, they found a way in for us and provided an amazing service. The food was so good, highest quality steaks, delicious sides dishes and just a beautiful atmosphere inside, I loved it here, you won’t be disappointed if you visit but I recommend to make a reservation in advance, you won’t regret coming to this restaurant.

We had a fantastic experience at Asador Argentinian. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm and welcoming—everyone was smiling and genuinely attentive. Our waiter was excellent: knowledgeable, patient, and really helped guide us through the menu. His recommendations made ordering easy, and his wine pairing suggestions were spot on and elevated the whole meal. The grill chef was also a highlight—friendly, confident, and clearly skilled. The meat came out exactly as I’d hoped, cooked precisely to our request and delivered right on time. The sear was outstanding, with that beautiful Maillard crust that added a deep, rich flavor and made every bite taste even better. If you’re looking for a place that takes its grilling seriously and pairs it with great hospitality, this is the place! (Everything was so good we forgot to take pictures)

We had a lovely dinner at Origen, the service was impeccable, and the meat was genuinely some of the best I’ve had. The menu was the perfect size, there was a good range of starters, and the wine list was superb. Would highly recommend!

Great food and excellent service! We went to Origin Asador yesterday evening and we had a reservation but asked to move it to an earlier time, and the staff kindly accommodated us. Our waiter – from Uruguay – was super friendly and attentive throughout the evening. My husband had a Ribeye which was enormous, easily enough for 2 people and I had Solomilo which was excellent. Overall, it was a very nice experience. If you’re a true steak lover, you’ll really notice the quality of their meat although it is a bit on the pricey side.

Absolutely recommend it! It’s not my first time to be here, but first time to try the lunch menu! So good! Only 28 euros and so many great choices and even a drink ( beer, wine, juice) to chose from. Service is really nice and they help to suggest you the best! Meat is fresh, well prepared and, frankly one of the best places to go for a steak in all Marbella…

The best Argentinian we’ve ever been to & we’ve been to a lot! Just fantastic food, from the starters, mains and desserts. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. Make sure you book online before you want to go as it’s always busy and leave enough time to try and park the car. Our new favourite restaurant 😊

Service is excellent, friendly and professional. A pleasure to be served by people who clearly know their job, not something that should be taken for granted on the Costa del Sol! The quality of meat and sausages and their preparation is second to none. I will most definitely be eating here again! And remember, quality does not come cheap!!

Very local restaurant. Finding the exact place is challenging and finding parking is another challenge. Food quality and taste is excellent. You need to request some items before as it may become not available. The lamb shoulder was not available and should be requested when making reservation. The lamb leg was good and the steak and fish as well. Service and communication was a problem.

Great Spanish food from the north of the country, with big portions in meat and fish and traditional well cooked food. This is a traditional Navarra restaurant. The price is not cheap but the quantities deserve it and the quality as well , service is impressive and it’s kind of a high standard restaurant. You need to go if you want to meet some cultural typical Spanish food from the north with people from there

Great food in a surprising location. The sea bass is amazing. The salads are also very tasty. Great wines especially the Ribera del Duero range. I’m not a cider fan but the barrels are in the middle of the restaurant and people come just for the cider. A must eat place for foodies. Meat selections are great. Highly recommend

If you are looking for good meat, stop looking and go here! Great atmosphere, authentic experience right out of the Basque Country. Generous portions, delicious ingredients and dishes, and great value too. Get a cider and enjoy free refills straight from the barrels that are in the restaurant. Croquettes are incredible and so are all the mushroom dishes.

