Had the best day at Mogli, honestly such a nice beach club, really good vibe without trying too hard. Joan and Martha have been looking after us all day and they’ve been amazing. Super attentive, really friendly, and just made everything easy. Proper good service without being in your face. The whole place is just a vibe, nice setting, chilled but still feels a bit boujee. Would 100% come back.

What can I say. If you don‘t go here, there is little space for the others – and me😜 It is just fantastic here. If you enjoy a nice friendly and very professional service with a warm host, this is the place to be. If you value fresh good food where everybody finds his/her highlight then this place is a must. Great food and very good wine list. And if you want to eat at one of the greatest spot along the Costa del sol then don‘t miss it and book in advance as this place is rare and popular!

What an amazing restaurant. The staff, service and setting is incredible! The food was outstanding. If you’re coming to Marbella and you’re looking for a fantastic restaurant, make a reservation here! Front of house manager, forgot his name, sorry. What a great guy. We’re back in July for another week and have already booked it for a Birthday celebration. Thank you Luuma!

Fabulous food with great service. Party of 22 for dinner, easily accommodated. Staff were great and the gent on front of house had prepared two tables – inside and outside as the weather was turning cool. The two outstanding dishes were the burger and the rack of ribs, but am the food was great.

Modern, chic asian restaurant fusing many different styles. Their dumplings were good. Miso soup was ok but nothing special. The Eel nigiri was great from chefs recommendations. We had the large sushi and sashimi platter, and most were just decent but we’ve had way better elsewhere. Maybe a bit overrated but still fine.

We once again had the the sincere pleasure of dining and celebrating New Year’s Eve at KOI Marbella and being attended to mostly by a Amy who along with the rest of her professional colleagues made the night most pleasant for everyone and I applaud the teamwork on a job well-done. It is really a pleasure watching everyone work in harmony and I love your uniforms. The choice of music and the singers voice and ambience brought the night alive and most diner’s were singing along which made the restaurant became alive. I’ve left the last part to the Chef and his team who worked endlessly behind the Glass all night to make sure that we the diner’s longing for the next dish to come to our tables. Every dish was harmonesly complemented the next and they were all exceptionally well selected. Again I wholeheartedly applaud KOI for making our night most memorable and a truly special thanks to Amy for attending to all our tables and making us all feel at home. I have to mention the price of €145 per person for a New Year’s Eve dinner all included was very well calculated proving to be affordable for all ages who dined at the restaurant. I regrettably have to mention the fact that “Smoking Vapes” inside restaurants should be “PROHIBITED” as it can seriously affect those who suffer from breathing difficulties. I counted no less than 6 people who endlessly and inconspicuously Vaped all night and ignored every request made by the staff. I believe it should be clearly posted as my suffering today is not a good start to the year.

Fantastic Food! Wonderful presentation! If you enjoy ROKA/NOBU come here you won’t be disappointed! We had a very warm welcome from Ikram with a lovely smile. Celebrated my birthday with dinner recently at Ta Kumi in Marbella – it was an amazing sushi experience! My husband and I both enjoyed the 8 course tasting menu which was a journey through the sea. Some highlights included the oyster starter, the truffled tuna tartare and the sweet shrimps, prepared two ways. But honestly, every single course we had was fresh and a pleasant surprise. The restaurant’s sommelier recommended a nice bottle of sake that paired really well with our meal, which rounded out the meal. I highly recommend Ta Kumi, especially when you’re looking for an experience, and not just a nice sushi dinner.

Takumi in Marbella had been our go to for years. My photos don’t do it justice because we always eat before we remember to take a proper photo. The entire staff and the owner are amazing- so wonderful, helpful and cool. And the toro truffle quail egg special is insanely delicious- literally to die for. I took a photo but it seriously does not do it justice. Let your stomach decide for itself. Our go to list is the above mentioned special, the otoro nigiri with caviar, the butter fish nigiri with truffle cream and they have the BEST wakimi salad. And if you love Nobu’s spicy shrimp salad- Takumi does it even better. Honestly, if you love Japanese sushi done right, you cannot go wrong here. Cannot wait to visit them again when we’re in Marbella! 🤗❤️

Ta-Kumi is an excellent sushi restaurant with a strong focus on quality. The fish was incredibly fresh, the ingredients were top-notch, and every dish was prepared with great attention to detail. The presentation was beautiful, the service was professional and friendly, and the overall dining experience felt refined without being pretentious. You can really appreciate the care that goes into every plate. If you’re looking for high-quality Japanese cuisine in Marbella, Ta-Kumi is definitely worth visiting. It’s a place I would happily return to and recommend to anyone who appreciates fresh, well-crafted sushi.

