Mr Nice

Absolutely terrible experience at the Lil Baby concert tonight. The waiters were aggressively demanding an additional 10% tip on top of the bill and putting customers under pressure to pay it. ( theres is a 10% included anyway but they added even another 10% on top ) When people refused, security was allegedly called over to intimidate them. This felt like a pure scam rather than hospitality. The waiter with the long beard was especially rude, arrogant, and unprofessional throughout the evening. Customer service was completely unacceptable. This thief needs to be stopped! Also, the rating of this venue seems highly questionable. People are being offered free alcohol in exchange for positive reviews, which makes the overall score very misleading. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Be careful when paying your bill and don’t be fooled by the rating. Very disappointing experience.

I had a great experience at this beach club. The location is beautiful, with relaxing atmosphere that makes it easy to spend the whole day there. The staff were welcoming, attentive, and always happy to help. The food and drinks were fresh, well-presented, and reasonably priced for the quality. The sunbeds were comfortable, the facilities were clean, and the music created the perfect vibe it’s an excellent place to relax, enjoy good food and drinks, and spend time by the beach. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a fun yet peaceful beach club experience, and I’ll be coming back on my next visit.

My experience at this hotel was absolutely terrible, mainly because of Adriana and the reception manager. I was traveling with my child, and the reception staff refused to let us check in because my daughter’s age in their system was slightly different from the age on her passport. She is a child, and this has never been an issue at any hotel I’ve stayed at before. Instead of handling the situation professionally, Adriana and the reception manager were rude, dismissive, and completely unwilling to help. They embarrassed me in front of other guests and forced me to pay an extra €200 per night. When I said I would rather cancel my stay and asked for my money back so I could book another hotel, they refused. I was even told, “If you don’t like it, leave the hotel.” That is one of the most disrespectful things I’ve ever heard from hotel staff. As if that wasn’t enough, the room was full of mosquitoes, and the cleanliness was far below the standard expected from this hotel. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. Adriana and the reception manager made what should have been a pleasant family trip incredibly stressful and humiliating. I would never stay here again and would strongly advise others to avoid this hotel.

Great hotel, very nice friendly staff, rooms were very spacious and very clean, pool temperature was nice, lunch ( all inclusive) on the patio was very good, pick off the menu, great choices. Nice to have a laugh carte and not have a buffet at lunch. Dinner was good, something for everyone, not the biggest selection but good enough. Staff around the pool were very friendly. Location was ok, 15-20min gentle walk into Puerto Banus. Cocktails poolside were very good, in plastic glasses of course for safety, and decent plastic glasses. Gym small but adequate.

We stayed at Iberostar Selection Marbella Coral Beach for a girls weekend and had a really lovely experience.||The location was ideal for us, as it is close to both Puente Romano and Puerto Banus. the room was quite big so it was really comfortable, and all the staff we met were soo friendly and helpful.||Breakfast was probably our favourite part of the stay. There was a lot to choose from, the fresh avocados were amazing, and we also really appreciated the late breakfast option after going out the night before hehe :)||Overall, we had a great stay and would happily come back :))

Having read so many positive reviews before booking our stay at Iberostar Selection Marbella Coral Beach, my expectations were incredibly high. I am thrilled to say that the hotel not only met them but managed to exceed them in every possible way! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the wonderfully kind and attentive staff. The cleanliness throughout the entire property is flawless and deserves a special mention. Another highlight for us was the food, as the quality and variety at both breakfast and dinner were absolutely outstanding. As a delightful bonus, we loved the resident turtles in the enclosure between the rooms, which was such a unique and charming touch! If there is one area where the hotel could improve, it is enforcing restaurant etiquette during dinner. The hotel has a dress code, yet we witnessed guests sitting down for dinner in wet swimwear and flip-flops. Additionally, some guests were loudly watching videos on their phones without headphones, disrupting the lovely ambiance, and the staff unfortunately did not intervene. I highly recommend that the team gently reminds guests to respect the rules and the comfort of others. However, despite this minor issue, it would be unfair to deduct any points because the overall quality, hospitality, and atmosphere are undeniable. This hotel hands down deserves a full 5-star rating and we will definitely be back!