I live in Marbella and we’ve been regulars at this restaurant for a long time. We always came back for the excellent Menú del Día, especially the M2 option. It was a great choice for a quick lunch with really good price-quality ratio — the menu plus a drink would come to under €16, with bread and chimichurri included. Unfortunately, our last visit was disappointing. They now charge €1.30 for a few pieces of bread and another €1.30 for the chimichurri that were always included. The Coke Zero also arrived in a tiny 20-25cl bottle, barely one glass. All of a sudden the bill is around 20% higher. For a tourist visiting once it might not matter, but as a local with many options around, this changes everything. What used to be a reliable, attractive choice for a good-value menu del dia lunch is now overpriced. My advice to the owner: remove the charges for bread and chimichurri. Keeping it competitive will make a big difference in keeping regular customers coming back.

iberico secreto – cooked to perfection, not too fatty spicy sausage – the smoke on this was on point empanadas – not too oily, generous amount of filling burger – done just right; medium with the accurate shade of pink chimichurri – house special served upon ordering of drinks, we ended up finishing the entire container price was surprisingly decent and the servers are the best so far, in our trip around spain! those who could speak english, engaged. those who couldn’t, tried their best to provide amazing service still. my go to place the next time i’m back in Marbella!

We visited without a reservation on a sunday evening. No wait for a table, and friendly welcoming service when we arrived. We chose to be seated inside, but near the wide open front. The interior was pleasing to the eye. From the Steak menu, we both went with the Rib-eye. I had the 500g cooked medium-rare with Blue Cheese Sauce and French Fries. My daughter had the 300g cooked medium with Green Pepper Sauce and French Fries. Whilst waiting, I browsed the Red Wine section on the menu and opted for a lovely Malbec, my daughter chose a Coca-Cola. We were served Bread, Butter, & Chimichurri, which was delicious. The food took a while but it was completely worth the wait. The meat was so tender, succulent, and flavoursome. I was expecting it to be a solid meal but it was actually one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. The sauces were superb and very generous in portion size. This was by far the best meal I had during my 4 days in Marbella. I noticed the eating challenge afterwards, and I’m very confident I can take it on successfully if I manage to visit again.

What a beautiful place. Initial thoughts of the building and atmosphere are incredible, fires to keep customers warm, cooler places away from them to sit if it’s too hot, theme of the building, menu, tables is very clean. I ordered the 500gr Rib-Eye Steak, Well Done with Sweet Potato Wedges and the Green Pepper Sauce, it came out and instantly I knew it was going to be magical, I cut into it effortlessly (Yes… even at well done) took my first bite and it was so tender and melted in my mouth, I could bite through it so easy it was an unreal taste in my mouth, the staff couldn’t be more ready to help with anything you needed and gave off a very happy, cheerful vibe, you could tell they enjoyed their job, as much as someone can enjoy a job. Overall, service was excellent with great bathroom facilities, more than happy to help staff, amazing chefs and some really memorable food, worth every bit of money, couldn’t have asked for a better experience, thank you Angus.

Booked a table for dinner for 2, Went to give us someone else’s bread & food . We then ended up getting no bread but being charged for it, service was the worst I have ever seen and plenty of tables where giving out Starters fired down . Asked for salt and pepper never arrived Got our mains, now the steak was top class but again asked for salt and pepper still waiting . When finished our mains they took them away and never came back for dessert / coffee We called 3 different people for the bill to someone finally listening to us, asked to take the bread off the bill as we never got it and I got an eye roll Where as the food was lovely , I would not recommend this place as service was the worse iv ever had

Frequently asked questions about steakhouses in Marbella

    Are steakhouses expensive?

The cost of dining at a steakhouse can vary significantly depending on the quality of the meat and the location. While some establishments offer casual dining experiences, premium cuts like ribeye or filet mignon in a high-end setting will typically command a higher price point. Prices generally depend on the grade of the beef, the side dishes included, and the level of service provided.

What is the difference between a steakhouse and a bistro?

A steakhouse is a specialized restaurant that focuses primarily on high-quality cuts of meat as the main attraction. In contrast, a bistro is a smaller, often more casual establishment that offers a wider variety of multi-course meals, including appetizers, salads, and various cooked dishes. While steakhouses emphasize the grill or oven, bistros focus on a broader, more traditional culinary selection.

What are common steakhouse side dishes and sauces?

Steakhouses typically serve specific accompaniments like house-made breads, specialty bacon, and various signature sauces to complement the meat. Common sides include roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or fries, while sauces may range from classic peppercorn and mushroom to more savory, herb-based reductions. These items are designed to balance the richness of the steak.
