We had a fabulous 3 night stay at the Hard Rock Hotel Marbella. The staff on reception were always really helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Ignore the people complaining about having to pay a deposit when you arrive, this is only if you want to charge items to your room. If you are happy to pay for drinks etc as you have them, you do not need to pay anything extra. Our room was spotlessly clean and the complimentary cans of water were a welcome touch. The rooms are well soundproofed and we could not hear any of the outside noise. The two pool areas are fantastic, we spent each day around the main pool area (as the music is louder there and it has a more lively vibe). The staff around the pool were brilliant and nothing was too much trouble. The rooftop pool is also lovely, it has a more chilled and laid back atmosphere. The buffet breakfast was excellent, there was so much choice and everything was fresh. We will definitely recommend this hotel and can’t wait for our next visit

We had a nice stay, but the highlight of our experience was definitely Bouchta, the chef at the dinner buffet. He was always smiling, genuinely kind and incredibly positive. You could see how much he cared about every guest, always doing his best to accommodate requests and going the extra mile to make everyone happy. His passion and warm attitude truly represent what hospitality is all about. Thank you, Bouchta!

I had an incredible experience at the Hard Rock Hotel event on the 14th of June with Loco Bongo. I went with my girls and we booked the VIP big roof sunbed next to the pool and from start to finish everything was amazing. We were warmly welcomed at the entrance by the manager and personally escorted to our area, which immediately set the tone for a luxury experience. The setup was beautiful, with bottle service presented in a stunning floating display that made everything feel extra special. The food and drinks were great nachos, burgers, fries, cocktails, beers, and mojitos, gin and tonic all constantly refreshed and served quickly by attentive staff. The entertainment was next level, with performers coming right to our sunbed, interacting with us, and even doing a mini performance just for us, which made the night feel so personal and unforgettable. Overall, the service was outstanding and the whole experience was luxury, fun, and pure vibes. Definitely one of the best nights I’ve had – I’ll 100% be back. 🫶🏾

I loved everything about this hotel. The staff were excellent, the balcony views were beautiful, and there was visible security throughout the property. However, I did notice sex workers in the lobby. They seemed to enter through the beach access with guests and would wait near the elevators. While this may not be entirely under the hotel’s control, it was something I noticed during my stay. The location is not that close to puerto banus as it seemed via the map, it as 15-20mins walking I also wasn’t a fan of the wristband system. I stayed for four nights, so I had to shower and tan with the wristband on the entire time. As a Muslim, it also made performing wudu (ablution) less convenient. Another issue was that the wristband didn’t always work on the first try. From both a security and convenience standpoint, I don’t think it’s the best solution. If someone were following you, needing to stop and repeatedly scan the wristband before the door unlocked could be frustrating and potentially unsafe. Traditional key cards would be a more reliable and efficient option.

I want to especially outline the restaurant service and stuff. They are absolutely amazing people! Always polite, respectful, friendly and helpful. They food is just amazing as well, Chef Bouchta is making stunning food, especially grilled sea bass and meant, he’s always helping with everything there and is being highly professional. I’m absolutely grateful for the experience at the restaurant every time I come for dinner or breakfast. Those amazing professionals just took my heart and soul!!! Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!

What an amazing hotel! On arrival we were greeted by super friendly staff and were checked in by Tyler who was absolutely superb. He explained all of the amenities in the hotel and offered to book reservations for us for anything we wanted to do. The hotel itself is luxurious and classy, food and drinks all excellent. The pool is stunning and we thoroughly enjoyed the DJ’s playing around the pool in the afternoons. No sunbed wars, just very chilled and relaxed atmosphere. Rooms are beautiful with high quality bedding and toiletries, we had a fabulous view over both pools. Literally cannot fault any aspect of the hotel. The staff are all fun and friendly and cannot do enough for you, our room was cleaned every day by very smiley cleaners! We even had a bottle of bubbly waiting for us in our room as we were celebrating our anniversary. We were made to feel special for the whole visit and can’t recommend this amazing hotel enough. Special thanks to Tyler for the welcome he gave us and the top notch service. We will definitely be back. 11/10

A wonderful holiday at this gorgeous hotel. We had a large beautiful suite (V31) in a traditional Spanish style with all the mod cons which was on the top floor of this block in a quiet location but within easy reach of both the vibrant Plaza with its wide range of excellent restaurants that came alive at night and the relaxing beach area with its beach club facilities pool and range of restaurants|We particularly liked the restaurant offering at the beach. Having a small version of the main Nobu restaurant there in a lovely outdoor setting shaded from the sun by a pergola of bio diverse plants with an integrated mist system to keep us cool when required made for a very special experience. |I have had the opportunity to stay at some of the best hotel chains in the world including the One and Only, Mandarin Oriental, Four Seasons, Oberoi Eden Rock etc and this hotel without a doubt had the best breakfast offering I have ever experienced. It was unbelievable and included and if you have kids it included a chocolate fountain!|The staff at the hotel went out of their way to make the holiday enjoyable and that included everyone from the restaurant and spa staff to the reception and concierge staff. We even liked the thoughtful touch of a little something left for my wife on her birthday even though we had not told them about it. |Very much look forward to coming back soon.

