Great art gallery of Julian Raven, a Marbella based oil and acrylic artist. The gallery is such a great place, the artworks work very well in the space. The inauguration was amazing with so many people attending it really was quite special. It’s situated in Calle Oro 9 in Marbella.

A few days ago, I walked past a vibrant pink building, and I wondered what it could be. A few days later I walk in and I was surprised to see the stunning paintings. The artist, Julian Raven was friendly and welcoming and was willing to show us his art. This art studio is beautiful.

I recently visited Raven Art Studio and I highly recommend it. It’s a place filled with art, with an atmosphere that conveys joy and happiness. Julian not only offers an artistic expression that spans impressionism, abstract, and contemporary art, but also a profound sense of inner peace.

Calm and beauty at this Marbella museum. This museum is such a fantastic find in the heart of the Old Town! Since the old city wall is literally just around the corner, it’s the perfect addition to a morning walk through Marbella’s history. The collection is surprisingly prestigious for a local museum. You’ll see incredible works by Picasso, Miró, and Dalí, alongside other top-tier Spanish artists. I really enjoyed the educational exhibit across the reception. It does a great job explaining the various engraving and printmaking techniques, which makes you appreciate the skill behind the art even more. It is located in a beautifully restored 16th-century old hospital. Excellent explanations of techniques like etching and lithography. Check hours, since it closes at 2pm some days and also for lunch break. 5 euros cash ONLY.

Beautiful building, historically an old hospital facility, now being nicely repurposed as a small city contemporary art museum. Think Picasso, Warhol, etc. Staff was super friendly, and enthusiastic about it too, which is fun. Did I mention that it is currently FREE. I love cool and free things.

Fabulous museum in the centre of Marbella so many expositions great hard work it’s a must to visit. Museo del Grabado is located in the Oldtown everybody should give you directions to where it actually is situated. So beautifully laid out with some fabulous artwork from Picasso from Joan Miró are among some of the fabulous artists featured here in the museum. The staff are very friendly and very informative they give you all information and a mini tour before you start taking access to the main galleries. Well worth a visit if you’re in Marbella please don’t miss it you’ll be very surprised.

Title: Small and Modest Collection Review: I recently visited the Museo del Grabado in Marbella. It’s a quiet, modest museum with a small collection of contemporary graphic art. Worth a short stop if you’re in the Old Town, but not a must-see.

We specifically traveled here from Campamento to visit the museum, but it was already closed at 13.05pm even though the posted closing time is 14.00 PM. Very disappointing!

We kept the best for last! On our way to the airport, we stumbled upon the amazing Galeria Lamanai. What incredible Mexican art! What was most amazing was the energy of the owner. He took his time and explained all the details behind the art, including the meaning of every animal on their Mexican Zapoteca calendar, as well as the coloring and techniques using a cactus needle. He filled us with so much positive energy that our travel back home was smoother.

Mexican art and Portugal art. TIP: The owner of the shop is very knowledgeable on the artists in Mexico. The Portugal art explains itself with your surroundings. Very authentic love of the art and people who make it.

Incredible art, Incredible people! I went for the fantastical Alebrije and stayed for the amazing owners, Lucia and Nerrie! I had the honor of visiting the alebrije workshop in Oaxaca they work with and Lamanai’s gallery in Old Town is a beautiful representation of this magnetic art form. Prices are reasonable, the diversity of pieces is great, and the shop is gorgeous. Stop by, buy art, go next door for tapas! You won’t regret it.

We loved visiting this shop. So many beautifully, crafted pieces. I got some gorgeous handwoven purses. The owners were very friendly and informative, I couldve listened to them all day. Showed us how the pieces had been woven and some photos. We loved it. I think it’ll be a firm favourite for me to visit in future.

Yesterday, while strolling in the afternoon, we happened to stop by the Gallery, and we had the great luck of being able to meet the author and artist Álvaro Reja.
