A good place to stop and eat with amazing Mediterranean Sea views. The food is delicious! Spicy prawns pasta and grilled fish is what we chose and not disappointed. Service is fine, not great but good enough. Place would need some nice music to lift up the vibe a bit. Overall a good choice!

We had such an amazing dinner here in Marbella! The paella was absolutely incredible — one of the best we’ve ever had. The seafood was extremely fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. On top of that, the view was simply stunning and created the perfect atmosphere for a relaxing evening. We booked for a hen do and he was the perfect balance of professional and entertaining with making us feel invited with jokes and even taking brilliant photos of our group on request which were great quality! The food was hot, lovely and tasted fabulous. John looked after us the whole evening and could not fault his service, even gave us a shot to carry on our night in town!

Olga Merolla

This restaurant became our favorite place for dinner during our vacation in Marbella. It’s a very modern, stylish Italian restaurant with outstanding service. The staff are incredibly attentive and friendly — it’s always a pleasure to place an order and exchange a few words with them. I also really loved the menu. As someone who lives in Italy, I especially appreciated the wide selection of pizzas, including some varieties that you surprisingly can’t even find in Italy — which is a real shame because they are absolutely delicious. I also loved the keto version of the Caprese salad with avocado. The desserts were fantastic as well — the pistachio tiramisu deserves a special mention. Overall, this is an incredibly elegant restaurant and I can only give it the highest rating. I can’t wait to come back again!

What a great hidden gem Cibo is! Perched on a quaint roundabout in the shade of ‘la concha’ you can eat and dine until your heart is content. Chris and his highly trained team are the stars of the show, if you’ll pardon the pun. I had the Cibo pizza, an experience I will cherish until I’m old and long in the tooth.

I really enjoyed my experience at Cibo Italiano overall. The prawns were excellent — fresh, well cooked, and full of flavor. The meatballs were also a standout, rich and comforting, and easily one of the best dishes we ordered. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere made it easy to relax and enjoy the meal. That said, I was a bit disappointed with the steak. It didn’t quite match the quality of the other dishes and felt underwhelming in comparison. Even with that, the strengths of the menu really shine, and I’d definitely come back — just sticking to the Italian specialties next time.

We came for lunch & was attended to by Marsela. She was very helpful & informative with the menu & drinks. We were seated in the covered terrace which was open by the side. It started to rain & Marsela came to our rescue immediately. She changed our table so that we would not be affected by the rain. We ordered clams, burrata & mango salad & the CIBO Pizza. Worth considering if you are coming

Nice interior with pleasant décor. Good color combinations, cozy atmosphere, and quiet — which is always important. When we arrived, it wasn’t too crowded, and the staff kindly joined tables together for our group of eight, which was a really nice touch. We all ordered different dishes — some had pizza, some Caesar salad, and some pasta. The salads were full of flavor, and the sauce came with whole anchovies, which was quite unusual for me. The pistachio linguine with shrimp was delicious and juicy — the shrimp were perfectly cooked. Everyone enjoyed the pizzas; we all tried a bit of each one 🙂 You really can’t go wrong with them. Everything was great! Highly recommend.

What can I say. If you don‘t go here, there is little space for the others – and me😜 It is just fantastic here. If you enjoy a nice friendly and very professional service with a warm host, this is the place to be. If you value fresh good food where everybody finds his/her highlight then this place is a must. Great food and very good wine list. And if you want to eat at one of the greatest spot along the Costa del sol then don‘t miss it and book in advance as this place is rare and popular!

Fabulous food with great service. Party of 22 for dinner, easily accommodated. Staff were great and the gent on front of house had prepared two tables – inside and outside as the weather was turning cool. The two outstanding dishes were the burger and the rack of ribs, but am the food was great.

We stayed in Marbella for a week and we had our breakfast here every morning. Everything we ate was good. The portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable. The chocolate croissants were exceptional, LOADED with Nutella, the chocolate pancakes as well. Very good coffee, great egg tacos in the morning, generous fruit bowls. I highly recommend this place!