Let me start this with saying this is my first time leaving a bad review, as usually, I am very understandable. Very disappointing experience. At $1700 per night per room, the quality felt more like a $100-a-night hotel. The room was in poor condition, the bathrooms had mold, water in the shower would not drain and the overall property felt old and extremely poorly maintained. The swimming pool was dirty, and the beach setup was another huge disappointment, not something I would expect at a five star resort. After seeing the condition of the hotel, we decided to cut our vacation short and leave early. This hotel is nowhere near worth the price.

Beautiful resort with fantastic service but very disappointed that the front pool by the beach now has a minimum spend of €200 per bed, per day for residents!! Only free access to the two remaining pools and not enough beds for the whole resort and the Airbnb’s!!||||Never stayed in such a premium hotel where you have a minimum spend to use their main pool and hardly any beds if you do want to pay!||||Fully understand if people want to come that aren’t staying they must pay, unfortunately not catering for families any more and after many happy years we won’t be coming again!

Puente Romano is one of my favourite hotels I’ve ever stayed in, and one I still think about long after leaving.||The breakfasts are incredible—especially at La Petite Maison, where you can enjoy amazing food with beautiful sea views. The whole hotel is surrounded by lush greenery, so it feels more like staying in tropical gardens than in the middle of Marbella.||I also love that some of Marbella’s best restaurants are right here in the hotel, so every evening can be a completely different experience. Whether you feel like relaxing at the spa, working out in the gym, or playing tennis or padel, there’s always something to do.||What really makes it all come together is the fantastic service. Everyone is so welcoming and attentive, making every stay feel effortless and special.||I can’t recommend Puente Romano enough—it’s a place I’ll happily return to again and again.

Puente Romano is the place to be in Marbella when you are looking to be in the heart of the buzz. With it’s spacious garden and large rooms, this resort makes you feel intimate as though you live in an traditional luxurious Andalusian village. The bedrooms are renovated and have very comfortable facilities. The pools are themed (Coya, Nobu pool and more) There is wonderful staff that is always handy to help. The resort has the coolest gym and spa from six senses. The tennis club and kids club is their unique value too! Overall a memorable stay to have a staycation or discover Marbella.

We stayed at this hotel with our family for 12 days in July and had a wonderful experience. The service was outstanding from check-in to check-out. The staff at reception, the restaurants, and throughout the hotel were always friendly, professional, and ready to help. Any request was handled quickly, and when we had an issue with our room, it was changed immediately without any hassle. The rooms were clean, the beds were extremely comfortable, and our room on the 8th floor with a side sea view had a beautiful view—perfect for relaxing on the balcony in the evenings. Breakfast was excellent, with a huge variety of fresh and delicious food. The beach area with comfortable sunbeds was another highlight, and the hotel also offers convenient parking. The only thing future guests should know is that the bathroom and toilet have glass walls and doors, which may be less convenient when traveling with family. The location is also excellent—only a 5–10 minute walk to the Old Town, restaurants, and major attractions. We truly enjoyed our stay and would be happy to return. Thank you to the entire team for a fantastic holiday!

We had a wonderful stay at Amàre Marbella. Our room featured a large private balcony with beautiful views of the Mediterranean, the beach and Marbella. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves while being just a short walk from the old town was a real highlight. The adults-only concept creates a calm and relaxing atmosphere throughout the hotel. The beachfront location is excellent, the pool and private beach area are well maintained, and complimentary beach towels are provided. We booked The One Amàre package and found it well worth the extra cost. Lounge access with drinks, snacks and light refreshments throughout the day added real value. Breakfast was excellent, and we also enjoyed the rooftop bar with its great views and cocktails. The daily hydrotherapy session was one of the highlights of our stay. The spa facilities were relaxing and well maintained, and the massage jets were particularly enjoyable. Wi-Fi worked reliably throughout the hotel, even on the beach. With its excellent location, attentive service and relaxed atmosphere, Amàre Marbella is a hotel we would happily return to.