We stayed for 7 nights as a family and, unfortunately, left disappointed. Due to a booking error, we had to amend our reservation on arrival and ended up paying over £5,100 for our stay. While I completely understand paying more for additional guests, I was surprised that this price was for a standard double room rather than a junior suite or a more spacious family room. At this price point, we expected a truly premium experience. Sadly, the service and facilities didn’t reflect the amount we paid. Check-in was stressful, and although our luggage was taken to our room after check-in, there was no assistance from the taxi to reception despite my husband having a broken foot. The pool area and sun loungers were often not as clean as expected, the filtered water stations tasted unpleasant enough that we bought bottled water from the supermarket opposite, and some of the daytime bar staff came across as unfriendly. In contrast, the younger members of staff were excellent, friendly and a real credit to the hotel. As a family, we were also surprised by the lack of activities for children during our stay. Overall, this isn’t a terrible hotel, but it simply didn’t deliver the level of service, comfort or attention to detail that we expected for a holiday costing over £5,100. There are many positives, particularly the younger staff, but unfortunately the overall experience did not justify the price we paid.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed. The first impression was outstanding, and the warm reception immediately set the tone for a memorable dining experience. As soon as we walked in, we were impressed by the spacious layout, elegant design, and beautiful atmosphere. This place always finds a way to surprise us, and every visit feels even better than the last. Then came the food. Every single dish we ordered was absolutely delicious—without a doubt some of the best food we’ve had. The quality, presentation, and flavors were exceptional. What truly sets this restaurant apart, however, is its people. While the food, hospitality, and overall service are all outstanding, the biggest strength of this place is the staff. A special thank you to Miguel, who was simply exceptional. He didn’t just take great care of our table—he personally made sure every guest in the restaurant was receiving excellent service. His professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine care created an unforgettable experience. We’ll definitely be back, and we highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience. 5 stars without hesitation!

Unfortunately, we ended up paying a very expensive price for the lesson at this place, just like so many others. 😡 I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. It was one of the worst experiences of my life! You can be sure they’ll rip you off. We ordered one calamari, but they charged us for two. 😡 Everything is ridiculously overpriced. An Aperol costs €25, and I won’t even mention the prices of everything else. 🤷🏼‍♀️ They’re only interested in taking your money, and they even mislead their customers. They tell you that you’re required to spend a minimum of €70 per person plus sunbed, but what they conveniently forget to mention is that the kitchen closes at 6:00 p.m. (this was on a Thursday). As a result, we were forced to order more drinks just so we wouldn’t lose the money we had already committed to spending, because we couldn’t order any more food. They were completely inflexible. When we found out the kitchen was closed, they weren’t even willing to prepare a simple fruit platter, which would have taken about five minutes. The service is low-quality and feels like a tourist trap. There is absolutely no empathy, and they try to project a luxury image in the middle of nowhere. It’s simply a place that burns through your money. Never again!!

Nice venue, decor and sun loungers. Lovely front of house staff. Shocking (and I mean shocking) waiter service. Utterly useless. Having spent my Saturday day there, the whole day I had to chase them for everything I had asked for. Chase to be served, chase for where my order was, chase again. Unbelievably slow, inefficient and lack lustre (aside from one blonde haired guy who seemed to be British?) otherwise most the male waiters were honestly shockingly useless. It put a real dampener on the day. Especially considering it was so quiet so there was no excuse. It was also extortionate for what it was, so be prepared. I’d perhaps not care as much if it wasn’t such poor service. Settings surrounding the venue are also a bit rough and run down. Apparently Sundays are meant to be more of a vibe but not sure I’d recommend this one considering the huge amount of competition.

I came here with high expectations, based on the “luxury beach club” image they try so hard to sell. What I found was a very expensive lesson in branding versus reality. Highlights of the experience: * Apparently, basic math is not part of the management strategy. The number of bathrooms is completely insufficient for the number of guests, so at some point people start migrating to nearby public toilets. Very exclusive. * The décor feels like a showroom for plastic plants and budget furniture pretending to be “Mediterranean chic.” * We were served by a Russian waiter who somehow managed to double charge the service fee. A bold interpretation of hospitality. * The wine list is impressively overpriced for the level of wine being offered. Paying luxury prices for average supermarket-quality bottles is certainly… ambitious. And then comes the masterpiece: €100 sangria. At that point, it stops being hospitality and becomes performance art. Perfect place for people who enjoy burning money while convincing themselves they’re experiencing luxury. If your standards are low enough, you may even call it “exclusive.”

Terrible customer service. We preordered our food for a group of 12 people and they were very slow in giving the food and very slow in giving the drinks and they still got everything wrong. It was not even busy and the staff spent most of it chatting to each other. Would not recommend or visit again. Atrocious and diabolical.