I live in Marbella and absolutely love this place. The pastries are always fresh, and no matter the season, the café is always full of people, which says a lot about its quality. I also regularly buy coffee beans to enjoy at home, and they are consistently excellent. One thing I really appreciate is the variety of gluten-free and lactose-free options available. It makes it easy for everyone to find something delicious. Another huge plus is that they are open every day, which is incredibly convenient. The only downsides are that it’s such a popular spot that it’s difficult to find a quiet place to sit and relax, and unfortunately there is only one location in the city center. I would love to see more branches in Marbella! Highly recommended for coffee lovers and anyone looking for great pastries and quality service.

We came here mainly for the coffee. Unfortunately, both coffees were fairly average. The cappuccino was too hot and watery, lacking the rich texture we expected. On the positive side, the açaí bowl was fresh, tasty, and definitely the highlight of our visit. Overall, an okay experience but the coffee could be improved.

Celebrated my birthday with dinner recently at Ta Kumi in Marbella – it was an amazing sushi experience! My husband and I both enjoyed the 8 course tasting menu which was a journey through the sea. Some highlights included the oyster starter, the truffled tuna tartare and the sweet shrimps, prepared two ways. But honestly, every single course we had was fresh and a pleasant surprise. The restaurant’s sommelier recommended a nice bottle of sake that paired really well with our meal, which rounded out the meal. I highly recommend Ta Kumi, especially when you’re looking for an experience, and not just a nice sushi dinner.

Takumi in Marbella had been our go to for years. My photos don’t do it justice because we always eat before we remember to take a proper photo. The entire staff and the owner are amazing- so wonderful, helpful and cool. And the toro truffle quail egg special is insanely delicious- literally to die for. I took a photo but it seriously does not do it justice. Let your stomach decide for itself. Our go to list is the above mentioned special, the otoro nigiri with caviar, the butter fish nigiri with truffle cream and they have the BEST wakimi salad. And if you love Nobu’s spicy shrimp salad- Takumi does it even better. Honestly, if you love Japanese sushi done right, you cannot go wrong here. Cannot wait to visit them again when we’re in Marbella! 🤗❤️

Ta-Kumi is an excellent sushi restaurant with a strong focus on quality. The fish was incredibly fresh, the ingredients were top-notch, and every dish was prepared with great attention to detail. The presentation was beautiful, the service was professional and friendly, and the overall dining experience felt refined without being pretentious. You can really appreciate the care that goes into every plate. If you’re looking for high-quality Japanese cuisine in Marbella, Ta-Kumi is definitely worth visiting. We were recommended this sushi restaurant by multiple people and it absolutely lived up to its expectations. Jorge was a dedicated server who not only made our experience unforgettable but knew exactly what kind of sushi to recommend to us. It is absolutely worth the money, for three of us we spent €190 and we left completely stuffed and happy. There was even a complimentary chocolate we were given that might have been the best hazelnut truffle that I have ever eaten. Thank you to the team at Ya-Kumi for a fantastic evening.

I stumbled upon this gem after it was recommended to me while searching for a great Japanese spot in Marbella and it went beyond all my expectations! We were three people and all agreed: everything was perfect, from the incredibly kind service (they even found us a table without a reservation!) to the flawless quality of the food. We ordered a bit of everything, and every single dish was amazing but the anchovy nigiri was my absolute favorite, just wow! Huge thanks to the wonderful team Christophe, Cristian, Xorche, the sweetest hostess, and the lovely manager. You truly made our night!

What a place! This is one of the best restaurants in Marbella. And not taking into account just Japanese ones. The food is so delicious that you can’t stop ordering. Sushi, sashimi, wagyu. You name it. One better than the other. See the picture and try to imagine everything else was as good looking and tasty. Best quality food, best quality service. We were the group of six perfectly served by Alvaro himself. Being not only the owner but also the chef he is a perfect storyteller giving all the information on what is served and how it is prepared. He made also recommendations that we followed and felt like lottery winners each time another piece of food landed on our table. A sense of humor, passion and love to what he is doing need to be well appreciated. Good wine choice. We topped our meal with fantastic deserts not mentioning mind blowing Vega Sicilia Unico. One of the best culinary experiences ever!