We were recommended this sushi restaurant by multiple people and it absolutely lived up to its expectations. Jorge was a dedicated server who not only made our experience unforgettable but knew exactly what kind of sushi to recommend to us. It is absolutely worth the money, for three of us we spent €190 and we left completely stuffed and happy. There was even a complimentary chocolate we were given that might have been the best hazelnut truffle that I have ever eaten. Thank you to the team at Ya-Kumi for a fantastic evening.

I stumbled upon this gem after it was recommended to me while searching for a great Japanese spot in Marbella and it went beyond all my expectations! We were three people and all agreed: everything was perfect, from the incredibly kind service (they even found us a table without a reservation!) to the flawless quality of the food. We ordered a bit of everything, and every single dish was amazing but the anchovy nigiri was my absolute favorite, just wow! Huge thanks to the wonderful team Christophe, Cristian, Xorche, the sweetest hostess, and the lovely manager. You truly made our night!

What a place! This is one of the best restaurants in Marbella. And not taking into account just Japanese ones. The food is so delicious that you can’t stop ordering. Sushi, sashimi, wagyu. You name it. One better than the other. See the picture and try to imagine everything else was as good looking and tasty. Best quality food, best quality service. We were the group of six perfectly served by Alvaro himself. Being not only the owner but also the chef he is a perfect storyteller giving all the information on what is served and how it is prepared. He made also recommendations that we followed and felt like lottery winners each time another piece of food landed on our table. A sense of humor, passion and love to what he is doing need to be well appreciated. Good wine choice. We topped our meal with fantastic deserts not mentioning mind blowing Vega Sicilia Unico. One of the best culinary experiences ever!

I rarely write negative reviews, but this experience at Mosh Fun Kitchen in Marbella was extremely disappointing and deserves to be shared. We had a reservation for three people on 09/06. Before arriving, we called to explain that we were running late and asked whether it would be possible to arrive a little later or cancel. We were informed about the cancellation policy and were told they could wait around 10 minutes. We did everything we could to get there, and when we arrived, we were only around 10 minutes late. Despite having a reservation, our table was not ready and we were left waiting at the bar for around 15 minutes. During that time, the attitude from the staff was extremely unwelcoming, as if our presence was an inconvenience. This was especially disappointing because it was my birthday. I asked in advance for the dessert to arrive before midnight and requested a candle so I could celebrate properly. The request was repeated several times, but nobody seemed to take responsibility. The cheesecake eventually arrived together with the dinner, and when I asked again about the candle, the employee simply left the dessert on a counter where dirty dishes were being placed and walked away. Later, we were told they did not have a candle, and the solution was improvised with lights being pointed at us. It was uncomfortable and completely lacked the care expected from a restaurant that presents itself as a premium experience. There were also issues with the food. A friend ordered a purée that turned out to be extremely spicy, something she was not expecting. When we raised the concern, instead of trying to find a solution, the focus was immediately on the fact that it would still have to be paid. We understand that restaurants can be busy and that staff can have difficult moments. However, professionalism, communication and basic courtesy should never disappear. The service felt rushed, dismissive and inconsistent. To make matters worse, after ordering a bottle of wine, we were served the first glasses and nobody checked on us afterwards. When the bill arrived, a service charge had been added without any explanation or discussion. The bill was simply placed on the table and the payment machine was brought over. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. A place that positions itself as high-end should make every guest feel respected and valued. Unfortunately, we left feeling the complete opposite. I do not recommend this restaurant. People should not be impressed only by appearances the quality of the service and the way guests are treated matter just as much.

Came here for a bite to eat and stayed for a full-on “all you can eat” sushi buffet 🤣Everything was delicious and was well prepared I have to say. I endorse their smart ordering system by having to wait 7 to 8 minutes until you can order again. This avoids people reordering before they have actually finished their plate. Well done. I am sure we will be back.

