We all enjoyed staying at El Gallo! The rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean. Antonio is a kind host who was always available to help us to get to know the historic old city centre. We also enjoyed having lunch at the El Gallo restaurant, where the food and service were excellent. We hope to return to Marbella again and if we do, we look forward to staying at El Gallo.

Myself and my partner stayed here for a week. We have no complaints at all! Antonio was very welcoming and super friendly. The rooms have been recently renovated which was a lovely surprise. |The location is perfect in the heart of the old town with lots of restaurants within a 2 minute walk. We would highly recommend staying here! We also had a meal in the lovely restaurant below, it was always busy with locals which shows the foods high quality. Thanks Antonio

We had such a lovely dinner at the restaurant at Hostal El Gallo in Marbella’s old town! Tucked away on a quiet side street, this place was a true hidden gem. Our girls were in the mood for grilled chicken and rice, and the menu did not disappoint. We started with mouthwatering gambas pil pil and grilled aubergine — both full of flavor. For mains, we had grilled meat and calamari with vegetables, all beautifully cooked and served with a fantastic rosé. Amazing quality at very reasonable prices. Highly recommend if you’re in Marbella and looking for great food and value!

Albergue Juvenil Marbella offers a central location near the coast, providing easy access to local attractions. The facility includes communal leisure areas, a swimming pool, and on-site parking, making it a functional choice for budget-conscious travelers seeking proximity to the town center.

Very disappointing experience. The room did not meet basic standards of comfort or ventilation, and caused physical discomfort, so we left on the same day. We were initially told a refund would be provided, but this was later denied. I would not recommend this accommodation.

The location is perfect next to the center of Marbella and beaches. It has secured parking on-site (free when I went there), a big swimming pool, huge communal spaces with sofas and tables, a microwave for you to use (as there’s no kitchen it is well appreciated) and some pool tables. The staff was very pleasant and welcoming. Included breakfast was great considering it’s included in the 19€ bed rate. Room was basic but comfortable with a nice powerful shower. Towels and soap were provided for free (not sure if it’s always the case or just an off-season thing).|Would certainly recommend!

We paid 120€ for a room, we chose this stay because of the swimming pool but it was closed. Our room was basic, the door of the bathroom did not work, we didnt have soap or shower gel. We had to pull the sheets for ourselves. The guy at the reception was very nice, the location was good. To sum up the room was basic, it wouldnt be a problem, but for 120€ it is.

Very close to city center. Very hot water. Nice view from the window (the sea). Nice area. Good reccomendations from the staff. We took our room on booking and it seems that if we wanted to receive the price we contracted we needed a tourist card. Otherwise we needed to pay 2euros per person. Though, the person at reception was very nice and helped us. The best point is it’s location. Very good. I would definitely stay there again.

This is one place that is at a walking distance to both the bus station and the old town. Decent and clean room. Good shower. You have a swimming pool and a tennis court, though I did not see anyone using it. The negative is the breakfast – terrible quality. Better eat outside.

Very nice stay at a good price. I reserved a “single” room, which was bigger than I expected with a 3/4 double bed that was extremely comfortable, plus towels and soap provided, AC and even a little mini fridge. Both the room and the hotel were beautiful, with a lovely roof terrace. Location was excellent, about 5 minutes away from Old Town and the beach, and a couple supermarkets even closer. Only met one staff member, but he was very friendly and efficient. Would definitely stay again

Other than a slight inconveniece at the check in, the experience was pleasant. The room was tidy, nice bathroom and shower. The walls are thin so depending on the room or floor you might hear other people walking through the hallways or coming in/out of the hotel. Great and quiet location.

Great hotel, amazing staff and perfect location. The rooms are clean and tidy. It has everything you might need (hairdryer, shampoo, gel, towels, AC,…). A few weeks after making a reservation with them for 1 night, I received a notification that they want me to stay for at least 2 nights or cancel my reservation. This is deeply unprofessional. You didn’t set a minimum 2 night stay rule when I first made my booking and they changed it later. It’s understandable you change your mind, but you should honor the reservations that you have already confirmed instead of making me go look for another hotel. If it’s important for you to know your reservation will actually be honoured when you show up, I advise avoiding this property altogether.

A decent hostel very close to the city centre & beach. The room was big& clean enough. However I think all drain pipes are connected together & henceforth our wash basin was stinking. There is just 1 toilet for every floor which was another pain. Most of the time the toilets were occupied & I had to wait for ages. The receptionist, I think he’s the owner too, wasn’t very pleasant or welcoming. Overall it’s an ok ish hotel worth the money you pay.