First visit to Marbella. We stayed two weeks at the Amare and had an amazing time. The hotel’s location is ideal for the old town and beach front restaurants. The atmosphere is relaxed by the pool with daily entertainment eg dancers, singers and live music. If you want a livelier vibe the beach club has a DJ every day. We loved it and managed to have both fun and relaxation. We were in a Keep the Secret room and couldn’t be happier with the view of both pool and sea. Thank you Amare for giving us a spacious balcony to enjoy on our two week vacation. The rooms and hotel are kept spotless and the team work so hard to ensure the hotel is maintained and cleaned regularly. In fact, the whole team make the hotel a special place to be. We would not hesitate in visiting again and we do not often say this about the many hotels we have visited over the years.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Marriott’s Marbella Beach Resort in Elviria, just about 20 minutes from the heart of Marbella. This resort truly delivers a luxury experience from start to finish. The guest service is exceptional—warm, attentive, and always ready to help, which made us feel welcome throughout our entire stay. The amenities are outstanding. We especially loved the two heated indoor pools, perfect for relaxing regardless of the weather, as well as the multiple outdoor pools surrounded by beautiful landscaping. The two large jacuzzis were a highlight, and the spa area—with its sauna and Turkish bath—added an extra level of relaxation. Another detail we really appreciated was the well-stocked minimarket on site, which made everything so convenient. We stayed in a spacious and comfortable two-bedroom villa with two bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen. It was perfect for our group—plenty of room, very clean, and thoughtfully designed for both comfort and functionality. Overall, this resort exceeded our expectations. Whether you’re looking for relaxation, comfort, or a high-quality vacation experience, this is a fantastic choice on the Costa del Sol. We would absolutely come back!

We had a wonderful stay at Marriott’s Marbella Beach Resort. The customer service was outstanding, especially at the reception and concierge, where the staff was always friendly, welcoming, and eager to help.||The accommodations were excellent. The rooms are exceptionally spacious, beautifully decorated, spotless, and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The beach is absolutely breathtaking, and the quality of the beach beds and umbrellas makes it an ideal place to relax and enjoy the Mediterranean.||There are, however, a few areas that could make this resort even better. Breakfast currently begins at 8:30 a.m., which is too late for guests leaving early for tours or day trips. A 7:00 or 7:30 a.m. start would be much more convenient. Additionally, the breakfast selection should showcase more authentic Spanish cuisine rather than focusing primarily on a standard continental breakfast. One of the greatest pleasures of vacationing in Spain is enjoying its incredible food.||The restaurant menu could also be improved by offering more traditional Spanish dishes instead of emphasizing pizza, hamburgers, and chicken wings. The limited menu often encourages guests to dine elsewhere in the evenings. Adding room service would also be a valuable enhancement.||Finally, the resort would benefit from beach bar service, more entertainment throughout the day and evening, and a livelier atmosphere with music and activities that appeal to younger guests. At times, the resort feels geared primarily toward older visitors.||Overall, despite these suggestions, we had an excellent stay. The outstanding service, beautiful accommodations, and spectacular beachfront location make this a resort we would gladly recommend and visit again.

I left this resort feeling genuinely disappointed. While the property itself is beautiful and well maintained, the overall guest experience fell far below what I expect, especially as a Marriott Platinum member. The biggest issue was the service. With the exception of one staff member, the restaurant employees rarely smiled, appeared disengaged, and did not deliver the level of hospitality you would expect from a Marriott resort. Rather than feeling welcomed, we often felt like an inconvenience. Another surprising policy was being required to pay for restaurant orders in advance, even after providing our room number. This is not the experience I have come to expect at Marriott properties and made us feel as though there was little trust in guests. The most frustrating part of our stay happened on checkout day. Breakfast finishes at 11:00 a.m., and when we returned to our room at around 11:30 a.m to pick up my luggage., our key cards had already been deactivated. My family was locked out of the room with all of our belongings inside. I had already requested a late checkout, yet instead of resolving the issue quickly, I had to return to reception and wait while the staff took a long time to restore our access. What made the situation even more disappointing was the attitude of the reception manager. Rather than showing empathy or taking ownership, I was left with the impression that restoring access to our own room was somehow being done as a favor. There was no apology, no sense of urgency, and no recognition that we were standing outside our room with our family locked out. Loyalty should mean something. As a Marriott Platinum member, I expect to be treated as a valued guest, not as someone asking for special favors. At no point during this stay did we feel appreciated or made to feel at home. The facilities are excellent, but a beautiful resort alone is not enough. Hospitality is about people, and unfortunately that was the weakest part of this experience. We left frustrated and disappointed, and this has been one of the least welcoming Marriott stays we have experienced.

