Loved watching Kool and the Gang here! Great atmosphere and the open air venue is lovely and easy to get to. Parking can be a real pain though so allow time. Or see if you can walk to it via the promenade which is well lit and packed with cafes and restaurants all the way!

Having lived there for 20 years and been to all the tennis clubs in the area, I would judge this one to be the best, by quite a margin. People forget the important tennis players that graced this tennis club (having been founded in collaboration with Borg) and it still retains its old world glory.

Went there while on vacation in Marbella to play tennis. You can reserve and pay for a court using this link: https://www.marbella.es/web/deportes/instalaciones-deportivas/item/36158-polideportivo-paco-cantos.html The courts are ok. The nets are in great condition but the hard court surface is a little slick. I think it was painted with a strange type of paint that’s slippery. But for 3 Euros, you can’t beat the price.

My husband and I played here on 02 June 2025. The owner of the club, Mr Santi, was very welcoming, friendly and generous. He lent us a pack of pickleballs, and helped to arrange for 6 other players to play with us for 2 hours on his outdoor courts. Prices were very reasonable. He also has cold drinks, coffee (espresso) and beer on tap available. Santi made our experience to play pickleball in Spain a really nice one. He also gave us 2 club t-shirts as souvenirs. Highly recommend to contact him through Google Maps contact if you are heading to Estepona. Thanks Santi!

At this place, we tried pickleball and padel for the first time and were welcomed by a very nice and friendly owner of the club. Price was fine for an hour and included the balls and rackets. We also got a little introduction to the sport which was really helpful. We could book a court within an hour and got every necessary information on the phone in advance. There are some parking spots in front of the entrance. Highly recommend if you are looking for a down to earth place with kind people.

Lovely welcome from the wonderful owner who made us feel super welcome, lent us rackets and balls and was super friendly. All in a court and all equipment was only €15, coffees only €1.50 too. Sadly the heavens opened after 10 mins, rare for Marbella and he refused to take payment, then gave us club T shirts! A real gentleman, please support this business and enjoy his hospitality.

Great facilities with lots of well maintained clay courts. Getting onto to the courts can be difficult if there’s a there’s a gym session running as they use the outside space. There was some maintenance work happening around the courts, which will enhance access but wasn’t great on the day.

One of the most positive experiences I’ve ever had playing tennis – the coaches Karolina and Leandro for tennis and David for fitness showed such passion, care and kindness for us. We learned so much on a technical level, but importantly in a fashion that would resonate and translate to our games as well as fitness recovery. Personally I could feel my body and mind start to shift over the matter of a few days in the way I approached to game. Thank you to all of the other staff who truly made it feel like a community and home for our time. Will definitely return!

First class facilities, outstanding coaches, incredibly friendly staff, unfortunately not organised very well at all. It took significant effort to plan a four day schedule whilst staying at Don Carlos. Even when doing so several weeks in advance before the high season. Availability for coaching was extremely limited, so had to book less (I tried to book gym sessions and more lessons etc). The staff were friendly – they did try. They requested communication to be via WhatsApp which is fine however the messages were then not responded to for several days, a week even, which I had to chase. Not what you expect from a 5 star resort… The facility was also quite empty so as mentioned could do with some improved structure and more personal trainers, coaches etc. A wonderful experience still, though if it is to last need some improved management. Only leaving this review as I want them to succeed. Hopefully they listen and improve the communication and availability.

Rafa, my friend, and I went to play an hour of tennis at your establishment, which cost €120 (basic rackets included). Have you lost your sense of the value of money? The following days, we played on clay courts of the same quality for €20, with an equally beautiful sea view. You took us for fools once, but there won’t be a second time.