Hostal Berlin – Marbella’s Hidden Gem! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ From the moment I walked through the door, my first impression was simply: Wow! Fantastic location, short stroll over the road to the beach and across to the marina. Easy walk to shops/restaurants/ATM/bus stops. We had room #1 on the ground floor, Cosy room with double bed, wardrobe with hangers, arm chair, bedside table and storage shelves. – plenty of room for us to un-pack all of our clothes etc! Nice big en-suite shower room, the shower was suitably powerful enough to get through my huge mane of hair – no problem! Fresh towels every day. |If you are looking for a base to stay whilst you spend your days on the beach or exploring the beautiful town, I highly recommend Hostal Berlin. We enjoyed our stay in Hostal Berlin so much that we extended it for two extra days. We had a rooftop room. It was silent and romantic there. The room is quite small, but it has all you could expect in a hostal room, a bed, a wardrobe, even a mini fridge and a kettle. I did not think there would be a cleaning lady taking care of the room and exchanging towels every day, so it was a nice surprise. On top of that we could enjoy having breakfast and dinner at the rooftop terrace with great view all by ourselves! You are also free to use the ground floor space and have a tea or a coffee. The staff was polite and friendly. The hostal is located pretty close to the old town of Marbella, just a few minutes by walk. It is calm and seems life a safe location. It might be harder to find a free parking place, but you can always manage to do so a few minutes far from here. The only disadvantages I could think of are no hair-dryer available in the bathroom and no lift – which might be a problem for people with disabilities, also the stairs are quite narrow so it was quite a challenge to get all our luggage upstairs. In summary, I really liked it here and I think that’s it’s a great deal for this price. I can recommend it!

It was so horrible the favouritism is abhorrent and the food was disgusting. Every monitor did not care about what was happening and was being rude. When we had to put our backpacks in the rooms (even though we didn’t sleep there) I noticed a very large amount of bugs despite people spending the night in it. The soup was disgusting. It tasted bland except for the undercooked carrots that later gave me a stomach bug. When me and my friend went to complain to the reception they said it’s not their problem and it’s probably our fault. Also, the monitors cussed infront of everybody.

I had an awful time. the showers only had boiling water and I burned myself, found a condom on the floor, poor breakfast only having bread & Biscuits, broken toilet, yellow bedsheets and disturbing messages on & under the mattresses, celiac discriminatory, disgusting food and dirty plates and trays. A group friends and I stayed here for a weekend in April. The location is fab, right beside the beach and orange square. The staff were helpful. The rooms were cleaned daily and also tidied for us by the cleaners. It was amazing value. Some rooms could do with a bit of updating but you can see this has started on many and they are like a boutique hotel. My room, 104, was really lovely. It had two small balconies and a great bathroom. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

Hi, I stayed in Hostel Enriqueta for a week in August this year. I can’t fault this Hotel at all, the staff were so lovely and accommodating at all times. The room was perfect, despite facing the street, very little noise if any. The room was airy and cleaned every day, fresh towels and spotless clean every day. The location is its best advantage, you are literally right in the middle of the Old Marbella Town which is sooo beautiful and charming. Great to be able to get ready and not have to jump in a cab, just walk around the corner to Orange Square and then literally you will find endless restaurants, tapas and lovely bars and shops everywhere. I would highly highly recommend Hostel Enriqueta to anyone visiting Marbella and looking for good quality accommodation in a very central location within the Old Marbella Town.

Needed a room for the night and as long as it’s clean and represents good value no problem. However the quaint reception was looking promising and staff were fine but the room was dated and tired, the en suite had ground in dirt especially around the shower door and tiles. I could go on about the awful bed and pillow, shower sachets that you could only open with scissors only to discover enough to wash a mouse and on this occasion my visit here did not concur with other travellers. At 50 euros for the night it should have been at least half that. Did I have the worst room in the hostel??|Good points, location

Hostal Paco Marbella has a great location right in the city center, which is definitely its biggest advantage. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. However, there are several downsides. Parking is not included and must be paid separately in a garage if you stay more than a few hours, costing an additional €38 for 24 hours. The room itself was relatively okay, but there was a noticeable damp smell. At night, some kind of generator or machine turns on, creating quite a bit of noise, which made it hard to rest properly. Also, the toilet seat was poorly attached. On the positive side, the price was reasonable for Marbella, which is worth noting. Overall, it’s not the worst option for a short stay, but there are definitely areas that could be improved.

Extremely disappointing and completely misleading||Our experience at TAK Boutique Hotel Marbella was appalling from start to finish. It took us almost an hour to gain access because there was no key in the key safe and communication was extremely poor.||When we finally entered, the room was tiny and nothing like the accommodation shown in the photographs. Most concerningly, there was no private bathroom in the tiny room, which was not what we believed we had booked. We felt the listing and photographs were completely misleading.||We left within 20 minutes because the accommodation was not suitable. Despite not staying, the total cost to my friend came to €309, including an additional disputed charge of €200.||This was an extremely stressful and expensive experience, and we would strongly advise others to check every detail carefully before booking. Based on our experience, we would not recommend this property and would avoid it at all costs.

Dreadful place to stay. Constant traffic noise day and night. Shower dirty and broken. Walls paper thin. Could hear people above talking and going to the toilet. The shower to the room next door was against the headboard of the bed and very noisy. Stairs are steep and dark. Bath towels were threadbare. Curtain pole collapsed when closing the curtains. Staff member available remotely via WA. No internal locks on the bedroom door. No pillows just a long bolster as hard as a rock. Couldn’t wait to leave. Charged €85 for this nightmare stay.