Our first time at a Marriott Vacation Club and we would definitely do it again and wish we had found this accommodation type sooner. ||The staff were all so helpful and friendly, from the welcome by the security guard all the way through every area of the hotel. ||We loved having the space of a 2 bedroom apartment with balcony, lounge, dining area and kitchen. We didn’t cook but liked the fridge and home comforts. ||I guess we had a newly renovated unit as the soft furnishings were all spotless. I’ve added some photos as couldn’t find any renovated rooms online. The wardrobes and bathrooms all still need work but that didn’t detract from our stay. ||Positives (there’s loads) |-Space|-Black out blinds that work |-Utility room with washer, dryer, ironing board etc |-Daily housekeeping, like a hotel |-Buffet breakfast onsite with a 20% discount for guests, we did this daily (fresh made omelettes, lots of choice and good coffee/pastries)|-Outdoor pool was a great space, too cold in April but an indoor pool as an easy back up |-Direct access to the beach with the best sunsets |-Activities / entertainment available daily, we did a few things like badminton, shuffleboard, giant chess, bingo all were great |-The whole place is pristine, constant cleaning throughout the week |-The gardens are lovely, so well looked after and beautiful planting|-Restaurants are good. El Med one night and Charlie’s another. Otherwise we went to local places a 5min drive or 20min walk. ||Negatives (very few) |Onsite market is expensive but ok for back up (2 supermarkets close by) |Time share selling. We were called daily on my mobile and unit phone which we ignored so they started leaving written messages. We just ignored and they stopped.

We rented a 3 bedroom apartment for a 4 night stay in June of 2026 at Marriott’s Marbella Beach Resort. While we enjoyed our stay, I would not return to or recommend this property. Although this may be a higher quality resort in southern Spain, for the price it falls far short of expectations in so many little ways when compared again other beach destinations. If staying here, I would highly suggest renting/parking a car because your food options, while of good quality, are limited and quite overpriced. ||The apartment was large with a very comfortable living space but is clearly showing its age and comes very poorly equipped. The beds are very firm and the pillows were quite uncomfortable, resulting in sub-par sleep. We were also disappointed with the in-room coffee which tasted terrible. We visiting the hotel market instead to only be able to get coffee or espresso from a machine. Beach towels must be brought down from the room and are not regularly cleaned/washed.||The property grounds include numerous activities and are very well maintained. In addition to the main pool, they have a football/basketball cage, ping-pong tables, indoor swimming, and other amenities which are very nice! Unfortunately, our family was place in a room overlooking the adults-only quiet pool on the far side of the property so it was a good walk to do anything. Access to the units comes via the exterior of the property along the road. Also, at night they close off half the property so you need to walk an extra 10 minutes just to access the beach (only one access point after-hours). While not a huge deal, I would much rather be spending the time ON the beach rather than navigating around the hotel’s pool barriers. ||The beach outside the property is nice but quite rocky once in the ocean. The waves are small and you must pay to rent beach chairs. ||After traveling throughout Spain for 2 weeks prior we expected a lot more from these accommodations given the high cost.

This resort truly has it all. It’s beautiful, conveniently located right off the highway, and the suites are spacious, comfortable, and fully equipped with everything you could need. But what truly sets it apart is the team that runs it—the staff are simply exceptional. We’ve stayed at many resorts over the years, but we’ve never experienced hospitality like this. When we left for the airport, I realized I’d forgotten my very expensive ring. It was too late to turn back, and I was devastated. But what happened next was incredible. Several members of the staff immediately began searching for it and stayed in touch with me by email throughout the process. When it wasn’t found right away, they didn’t give up—they kept looking every day. By the fourth day, I had accepted that it was gone for good. Then, on the fifth day, I received an email: they had found it! Their honesty, persistence, and genuine care amazed me. One of the staff (Martina Spinetti), ensured that the ring was packaged and shipped right away, keeping me informed of the tracking no. Marriott continues to prove itself as an organization built on integrity and class. From start to finish, their service was exceptional—both during our stay and even after we had left. Special mention should go to Samsahara Bigorre and Martina Spinetti for their dedication to help over the course of a few days If I could give them more than five stars, I absolutely would. We spent a week at the hotel in May this year. The location is super, close to Orange Square and Marbella shops. The pool is heated and staff at the pool were great.|Our room had a sea front view and was satisfactory.|Breakfast was good and staff helpful and courteous. |The only disappointment is the main restaurant menu. It was disappointing not just for myself as a vegetarian but also for my husband who is not. The pasta dish was more than al dente it was chewy, it came with what can only be described as a balloon of buretto cheese which when cut into became a milky mess over the pasta. I opted a few nights for the veggie burger which was good. There was simply lack of choice. There was an excellent waitress name Roxanna, very professional, we always hoped for her to serve our table. The other staff in the restaurant were okay but a bit hit and miss at times.|We dined at the beach restaurant which I found underwhelming and very busy.|Otherwise, this is a very good hotel and I will definitely be returning soon.