I visited this sushi restaurant with my family, including my disabled daughter. There are five disabled parking spaces on the same level as the restaurant, and they are the only accessible spaces. Otherwise, you have to park below and climb a long flight of stairs to reach the restaurant. Unfortunately, I couldn’t park in any of the disabled spaces because all five were occupied. I had to park downstairs and, with great difficulty, help my daughter up to the restaurant. Once we arrived, I was surprised to see that none of the five cars parked in the disabled spaces displayed a disabled parking permit. I spoke to a member of staff and asked to speak with the manager. No one initially identified themselves as the manager, but eventually one employee responded. I explained the situation, and his reply was essentially: “I don’t care where my customers park. That’s not my problem. If you want, call the police.” His attitude was dismissive, arrogant, and unnecessarily confrontational. Although he became visibly irritated, I chose to remain calm, avoid further conflict, and continue with our dinner. I am also a restaurant owner, and I believe accessibility is part of good customer service. If a disabled customer were unable to access my restaurant because other customers had improperly occupied all the disabled parking spaces, I would take the issue seriously. Even if enforcement ultimately belongs to the authorities, showing concern and trying to help would be the right thing to do. This experience left me very disappointed—not because of the food, but because of the complete lack of empathy and responsibility shown toward a family with a disabled child.

Very good sushi and Japanese food for the value! Located in the old town Marbella. Make sure to make a reservation

Had a great experience eating at Ichiban, we opted for the Teppanyaki and marveled at the chefs skills before eating very tasty and clearly freshly cooked food, the pomp and ceremony of the cooking add to the experience of course. Nice atmosphere with friendly and knowledgeable staff. The restaurant has an extensive menu so there are alternatives to Teppanyaki and a good wine list too at reasonable prices. I would highly recommend and we will definitely be going again.

the food is very good the Atmospher is friendly. the only set back is the portion in the menue does not match those that are presented to customer. i have order noodels with beef i only got a very small portion of thin noodels unlike the one in the menue. i have asked the waiter only to receive no answer. make sure to ask before order. other than this and this is a major thing every thing was ok.

Bones in the sushi, be careful. They do not remove the bones from the eel. The first time I told them, they said that they are sorry and it was the first time ever. Later got another sushi with eel, again all in bones. Also the orange juice was very small, the Japanese green tea was extremely bitter and impossible to drink. For these prices, it is a horrible imbalance between quality and price. Overall, don’t recommend.

We sat at the teppanyaki table and chose the menu that included lobster and steak. Fantastic! The chef’s skills were unbelievable and the food was amazing. Incredibly well cooked, flavours to die for and the presentation and delivery were exactly as expected. A little pricey but the lobster knocked it out of the park and totally made it worth it, and there are cheaper options anyway. Thoroughly recommend and we will be back.

What an incredible evening at Nobu Marbella. From the moment we arrived, everything was flawless. The atmosphere was vibrant yet elegant, the food was exceptional, and every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor. What truly made the experience stand out, however, was our server, Aura. She was warm, attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about ensuring we had a memorable evening. Her recommendations were excellent, her timing was perfect, and she struck that rare balance of being highly professional while making us feel completely at ease. The combination of outstanding cuisine, a wonderful atmosphere, and Aura’s exceptional service made this one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in Marbella. A huge thank you to Aura and the entire team for such a special night. We can’t wait to return.

Amazing evening at Nobu, one of our best dining experiences ever! The staff were fantastically friendly & helpful with both food and drink suggestions, & wow, some of the best food we have had. Our table overlooked the Plaza which had a great live solo artist followed by a DJ, making the atmosphere very cool. Loved everything 100% and highly recommend for a very special evening

Thank you Annabel at the Central Reception for the very friendly and efficient organisation of our reservation for such I lunch. Danio our waiter was absolutely charming and took care of everything we needed. A suggestion for the rock prawn tempura would be to serve the sauce separately as it just made the batter completely soggy. Lovely location beside the boardwalk – it’s clearly 5*. Thank you.