I booked a room with two beds and when we arrived, the room had only one bed. The staff on WhatsApp is QUICK to respond and immediately sent us to another room with two beds. The room was clean, the AC worked brilliantly. I always travel with earplugs, so I didn’t hear the trash collection or drunk people on the street and slept like a baby. The beds are comfortable. Complimentary coffee on the roof terrace in the morning is a nice touch. Rooms are basic and small, but have cute decor. I took a shower at 1am and had hot water. My friend took a shower in the morning and the water turned cold, then stopped. Whoops. Maybe the water heater had had enough. Excellent customer service/response to all queries. Good basic lodging.

I am writing this review so people can be aware of what they are booking beforehand. I paid 240 euro for a night in a tiny room with a double bed which was against the wall because otherwise there was no space for it. Not even bed side tables. Bathroom was outside the room, no locks (staff said it was a private bathroom but outside the room and without locks, it did not feel very private). The mattress was like a rock, the walls like paper, I always carry ear plugs with me but not that night, so in the morning we could hear everyone going up and down the stairs or talking at reception. I would not recommend this place at all. The bedroom was clean but not the bathroom, there were hairs on the floor and both were so tiny that felt a little bit like being on a cage. I feel like I have been ripped off for the amount of money I paid. I am Spanish living in London and even there you get a nice hotel room for that price.

We were extremely disappointed with the first night we had here. We booked a room with two beds which is a slightly higher price and we got one bed, the toilet is in the room, with a sliding door that just misses your knees to close (and we are short). The sheets were dirty and one of the towels too. When we asked to be put in the room we booked and for clean sheets they said nothing they can do until tomorrow. We are still trying to get compensation for the incorrect room and having to sleep in dirty sheet. The staff have said there is nothing they can do and their manager is away so can’t help me. Not impressed with this service. The next day we got moved to the room we booked but it was still quite dirty with bugs dead on the walls. The walls are also super thin so you can hear everything outside in the hallways like talking, walking, doors opening/closing and girls singing at 3am. The location is really good for accessing the beach, city and bus routes. Which is the main thing they have going for them.

I stayed in this property for no more than 10 minutes. Getting access was difficult because the address was incorrect. Speaking with the hostel reception over the phone was frustrating as his English was terrible. We took one look at the room and felt utter dismay. There was a dead cockroach and the room was dingy, small and hot. It was also very noisy. However the reason we left was that the door to the room was thin and made of plywood and had a hole which was covered with sellotape. We did not feel safe. I also noticed scuff marks around the lock on the front door. We left and asked for a refund. Of course this led to messages and a phone call to me at 2.50am! Lots of words but no refund. This hostal has been done out very cheapy. The bed looked rock hard and is a camp bed. The toilet is in the room separated by a plywood screen. I have lost £230 but it is not worth risking your safety. Tak(y) indeed.

The staff i super friendly and helpful. Señor Rafael helped us out and we could also store our luggage there before our departure. ☺️ The rooms are bright and nice and it is a 5 min walk to a really nice beach

This hotel is perfect if you want a cheap place to stay in the centre of Marbella. It’s cheap and cheerful, but don’t stay here if you’re looking for 5 star luxury. The room was clean and comfortable and I wasn’t kept awake with noise during the night. The shower worked fine with plenty of hot water. There was a fan in the room which was great. The bed was comfortable and in general all was good. I think the bad reviews are from people who are never happy.

Great service, amazing location, good price too considering we arrived during the festival. Bed very comfy. The shower was slightly broken but that was fine, we didn’t mind. Only main issue was the air con was very poor and did not really work. But overall, enjoyed the stay.

Other than the location which is great, I cannot stress how grim the room was. Dirty bathroom, hairs everywhere In it plus the fact it has two showers physically in the shower – 1 was not plumbed in and was just hanging off the wall, the 2nd was the hand held which you had to hold as no working bracket. Towels not changed at all in our 5 day stay. The pillow was a lump of foam covered solely by a single ply sheet that had rips all the rough it. Room smelt musty. Toilet had a constant drip on it which is annoying as walls paper thin, tap in sink hanging off. Dirt on all the skirting board and generally looked very tired. I complained on first day to the lady who could not have looked any less bothered, I said I wasn’t happy and wanted our money back, she just kept grinning and saying it’s all paid for. (Don’t I know it!) it is cheap yes but unless you really aren’t bothered about hygeine etc stay away!!!

A great place to stay in the most central area in Marbella. The location is perfect and myself and my sister felt very safe here. The hotel itself is great value for money and had everything we needed for our 2 nights stay including a balcony overlooking the windy streets below. Great place would stay again and lovely sun deck on the top floor. Very cool atmosphere with boho theme throughout

Delightful location in the Old Town of Marbella. Really peaceful room with a large terrace and sun loungers. Made so welcome by the owner! Definitely recommended, and I look forward to staying here on my next visit to Marbella.