We visited Playa Padre for the BohoSunday event last week as a group of 9 to celebrate our friend’s birthday, and the experience was fantastic from beginning to end. A special thank you to Sarabel, Alex, and Miguel for their amazing communication, attention, and service throughout the day. But honestly, the entire staff stood out, everyone knew exactly how to make guests feel welcome and comfortable. The place itself is stunning, with a very unique vibe, beautiful atmosphere, great music, and an energy that makes you want to stay all day. We especially loved the evening atmosphere inside, the music was amazing, the sound system was excellent, and the decoration and overall design of the place are truly impressive. You can really feel the quality and attention to detail everywhere. Definitely one of the highlights of our time in Marbella. We’ll definitely be back 😊☀️

Unbelievable. The hotel itself is exceptional, from quality, vibe and attention to detail. But what I’m really leaving a review about is the team here at Gran Marbella Resort, they are all fantastic and always have a smile. The breakfast is exceptional and the restaurant for dinner blew us away. We’ve eaten at a few places in Marbella and the restaurant onsite for dinner is the best of the best. Both gyms were great and had everything you need for keeping on top of training during holiday. If you’re considering this for your stay, do it.

There are beautiful places, and then there are places with soul. Gran Marbella Resort & Beach Club is one of them. The setting is stunning, with every detail carefully considered and an atmosphere that is hard to describe and very easy to enjoy. Everything invites you to stay a little longer: the surroundings, the ambience, and that feeling of being on holiday, even if only for a few hours. But what truly makes the difference is the team behind it all. Warm, attentive and genuinely committed to making every experience special. It is refreshing to find places that understand that true luxury lies in the details and in how they make people feel. Congratulations to the entire team for creating such a special destination. Without a doubt, one of those places you always look forward to returning to.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at this resort in Marbella. From the moment we arrived, everything was simply perfect. The service was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and always going the extra mile without being intrusive. Every member of staff made us feel genuinely welcome. The facilities and overall product are top-notch. The pools are beautiful, well-maintained, and offer plenty of space to relax, whether you’re looking for a quiet spot or something more lively. The location is ideal, close to everything yet peaceful enough to fully unwind. Our room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, with great attention to detail. Housekeeping was impeccable throughout our stay. The food deserves a special mention—excellent quality across the board, with plenty of variety and consistently high standards. Every meal felt like a treat. Overall, it’s hard to find a single fault. This is exactly what you hope for in a luxury resort, and it truly delivers on every level. This hotel has great potential lovely building generally very polite nice staff and great swimming pools however at the moment it’s right next to a building site which starts at 7 am and is certainly not peaceful at least on one side of the Hotel. There is also a beach bar just below that has DJ nights Sundays and Wednesdays so pretty impossible to sleep until midnight. obviously this might not bother everyone .Also if you are gluten-free very few options to eat in the hotel and beach bar other than grilled seabass definitely would expect a lot more choice from a five star aspiring Hotel. Staff are very polite and try help however not quite the experience we expected.

Outstanding staff at this hotel in all departments.||Excellent breakfast selections and speed of service.||Easy access to the beach and for the Beach Club and Spa.||Very good selection of food options and as vegetarians that’s not always the case.||The hotel has a lovely laid back but luxurious feel and at times reminded us of the Maldives which is the highest complement we can give.||Lovely pool areas and our only slight negative was the volume of the music around the adult pool but we didn’t say anything at the time and this might vary depending on staff on the day. ||We are rebooking this hotel for October because it just gets so many things right compared to the others around. ||For context we have stayed at the Don Pepe, Don Carlos and El Fuerte in the last 2 years and this our favourite

We booked in for an afternoon party (1pm-11pm) for a stag do. There were 4 us in total so took a large bed space in the VIP area worth it. We were at the back of the resort over looking the entire pool area with a great view out to the beach and sea also. Included package with champagne and soft drinks to start with waiter service throughout. The staff were excellent, very quick and accommodating. There was a mix of familes and parties through the day, each in their own respective areas but you were able to use the entire area and walk freely anywhere. Excellent food, drinks and facilities, all spotless cleaned and maintained throughout. There were a couple loose flooring boards in the VIP area which had to be maintained duriing the day through heavy foot fall but nothing promlematic. Prices are steep but the area demands it really, its an expectation. A great day of entertainment and enjoyment.