Had an amazing experience at Nobu. The food was absolutely delicious and full of flavour. Anna Ikram and Steven were all great hosts, but especially Anna who was so attentive, friendly and made the experience extra special. She made the best cocktails, including an amazing Sex on the Beach that wasn’t even on the menu, and she made it perfectly every time. The food was tasty, beautifully presented and they even made my birthday feel special with a lovely birthday treat. The sea views were stunning, the location was beautiful and the atmosphere was perfect. I was so happy with my whole experience and would definitely highly recommend it.

The food, drinks, service and atmosphere were all exceptional. I’m not a big sushi fan myself, but my friends that ate sushi said it was incredible. I had the wagyu, chicken wings, spicy edamame. The chicken wings were out of this world. Everything was bursting with flavour.

AOTA SUSHI MARBELLA offers a selection of Japanese cuisine in a subdued setting. While the sushi presentation is visually appealing, the dining experience is often characterized by slow service and inconsistent staff attentiveness. Guests may experience significant delays between courses, particularly when utilizing the all-you-can-eat options.

The establishment features a simple interior and offers complimentary ice cream. However, restrictive ordering policies and long wait times for the bill can impact the overall flow of the meal. It is a functional spot for sushi, though the pace of service remains a primary concern.

Gabriela

This sushi restaurant in the center of Marbella has good food, but the service could be improved. We had a table for seven, and three of us arrived first. Unfortunately, even though we asked a couple of times, we were ignored and had to wait until everyone arrived before the drinks order was taken. The sushi itself looked and tasted good, which is definitely the reason to come here. However, don’t expect smooth service — make sure you have time to wait, and keep track of what you ordered, as the same plates can arrive separately. Plus there’s ice-cream available which you can take by yourself free of charge. Out of the whole team, only one server was attentive, so hopefully you’ll be lucky enough to get them.

I recently visited and found the experience to be underwhelming. The food was average, nothing special to write home about. The biggest disappointment, however, was the service. We opted for the all-you-can-eat option, but the service was incredibly slow. We had to wait an unreasonable amount of time for each round of food, which really detracted from the experience. When we finally decided to ask for the bill, it felt like the staff didn’t care about our request. It took a long time to get the bill, which was frustrating. Overall, while the food was decent, the slow service and lack of attentiveness from the staff made it a less than enjoyable visit.

The restaurant is situated in a quiet location with a few other eateries nearby, including a sushi place right next to a ramen spot in Marbella. The interior is simply designed with an attempt to evoke a Japanese aesthetic, but it lacks an authentic touch. Now, let’s talk about the service. It was extremely slow, with staff avoiding eye contact to bypass providing service. Despite being busy, the service quality was very poor. Additionally, there is a frustrating policy that allows only five orders per person at a time, and you must finish those before ordering more. This results in long waiting periods between orders, causing patrons to feel full and order less. Moreover, everyone is required to order a drink, or they add an extra euro to the bill. Although they claim to offer sashimi, the pieces are disappointingly small, less than 2cm each. In terms of food freshness and quality compared to back home in Canada, the sushi rates a 4/5, but the service drags the experience down to a 2/5. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant due to the excessive wait times, restrictive ordering policy, and poor service, which significantly detract from the dining experience.

This place was really good for the price with decent sushi and my favorite part was the self serve dessert haha. The only bad thing is each round of the all you can eat comes slower after every round which leaves you less hungry. I would still recommend this place as it was fun and interesting.

Frequently asked questions about sushi bars in Marbella

    What is a sushi bar?

A sushi bar is a type of establishment where traditional Japanese sushi is prepared and served, often with a counter where guests can watch the chefs work. These venues typically offer a variety of raw fish, vinegared rice, and vegetable combinations. In Marbella, these locations range from casual spots for a quick lunch to more formal dining experiences.

    How healthy is sushi?

Sushi is generally considered a healthy and nutritious meal because it is high in protein and often contains many vitamins and minerals from fresh fish and vegetables. Many varieties are low in calories and fats, making them a popular choice for health-conscious diners. However, the nutritional content can change depending on the amount of rice, sauces, and fried ingredients used in specific rolls.

What does sushi taste like and what are the different types?

Sushi typically features a balance of savory, salty, and slightly sweet flavors from the combination of fresh seafood and seasoned vinegar rice. There are many different types, such as Nigiri (fish over rice), Maki (rolled sushi), and Sashimi (sliced raw fish without rice). Exploring these different styles allows you to experience a wide range of textures and flavor profiles.