Absolutely wonderful property. We enjoyed a relaxing week in a seafront room. The “selected” option worked very well for us and offers a quiet area for breakfast with excellent service. Other perks with this option include a lounge (little sandwiches and desserts, snacks, and even drinks and fresh juices), and entry to the very relaxing therapy pool with jets and cascading spouts. Our room had a unique design, with a shower and toilet cubicle to one side of the entry, and double sinks and a soaking tub on the other side. Beyond was a small bedroom and beautiful balcony. There are many room categories available, including suites with lounge areas, or those with a jetted tub on the balcony. Keep in mind the resort has a rather small footprint, and is family friendly, so there could be some noise from the pool below in seafront room category. The tradeoff is delightful views. We loved the location of the hotel, with direct access to a promenade lined with restaurants. It’s also a few minutes walk to the charming old town. We would not hesitate to recommend this world class hotel. Heartfelt thanks to the outstanding staff, particularly our breakfast hosts and servers. We hope to see your smiling faces again!

This was our first time staying at Hotel El Fuerte, a sister hotel to the Amàre, just a short walk away. We chose to change location to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and we truly believe we made the perfect decision. We stayed for five nights with breakfast included and the experience exceeded our expectations in every way. Breakfast was outstanding the quality, variety and presentation of the food easily deserve a 10 out of 10. The indoor and outdoor seating areas are beautiful, relaxed and immaculately maintained, making each morning a pleasure. What truly sets Hotel El Fuerte apart is the staff. From morning through to night, the personal attention we received was professional, genuine and incredibly warm. Every interaction felt sincere and welcoming and it made a real difference to our stay. The hotel grounds offer plenty of choice for relaxation, whether you prefer sun or shade, by the pool or near the beach. The atmosphere throughout is calm, elegant and thoughtfully designed. We also appreciated the personal touches in the evening, such as chocolates or sweets left in the room, small details that made the experience feel extra special. We would like to sincerely thank all of the staff for helping to make our 25th wedding anniversary such a memorable and meaningful holiday. We will most certainly return in the future and would consider the half‑board option next time. Paul & Angela Holohan Room 404 Dublin Ireland

From the moment I arrived until the moment I left, every aspect of my stay exceeded my expectations. This property is the definition of true luxury, beautifully designed, full of taste, and offering exceptional value for the price. The rooms are absolutely amazing, and the housekeeping team deserves special recognition. Their attention to detail was outstanding, with so many thoughtful touches throughout the room that made my stay feel even more special and personal. What impressed me most was the level of hospitality throughout the entire hotel. Everyone, from the top management to every member of the staff, went above and beyond to ensure my stay was memorable. I truly felt like a valued VIP guest. I would especially like to recognize Narges from Guest Relations. She is a true star employee. From welcoming me on arrival to saying goodbye at departure, she was always warm, attentive, professional, and incredibly helpful. She genuinely cared about making my stay exceptional, and her kindness and dedication made an already wonderful experience even more special. Thank you to the entire team for an unforgettable stay. I look forward to returning.

We had dinner at Sushi99 today and had a fantastic experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel truly welcome with their warm and friendly service. Salvador Jiménez gave us excellent wine recommendations that paired perfectly with our meal, and Reduan took great care of us throughout the evening. He also recommended the Rocher99 dessert, which was absolutely delicious. Thank you both for your outstanding hospitality. I’ll back

We stayed for one night at the end of our holiday to celebrate our 6-year anniversary, and it was the perfect way to finish our trip. From the moment we arrived, Laura made us feel so welcome. She gave us a tour of the hotel, recommended some fantastic places for dinner, and was incredibly attentive throughout our stay. She responded so quickly via WhatsApp whenever we had any requests, from bringing extra robes to helping with our dinner reservation and even getting the Chromecast working on the TV. Her service really made our stay feel special. The room was absolutely immaculate, with one of the comfiest beds we’ve ever slept in. The bathroom was beautiful and felt really luxurious. The spa is incredible (we’ve visited before), and this time we also booked deep tissue massages, which were excellent and so relaxing. Breakfast the next morning was another highlight, with a fantastic buffet offering plenty of choice and everything we tried was delicious. Honestly, we couldn’t fault a single thing about our stay. It was the perfect anniversary treat, and we’ve already decided we’ll be making this an annual trip. We can’t wait to come back!