Stylish, super clean, and very well organized. You don’t choose your bed – the staff assigns it, which actually keeps things flowing smoothly. Service was excellent all day, the crowd a relaxed and slightly older mix (35+), and the music stayed pleasantly in the background. One thing that surprised us a bit: there were quite a few families with small kids around – not exactly what you’d expect at a beach club vibe-wise, but still fine. Another note: on windy days, umbrellas stay closed unless guests explicitly take the risk – which makes sense, but it’s good to know in advance. Big plus: you can stay until 9 PM and really enjoy a full beach day.

Pool is big and the water is clean and has a perfect temperature. Service is very good and proffesional. The prices are quite expensive. Food is good but also expensive. If you are willing to spend around 250€ per person for a day (with tickets incl.) then it’s a great place to go.

Food and drinks were decent, it’s priced as you would expect in this part of Spain at a Beach Club. Service started out a bit slow, but picked up after the first drink and they found us a table as walk-ins. Wash rooms and the venue in general is very nice and well maintained with friendly staff. This place is very kid friendly, which may be a positive for some, but personally I don’t want to pay €250+ for a bed and have screaming children running around.

An amazing experience! We visited Trocadero Petit Playa and left completely satisfied. The grilled chicken with spicy piri piri sauce was juicy, perfectly seasoned, and served with fresh vegetables and delicious fries. We also had a bottle of chilled Cava, freshly squeezed orange juice, and an excellent espresso to finish. The setting of the restaurant is magical – right on the beach with soft sand, the soothing sound of the sea in the background, and a comfortable shaded area under a beach canopy. Even in the heat, the fans kept the atmosphere pleasant. The vibe is relaxed yet stylish, ideal for lunch or dinner with a sea view. The staff were truly professional – friendly, efficient, and composed. Everything arrived without any unnecessary delays, even though the restaurant was busy. We felt welcome and well taken care of from the very beginning. The food and service live up to the standard of the place, and the location makes it even more special. We’ll be happy to come back again and spent more time on the beach club sofas!

We called to make a reservation at 4 they told us come at 4:30, we ordered and it took them a while to get the food because the place is so busy. The waiters look so tired and they have a hard time smiling. We wanted to add something to the order then they said the kitchen closed. Why did you tell us to come at 4:30 if the kitchen will close?and I think they should have told us the kitchen will close in half an hour, do you need anything? The place needs better aireation the place is so jot

Nice location, but the food is not good compared to the prices! The waiter didn’t even make eye contact with us and was very rude. This is honestly one of the worst restaurants in Marbella. This was a pit stop on our beach walk. The place looks nice and the staff were friendly. No prices on the drinks so it was a shock when we paid 10 euros for smoothie, 5 euros for a sparkling water and 5 euros for a small soft drink. Also to find they added a service charge. Needless to say this time, which is rare, I e don’t leave a tip. There is a pool, which looked lovely but we didn’t use it. If you like a beach bar, with a pool and sunbeds, then this could be for you. As loo g as you don’t mind paying

Served by Leo, 13 of us dining, we had am amazing experience. We all ordered cocktails and various drinks as well as different things, from varied and interesting menu. The staff couldn’t have done enough for us. The food was fabulous, everyone enjoyed their food. There was no room for desert. Experience was excellent. Thank you to the Point!! We had such a good time x x

Such a shame … we come here every year and use the The Point sunbeds and lunch, at the beach. We thought we would look at the Point Restaurant and pool area, for a change. We were greeted by a very aggressive man, who we have found out, is called, Tarek. We were not welcomed and were almost shouted at for daring to walk in for a look – even though we had spoken to his female colleague, to explain what we were doing. This man is getting it all wrong …

Opium Beach Club in Marbella offers a lively atmosphere characterized by dynamic music and a stylish aesthetic. While the venue features a swimming pool and sunbeds, it is primarily geared toward a younger demographic seeking a high-energy social scene rather than a traditional family environment.

It’s a bit of a weird one to find and opens at 1pm. We was told to get there for 12. Which was a little annoying. But the actual beach club was cool. Obviously with expensive drinks and everything overpriced. Not allowed to bring any water or liquid in. Vibes were good. A nice decent pool too which we made good use of. I like the swing and decor. Probably good to do a price comparison as we found that companies were charging double and taking half of the commission.

