Tristan

I’ve been coming to this restaurant for years and years and have always been happy with the food and service etc. but today’s visit left me doubting whether or not I’ll go back. I ordered the “Mama’s Muffin” for breakfast and asked to substitute the fried egg for poached and was told this is not possible as the dishes come “as is” (are they preprepared??) I might understand if I was asking to change the ingredients (but even then shouldn’t be an issue in my opinion) but merely asking for an egg to be cooked in a different style, when they clearly know how to poach as egg as it is available in other dishes…Might seem like a small detail but honestly when there are so many other breakfast options available in and around Marbella I will certainly reconsider next time.

It’s always a pleasure to go there – you are served fast and the food is always good, and you have a great variety of breakfast options. We have been there at least 10 times and we are always happy. The smoothies are particularly good. And the prices are very fair. I took shakshuka to try for the first time, but I was a bit disappointed cause it was too liquid. But with bread it worked out okay 😊 Unfortunately they don’t have iced coffee or matcha – but this could be something that can improve 😉

Fabulous little hidden gem offering fresh breakfast and lunches at good, fair prices. The panini was toasted perfectly and tasted great (no chives for me though 🤣) The BLT- was so tasty- the bacon was crispy, the salad was fresh, the bread was lightly toasted (like a BLT should be) and crunchy. We searched Google for the best cheesecake in Marbella, and Tartuki came up at the top of the list. After trying it, I can honestly say Google wasn’t wrong! From the moment we walked in, the service was lovely and welcoming. The cheesecake itself was absolutely delicious—rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced. Every bite was incredible. We actually bought it as a birthday cake for my daughter’s 13th birthday because cheesecake is her favourite, and she couldn’t have been happier. It made her day extra special and was enjoyed by everyone. Thank you for the wonderful service and an unforgettable cheesecake. We’ll definitely be back! 😊🍰

Last time I buy here. I went this afternoon to buy some cakes and the service was awful. They were rushing me, being rude and making faces just for asking if they had one specific cake. I don’t understand the rush when I was the only one ordering and I had only been there for 1 minute. I recommend going to the one on Avenida López Domínguez, where they treat you politely and there is also more variety of cakes.Última vez que compro aquí. I had an issue with a Palm tree cake I ordered with Nutella filling; the shop assistant didn’t understand me. On the day I had to pick it up, I asked if it was as I had ordered, and she told me it was without filling. I had a bad experience because it was for my husband’s birthday and I wanted to buy a cake, and they told me I had to wait 1 hour for it to defrost, which I don’t see any reason for. I went to the other branch on Lopez Dominguez and the shop assistant told me that by order of the other bakery, they wouldn’t serve me there or anywhere else. I asked to speak with the manager and they told me it would arrive in 1 week. I filed a complaint with the consumer office and they told me that it is not a reason to refuse service. Terrible service. They have no way of serving customers; they need to be trained, be kind to the customer, and pay more attention at the moment of taking an order.E tenido un inconveniente con una Palmera que pedi con relleno de nutela no me entendio por parte de la dependienta el dia que tenia que retirar le preguntp.si esta como lo habia pedido y me contesta que esta sin relleno e pasado un mal momento ya que era para el cumple de mi marido y queria comprar una tarta y me dicen que tengo que esperar 1 hora para descongelarse.lo que no encuentro motivo me ido a la otra sucursal de Lopez Dominguez y me dice la dependiente que por orden de la otra panaderia no me van atender ni ahi ni en ningun citio e pedido hablar con la encargada y me an dicho que en 1 semana llega e puesto una queja en la oficina del consumidor y me an dicho que no es motivo para no querer atender pesima atención .no tienen forma de atender les falta capacitarse y teber amabilidad con el cliente y poner mas atención en el momento de cojer un.pedido.Translated commentShow original

Terrible service. After ordering a giant milk chocolate palm tree filled with Nutella (which I don’t know where is), I don’t know what concept of chocolate they have because it came out grayish in color and didn’t set, and to make matters worse, when I tasted it, several hairs came out from the inside. Their response was that it’s hot and they lightened the dark chocolate with white… giving me excuses that they are very busy and will be more careful… They asked me if I had ever bought it there before, to which I replied that I know exactly because I have been buying it there for several years and it was NEVER like this. Tasty churros and rich chocolate, outdoor seating as well as indoor. Good selection of ice cream. We weren’t given a menu, so pricing is not transparent and the food and drink is rather pricey. Cute. The food is delicious. The service is meh, but adequate. The young man that served us did not arrive at the table with a menu and seemed surprised that we wanted to see a menu. 😂 He had to go get one. The drinks were delicious and I can only assume the service gets better and more vibrant during high season. We enjoyed ourselves and would return. PAYING THE BILL: We asked for a ticket and they just came to the table and told us what we owed. It was right, but it’s not the right way to do it. Transparency is important.