July 2026|We have holidayed at the Villa Padierna multiple times during the last 15 years or so, but none of those stays matched the wonderful experience we had this July when we stayed 11 days. I always say 2 things make a hotel great, the hotel itself and all that it offers, and the staff who look after the guests. From our check-in with Christina to our departure made very easy by the Concierge Team, our experience was one of the best we have ever had. The service given by everyone we met was from the heart, highly attentive, friendly and very professional. As soon as we checked in we were warmly greeted by Narges who became not only our ambassador for the hotel, but also our most thoughtful and considerate member of staff who was always there to ensure our stay was perfect, thinking of ways to enhance our experience and enjoyment. We will keep Narges in our hearts and our holiday would not have been the same without her. Also, Toni, a longstanding member of reception and now Client Relationships was so kind and delighted to help us in any way he could. The staff at the Pergola, Eddy’s Bar and the restaurants were so attentive and warm, and nothing was too much trouble. Diego, Adrian, Rubio and Andrew were always there for us and showed great promise for the future of the Padierna and their own careers. One evening that demonstrated how good a team the Padierna are lucky to have was on the evening of the World Cup final between Spain and Argentina. Everyone worked hard as a team, seamlessly serving the large crowd that was gathered in the bar and on the terrace. They were a credit to the Hotel. Throughout our stay the food and beverage offering was excellent, including the fantastic breakfast, all of the restaurants and the Beach Club. Event wise, the Puppy Yoga was much enjoyed and was a great success, as was the Coldplay interpretation concert. I could go on and on but I would like to finish by thanking everyone who looked after us and I congratulate the management team on creating a wonderful experience. We will see you soon I hope.

Marbella Club Hotel offers a sophisticated atmosphere and elegant interior design for those seeking a coastal retreat. The property features an extensive selection of swimming pools, providing dedicated spaces for both adults and children to enjoy the sunny surroundings.

While the culinary offerings are highly regarded, guests should note that popular dining areas may reach capacity quickly. The hotel strives to provide a comprehensive experience, though some may find the service style quite attentive during their stay.

It was a wonderful stay at the Marbella club hotel. The service was exceptionally welcoming, and we loved the beautiful interior design and atmosphere. We especially appreciated the large number of swimming pools, with separate areas for both adults and children. Every guest can find something comfortable and enjoyable here. The restaurants on the property were excellent, both for lunch and dinner, and the breakfasts were outstanding. We will definitely return to this hotel on our next visit.

I’ve been coming to Marbella Club for years, and I’ve always loved the unique atmosphere that made it feel like a true home away from home. Unfortunately, during this stay, that feeling was missing. While the hotel remains beautiful, I found the staff to be overly intrusive. We were repeatedly interrupted for minor issues and unnecessary check-ins, which made it difficult to relax and enjoy our privacy. Instead of feeling looked after, we felt constantly disturbed. What made Marbella Club so special in the past was its effortless, discreet service—you felt genuinely at home. Sadly, that magic seems to have faded. It’s still a wonderful property, but it no longer feels like the Marbella Club I remember. I sincerely hope the management brings back the understated hospitality and sense of comfort that made this hotel truly exceptional.

Beautiful hotel. Only complaint is that hotel guests do not have priority. If you book, El Patio’s outside dining may not be available. If you are going for the full experience, I would call ahead before booking as their amenities cannot accommodate all hotel guests.

I’m sure that, in its heyday, Marbella Club was a truly beautiful and distinguished property. Sadly, our experience felt more like style over substance.||For anyone looking for an elegant, tranquil and genuinely discerning hotel, this may not be the right choice. Breakfast was consistently hectic and chaotic, with the terrace struggling to accommodate guests when the hotel was at full occupancy. We appreciate that the outdoor setting and surrounding nature mean birds can occasionally make a mess. However, being shown to a table covered in bird faeces, despite paying approximately £3,000 per night, was unacceptable. Even after we highlighted it to staff, no meaningful effort was made to clean the table properly or replace the linen.||The food across the property was generally good, and the pool staff were undeniably attentive. However, as the stay progressed, we found ourselves continually lowering our expectations.||There was very little sense of personalised service. Rather than feeling valued as individual guests, the experience felt transactional, as though the focus was simply to move guests through as efficiently and profitably as possible.||The rooms are also in need of refurbishment. On arrival, we were allocated a room below the category we had booked and paid for. Reception initially tried to explain that room categories were based on size rather than the photographs displayed online. After I produced our reservation correspondence and demonstrated that the room was incorrect, the hotel eventually acknowledged the mistake. We then waited approximately three hours while the correct room was prepared.||Marbella Club may appeal to those looking for an Instagramable backdrop where they can showcase their latest luxury purchases, pay a premium and move on. However, beneath the image, we found the hotel lacking the understated elegance, refinement and genuine hospitality its reputation suggests.||The sense of old-world class now feels more like a memory of a bygone era than the reality of the current guest experience.