The beach here is amazing, some stones but the same all along the coast line now. They have a restaurant, cafè on the beach ⛱️ sun and day beds. There is a swimming pool around the bar found in it was empty at lunch time but in the afternoon there were 20-40 year olds on the day beds, loud music 🎶 Not a place for families really but young people would love it here There are a few bars along that part of the strip with day beds and seating lots of youngsters

Extremely disappointing experience. We reserved two sunbeds in advance, expecting good service, but the staff was far from welcoming. When we tried to order drinks, we were bluntly told it was self-service. The overall behavior and attitude of the staff do not match the standards or reputation of this beach club. Definitely wouldn’t recommend

We had such a lovely day here. The atmosphere was relaxed but still felt really stylish, the beach was beautiful, and the staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The food was fresh, the cocktails were great, and everything was well looked after. It was the perfect place to spend the afternoon. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in the area.

My friends and I had the best experience in the KOVA restaurant. We did the 3 course with bottomless drinks and it was amazing value for money, food and drinks were fab!! We would like to thank Adrian who went above and beyond to make our experience as good as it was!!

We came because there was supposed to be an event advertised on their schedule. We paid for a sunbed and arrived only to find out that the event was simply not happening. They were just playing house music, and the place was full of children. On top of that, everyone could choose whichever sunbed they wanted, even though their page suggests otherwise. Honestly, I thought I was going to a real beach club atmosphere, but it felt more like a public beach. People from the beach can just walk in freely, and the service was poor throughout the day. Drinks and some items are cheaper compared to other beach clubs nearby, which is a positive, but when people go to a beach club, it’s usually to enjoy the vibe, music, and party atmosphere — not to be surrounded by kids everywhere. There are definitely better beach clubs in the area.

Please note: THIS IS A BRAND NEW PLACE! Anything before May 2025 does not refer to this Kova Beach! Kova Beach Marbella is our absolute favourite spot in the port! By day, it’s the perfect place to relax or party – with the beach right in front, small swimming pools to enjoy, and a fantastic vibe with great music. It’s ideal for soaking up the sun and spending quality time in a stylish yet relaxed setting. In the evenings, Kova hosts wonderful events with a lively but elegant atmosphere, always finishing around midnight – the perfect balance for a fun night without it ever feeling too much. With our place nearby in the port, it’s the number one spot we keep coming back to. Whether for a sunny day at the beach or an evening event, Kova Beach always delivers a great experience. Highly recommended!

Unable to enjoy the €100 per person brunch deal as in the end it requires to be a group of four as you can’t enjoy the deal for two persons only. This was not advertised on their screens above the entrance and is not clear on the website as well as you can book it for any amount of people. I understand the large square bed is for 4 persons, you could offer two single beds instead and/or a table for two. However this was not a possibility. Missed opportunity!

One of the worst dining experiences we’ve had in Marbella. Nobody greeted us when we arrived, so after standing around awkwardly we just seated ourselves. It then took almost 10 minutes before anyone bothered to bring us menus. The paella mixta was okay, but service was shockingly bad. With five waiters on duty and a half-empty restaurant, you’d expect at least basic attention — instead, they stood around doing nothing while guests were left waiting. To make matters worse, some frustrated guests actually left without paying because they couldn’t get service. This left what seemed to be the owner furious — and unbelievably, he then started speaking negatively about guests to other diners. That level of disrespect and unprofessionalism is absolutely unacceptable and should never happen in any restaurant. If you’re passing by on your way to or from Puerto Banús, do yourself a favor and keep walking. This place is a waste of time, and we will definitely not be coming back.

Absolutely terrible ! Staff are doing their best but management are lost. Food came out at wrong times, we had to ask for things at least three times. Can’t understand if it was a joke, it was that bad, thought Jeremy Beadle was going to pop out on us. Absolute waste of money. Only good thing there was Mickey who runs the barbecue

Frequently asked questions about family beach clubs in Marbella

    What is a beach club?

A beach club is a private venue that provides access to a beach area along with amenities like sun loungers, umbrellas, and dining services. These clubs often offer a more structured and comfortable environment than public beaches, typically providing a dedicated space for relaxation and socializing. They vary in style, from casual family-oriented spots to more upscale environments.

How much does a beach club cost?

The cost of a beach club depends on the level of service, the duration of your stay, and whether you are booking a private cabana or a standard sunbed. Prices can fluctuate based on the season, with peak summer months typically seeing higher rates than the shoulder seasons. Many clubs also offer different tiers of packages that include food, drinks, or towel services.

How do I choose which club to choose for my family?

Choosing the right club depends on your family's specific needs, such as the availability of children's play areas, safety features, and proximity to dining options. You should consider factors like the depth of the water, the quality of the facilities, and whether the club offers specific family-friendly amenities. Reading reviews and checking the distance from your accommodation are also helpful steps in making a decision.