My wife and I discovered Lagom last summer and quickly became regulars. We love the healthy food, the atmosphere, and especially the peanut butter chocolate granola bar, which I genuinely have almost every day when I’m in Marbella. Unfortunately, this trip has been disappointing. Google shows the café closes at 10pm, yet I arrived at 9:30pm and was told it was already closed. Thankfully, one staff member, Shaima, was incredibly kind and helpful. Even though they were closing, she helped me get the desserts I wanted and even added a couple of complimentary items. She was fantastic. The bigger issue is communication and customer service. I was told by a member of staff that, due to a padel tournament, Lagom would be open until midnight from Thursday to Sunday and that we should come back to dine and watch the matches. So my wife and I returned the following evening at 9:30pm, only to be told the café was closed. After I mentioned the previous conversation, the explanation changed to “open only for members.” If opening hours have changed, please update Google and communicate clearly. Driving 20–30 minutes only to be turned away twice is frustrating. And when the confusion is caused by incorrect information, a little flexibility and a more welcoming attitude would go a long way. Still a place I want to love, but this experience left us disappointed.

We ate here during the Davis Cup. There was a lot of atmosphere, good views, the food took quite some time to arrive after we ordered. We asked for a sandwich without cheese, they offered the Club Sandwich however it still came with cheese and the matcha wasn’t the best, however their noodles were really good! It’s a cute cafe by the Tennis court in Puente Romano!

Huge appreciation to Alex and Leandro. Their coaching is truly outstanding — highly professional, structured, and tailored to my level. What stood out most was how they helped me fine-tune not just my technique, but especially my match tactics and decision-making on court. Every session had clear intent, and I could feel real progress day by day. They bring a great balance of intensity, positivity, and attention to detail, which made the experience both effective and enjoyable. I used this club for my workouts during my vacation in Marbella. Overall, the facilities are okay, but you can definitely tell that the equipment and the gym setup are quite dated and have seen better days. It is still perfectly fine and sufficient for a basic workout, though. At €80 per month, the price is very reasonable for the Marbella area. A solid 3-star experience—it gets the job done if you just want to stay in shape while traveling.

We arrived with low expectations having read ‘poor’ to ‘average’ reviews on Trip Advisor but this lovely sports club exceeded all our expectations! There is a mix of nationalities and the staff are very friendly! The restaurant staff were lovely, professional and efficient. The Dutch chef makes a fabulous array of dishes – try the goat cheese salad. Avi gave us our first padel lesson and we loved the introduction to this fabulous sport. We can see why it is so popular in Spain. The pool area is beautiful and well cared for. The clay courts are well positioned and well maintained! Lots to do. Rooms are very nice and it is an excellent location. Thanks to all for looking after us so well!!!!

Friendly staff and very nice courts. The club booked me a €70/hour lesson with Mustafa. After a 2–3 month break from tennis, I was rusty and looking for technical coaching to help improve my game. Unfortunately, the session felt more like a ball-feeding exercise than a coaching lesson. I received very little technical instruction or feedback, and the ball feeding was not always consistent. I left feeling frustrated, as I was expecting coaching rather than simply hitting balls. The facilities and staff were excellent, but the coaching experience did not justify the price for me. I subsequently visited other clubs in the area and found coaches who appeared to offer more technical instruction at a lower cost.

This place is a gem! They stand behind their name and philosophy. My son who is not a fan of camps would travel all the way from Chicago to Marbella to join them for the summer. Thank you for showing him what it really means to be a part of a community.

6 of us intermediate level players tried a few tennis clubs in the Marbella area over a few days & we found Tennis Brothers to have the best courts, friendliest welcome & tastiest bar food. Their tapas, chicken salads & quesadillas were superb. Great to enjoy in the shade after a good game. Heineken and Amstel on draft 👌🏽

I’ve had tennis lessons here a few times a week for the past 5 months and loved every single one. Angel has been the best coach I’ve ever had, giving me feedback on every single stroke. He always has a smile on his face, making every lesson thoroughly enjoyable.

How much do tennis clubs and lessons cost?

The cost of tennis club memberships and individual lessons varies depending on the level of facilities and the expertise of the instructor. Membership fees typically depend on whether you require full access to amenities or just court time, while lesson prices are generally based on the duration of the session and the coach's experience level.

What is a tennis club and what are the advantages of joining one?

A tennis club is a private or public sports facility that provides courts, equipment, and often social amenities for players of various skill levels. What is the difference between types of tennis courts?

The main differences between tennis courts lie in their surface types, such as clay, grass, or hard courts, which affect ball bounce and player movement. Each surface offers a unique playing experience, and choosing the right one depends on whether you prefer a slower, sliding game or a faster, consistent pace.