The hotel itself is beautiful, amazing gardens, nice interiors.| Good breakfast, tasty restaurants.| Most of the staff is really nice and helpful, but some of them don’t care at all. The concierge service is lousy, we had to remind the same question for 3 times, but still getting just a half of an answer, except for Cala: he was always fast, attentive and doing more than expected. | The staff at the adult pool was also always walking the extra mile, making it the perfect place to spend time and relax.| Even though it says Golf resort, the location is not the best for golfing, for its course is located 40 minutes away from the hotel by their free shuttle, which goes every 1,5-2 hours. The last shuttle goes to the hotel at 15:15, when the course closes at 18:00. It takes around 25 mins if you come with a car or take a cab. The driving range lacks any covering, it is completely exposed to the sun, with the exception of a small shed reserved for the pros. It was also hard to book a tee time, perhaps due to a tournament we weren’t informed about, so you should book well in advance. Though the manager at the golf club was very nice and helpful.| But the main issue of the hotel is the noise level in the rooms. There’s no sound insulation at all. In the first room we thought the problem was only in our upstairs neighbours, but after the manager moved us to another room on the 1st floor (so there’s no one upstairs), we still could hear everything other guests were doing: taking a shower, speaking on the phone, packing their bags, talking to the hotel staff at the door, moving the chairs (which was making really loud noise and could be easily fixed with some furniture stickers), so until they went to sleep around 1am we couldn’t sleep either. To call to reception and complain didn’t make sense, because these people didn’t do anything extra loud, just usual things. Then at 7am the leaf blower woke us up, though it was fixed after the second time we complained about it. On our last night we got lucky and had neighbours without kids who went to bed early, so we only heard their alarm at 7am (which still wasn’t the time we would prefer to wake up).| Another problem at night was the bed: it’s so soft you sank down by like 30cm and wherever your partner moved even a bit you could feel it on your side, which woke us up many times. The staff was trying to fix it with another mattress and extra layer, it got a bit better, but my husband’s back was still hurting in the morning, even though he travels frequently and usually doesn’t have this problem.| For these reasons we just couldn’t rest properly at night and had to cut our trip short and leave for home early to get some decent sleep before our vacation was over.

We booked in for an afternoon party (1pm-11pm) for a stag do. There were 4 us in total so took a large bed space in the VIP area worth it. We were at the back of the resort over looking the entire pool area with a great view out to the beach and sea also. Included package with champagne and soft drinks to start with waiter service throughout. The staff were excellent, very quick and accommodating. There was a mix of familes and parties through the day, each in their own respective areas but you were able to use the entire area and walk freely anywhere. Excellent food, drinks and facilities, all spotless cleaned and maintained throughout. There were a couple loose flooring boards in the VIP area which had to be maintained duriing the day through heavy foot fall but nothing promlematic. Prices are steep but the area demands it really, its an expectation. A great day of entertainment and enjoyment.

This is a truly wonderful place, one you’ll want to return to again and again! The club grounds are beautiful, well-maintained, and cozy, and the pool is simply magnificent—the perfect place to relax and enjoy the atmosphere.💃🏼 I’d also like to highlight the staff. They are incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional. We felt welcomed from the very first moment. It was especially gratifying to see such a warm and caring attitude not only toward us but also toward our dog. She was greeted with genuine kindness and attention, which is very important to us. Viva loves you❤️ The wonderful atmosphere, high level of service, and genuine hospitality made this place a truly memorable experience. Ocean Club Marbella is an amazing place to spend the day — the vibe is super chill, the environment stylish yet relaxed, and the service was spot on. The food was absolutely delicious, fresh and well-prepared. We had 6 liters of rosé wine and 2 bottles of champagne — everything was top quality and served perfectly chilled. The whole experience felt luxurious without being too formal. Great music, beautiful setting, and the perfect spot to enjoy the Marbella sun with friends. Definitely one of the best beach clubs on the coast!

Stylish, super clean, and very well organized. You don’t choose your bed – the staff assigns it, which actually keeps things flowing smoothly. Service was excellent all day, the crowd a relaxed and slightly older mix (35+), and the music stayed pleasantly in the background. One thing that surprised us a bit: there were quite a few families with small kids around – not exactly what you’d expect at a beach club vibe-wise, but still fine. Another note: on windy days, umbrellas stay closed unless guests explicitly take the risk – which makes sense, but it’s good to know in advance. Big plus: you can stay until 9 PM and really enjoy a full beach day.

Pool is big and the water is clean and has a perfect temperature. Service is very good and proffesional. The prices are quite expensive. Food is good but also expensive. If you are willing to spend around 250€ per person for a day (with tickets incl.) then it’s a great place to go.

Food and drinks were decent, it’s priced as you would expect in this part of Spain at a Beach Club. Service started out a bit slow, but picked up after the first drink and they found us a table as walk-ins. Wash rooms and the venue in general is very nice and well maintained with friendly staff. This place is very kid friendly, which may be a positive for some, but personally I don’t want to pay €250+ for a bed and have screaming children running around.