Churros are super cheap, I ordered a chocolate milk but she gave me a chocolate sauce instead and it tastes awful. But what even is worse is the waitress attitude she picked up the plate before we even finished eating. The location is lovely with a small garden; coffee, great and the pastries, delicious especially the croissants made with butter. I have been going for years and the big off putting element is that the staff starts closing up the terrace WAY before the closing time( three quarters of an hour before closing time)and starts sweeping the floors and packing away very much before closing time; it made us feel unwelcome and rushed to finish. Also please bring back the table service( pre -covid) it is so much more of an upmarket feel when you get table service and not have to queue like at a cafeteria.

This place has stunningly good quality everything. Yes, if you are cheap and want to pay 50 cents for a coffee, please go someplace else. But if you understand what good coffee is, and how a lovely croissant should taste, this is it. Literally best place in Marbella. And I have been around everywhere.

Apart from the fact that it might be slightly overpriced for some people that expect a cup of coffee for a euro, and the fact that on a busy morning you might need to wait a little longer, I find this place is perfect for my business meetings. Staff is very attentive and pleasant, tend to remember your personal preferences and always smile. Will recommend for a morning meeting with friends and even some business contacts but only if you are not in a lot of rush or if you do not have some special dietary preferences.

April 27, 2026, came in around 8:00 PM, well within their posted hours (they were still open for another hour), but the experience didn’t reflect that at all. We were served empanadas that were noticeably cold, had to remind them about that. Terrible customer service from the women that everyone is complaining about in other reviews here. On top of that, they refused to let us sit inside to eat, which makes no sense when the place is still open. And the main reason we came there. Even worse, they wouldn’t allow us to use the bathroom. At that point it just felt like they were trying to push us out without actually closing. If you’re going to stay open, then operate like it, serve hot food and treat customers like they’re welcome. This felt lazy and dismissive. Bench outside in the part was fine I guess.

Ravioli, the Mozzarella or Turkey ham Croissant sandwich, or the Cream puff are truly heavenly!! And the people of the bakery are angels, so helpful, so cordial, so friendly. We ordered first penne pasta funghi but then opted for ravioli instead. They served the penne pasta, and when we said we cancelled it, without even asking a second question the girl took it back and served us the ravioli with a smile. A Beautiful experience! This is our 2nd time back to this place, we’ll come many more times to taste the wonderful food again!!

You truly cannot go wrong with Panaderia Garnier. As someone who appreciates a fantastic pastry, I can confidently say they set the standard for some of the best pastries in Spain. The quality and freshness are simply unmatched. Whether you’re starting your day with a delicious breakfast, enjoying a relaxed brunch, or just grabbing a quick bite, this place delivers every single time. The scent of freshly baked goods fills the air and the taste is even better. It’s clear that every item is made with a high level of care and quality ingredients. The staff basically doesn’t speak English. it is not a friendly place. look at the photo – so they gave us forks and knives …just droped on the table… Along with that, sweet pastries are good. But across the road is a small bakery – even the smell is better.

The place is very quiet and calm, the service was very quick. The food was okay, not the best. And the coffee was bad. And their smoothies didn’t taste good.

I prefer much more the GOYO in the center of Marbella. I always have the feeling that things are less fresh in here then they are in their Marbella shop. Having said that. Their coffee and cookies are Ok.

Frequently asked questions about pastry shops in Marbella

    What do pastry shops sell?

Pastry shops primarily sell a wide variety of baked goods including croissants, danishes, cakes, cookies, and specialty tarts. Depending on the shop, you can find both sweet and savory items, often categorized by dough type or filling. In a coastal area like Marbella, these selections often feature a mix of traditional and modern international styles.

What is a pastry shop and how does it differ from a bakery?

A pastry shop is a retail establishment that specializes in making and selling pastries, which are typically smaller, more delicate items than those found in a standard bakery. While bakeries often focus on bread and larger baked goods, pastry shops prioritize desserts, sweets, and intricate decorations. Understanding these differences helps you know whether to visit a shop for your daily bread or for a specialty treat.

How long do shop-bought pastries last?

Shop-bought pastries generally last between two to four days when stored correctly in the fridge or a cool, dry place. To maintain freshness and quality, it is best to consume them within 48 hours of purchase, as moisture and temperature can affect the texture of the dough. For items with cream or custard fillings, refrigeration is essential to ensure food safety.