I recently spent three nights at Don Carlos Marbella in a family connecting room. It was certainly on the expensive side, but the hotel has been recently renovated and it really shows. The property is stylish, modern and has a luxurious feel throughout.||On check-in, a young lady was assigned to show us to our room. Unfortunately, she seemed rather disinterested. She simply accompanied us in the lift and left us at the room door without explaining any of the hotel’s facilities or even letting us know where and when breakfast was served. It wasn’t the warm welcome I was expecting from a hotel of this standard.||I also felt the service around the pool could be more proactive. On more than one occasion, staff walked straight past while we were waiting for someone to help open the umbrellas. Small touches like that make a difference at a luxury resort. One thing that really surprised me was being charged €5 for the same small carton of Don Carlos branded water that is provided complimentary in the rooms. That felt unnecessarily expensive. ||Breakfast, however, was excellent. There was a huge variety on offer, everything was well presented, and the breakfast staff were friendly and efficient.||A special mention must go to the team managing the valet parking. They were always welcoming, quick to assist, and my car was brought around promptly every time.||Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay at Don Carlos Marbella. While it’s undoubtedly a beautiful hotel, I’m still undecided as to whether the overall experience justified the premium price.

Unbelievable. The hotel itself is exceptional, from quality, vibe and attention to detail. But what I’m really leaving a review about is the team here at Gran Marbella Resort, they are all fantastic and always have a smile. The breakfast is exceptional and the restaurant for dinner blew us away. We’ve eaten at a few places in Marbella and the restaurant onsite for dinner is the best of the best. Both gyms were great and had everything you need for keeping on top of training during holiday. If you’re considering this for your stay, do it.

There are beautiful places, and then there are places with soul. Gran Marbella Resort & Beach Club is one of them. The setting is stunning, with every detail carefully considered and an atmosphere that is hard to describe and very easy to enjoy. Everything invites you to stay a little longer: the surroundings, the ambience, and that feeling of being on holiday, even if only for a few hours. But what truly makes the difference is the team behind it all. Warm, attentive and genuinely committed to making every experience special. It is refreshing to find places that understand that true luxury lies in the details and in how they make people feel. Congratulations to the entire team for creating such a special destination. We had an absolutely amazing stay at this resort in Marbella. From the moment we arrived, everything was simply perfect. The service was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and always going the extra mile without being intrusive. Every member of staff made us feel genuinely welcome. The facilities and overall product are top-notch. The pools are beautiful, well-maintained, and offer plenty of space to relax, whether you’re looking for a quiet spot or something more lively. The location is ideal, close to everything yet peaceful enough to fully unwind. Our room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, with great attention to detail. Housekeeping was impeccable throughout our stay. The food deserves a special mention—excellent quality across the board, with plenty of variety and consistently high standards. Every meal felt like a treat. Overall, it’s hard to find a single fault. This is exactly what you hope for in a luxury resort, and it truly delivers on every level. This hotel has great potential lovely building generally very polite nice staff and great swimming pools however at the moment it’s right next to a building site which starts at 7 am and is certainly not peaceful at least on one side of the Hotel. There is also a beach bar just below that has DJ nights Sundays and Wednesdays so pretty impossible to sleep until midnight. obviously this might not bother everyone .Also if you are gluten-free very few options to eat in the hotel and beach bar other than grilled seabass definitely would expect a lot more choice from a five star aspiring Hotel. Staff are very polite and try help however not quite the experience we expected.

Frequently asked questions about spas in Marbella

    How much do spas cost?

The cost of a spa treatment varies depending on the type of service, the duration of the session, and the specific amenities included. In Marbella, prices can range from affordable day passes to premium luxury packages, often influenced by whether you choose a basic massage or a comprehensive full-body wellness experience.

What are the benefits of spas?

Spas provide a wide range of physical and mental health benefits, including stress reduction, muscle relaxation, and improved circulation. Visitors often use these facilities to improve their overall sense of well-being, alleviate tension from daily life, and enjoy specialized skin or body therapies.

What is the difference between a muscle spasm and spasticity?

A muscle spasm is a sudden, involuntary contraction of a muscle, while spasticity refers to a persistent, long-term increase in muscle tension or stiffness. Understanding this distinction is important as spasms are often acute reactions to strain, whereas spasticity is typically a chronic condition affecting movement and posture.

How often do muscle spasms occur?

The frequency of muscle spasms can vary greatly depending on the individual's physical activity, hydration levels, and underlying health conditions. Some people may experience them occasionally due to overexertion, while others may experience them more frequently as a result of chronic fatigue or electrolyte imbalances.