We had a fantastic experience at Asador Argentinian. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm and welcoming—everyone was smiling and genuinely attentive. Our waiter was excellent: knowledgeable, patient, and really helped guide us through the menu. His recommendations made ordering easy, and his wine pairing suggestions were spot on and elevated the whole meal. The grill chef was also a highlight—friendly, confident, and clearly skilled. The meat came out exactly as I’d hoped, cooked precisely to our request and delivered right on time. The sear was outstanding, with that beautiful Maillard crust that added a deep, rich flavor and made every bite taste even better. If you’re looking for a place that takes its grilling seriously and pairs it with great hospitality, this is the place! (Everything was so good we forgot to take pictures)

We had a lovely dinner at Origen, the service was impeccable, and the meat was genuinely some of the best I’ve had. The menu was the perfect size, there was a good range of starters, and the wine list was superb. Would highly recommend!

Great food and excellent service! We went to Origin Asador yesterday evening and we had a reservation but asked to move it to an earlier time, and the staff kindly accommodated us. Our waiter – from Uruguay – was super friendly and attentive throughout the evening. My husband had a Ribeye which was enormous, easily enough for 2 people and I had Solomilo which was excellent. Overall, it was a very nice experience. If you’re a true steak lover, you’ll really notice the quality of their meat although it is a bit on the pricey side.

Absolutely recommend it! It’s not my first time to be here, but first time to try the lunch menu! So good! Only 28 euros and so many great choices and even a drink ( beer, wine, juice) to chose from. Service is really nice and they help to suggest you the best! Meat is fresh, well prepared and, frankly one of the best places to go for a steak in all Marbella…

The best Argentinian we’ve ever been to & we’ve been to a lot! Just fantastic food, from the starters, mains and desserts. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. Make sure you book online before you want to go as it’s always busy and leave enough time to try and park the car. Our new favourite restaurant 😊

Service is excellent, friendly and professional. A pleasure to be served by people who clearly know their job, not something that should be taken for granted on the Costa del Sol! The quality of meat and sausages and their preparation is second to none. I will most definitely be eating here again! And remember, quality does not come cheap!!

Victoria

It was the best paella I’ve had in my entire life. I was very impressed of how well it tasted, (paella negra), very balanced, with a little alioli sauce on the side. Starter (ensalada de gambas) and desert (brownie and brioche) were delicious, 10/10 and presentation was on top👌 We had a good experience with the staff, Francisco and Antonio were attentive and quick with orders.

Absolutely loved our experience at Florentine. The pizzas were genuinely outstanding and we even had the chance to thank Jacky personally for preparing them so perfectly. I ordered the Prosciutto Dolce and the combination of prosciutto with fig jam was simply next level — sweet, salty and perfectly balanced. My partner had the Spicy ’Nduja pizza and the spice level was just right: flavorful without overpowering the rest of the ingredients. Santy and Jacky both gave us such warm and attentive service throughout the evening. The interior design deserves its own mention as well. The restaurant is beautifully maximalist in the best possible way — rich textures, elegant finishes, layered lighting and so much personality without feeling overwhelming. The music selection also added so much to the atmosphere and made the whole experience feel relaxed and special. Definitely a place we would happily return to.

An absolutely beautiful restaurant!! Service was absolutely amazing our waitress Ada was so incredibly kind and helpful. We were served complimentary homemade focaccia straight off the back which was delicious and baked fresh in house every day! We had a margarita pizza(not on menu but available when asked for) and a Caesar salad. The pizza was delicious and the Caesar salad was delightful, it had kale in it which I loved and the dressing was amazing! Adda absolutely made our visit. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely Italian restaurant in Marbella 🍕 I had a really delicious pizza, and even the olive oil served with the bread was amazing. I arrived alone without a reservation, and they still managed to find me a little spot, which I really appreciated. The service was very warm and welcoming. I had such a nice experience there 🤍

We had a great time here! First of all, the service was incredibly warm. Our server was super pleasant, attentive without being pushy and everything just flowed smoothly from start to finish. I also really loved the overall style of the restaurant, you can tell they pay attention to every detail. I was especially impressed by the tableware — the dishes themselves are beautiful and add a special touch to the whole experience. The atmosphere is lively but not too loud, which makes it perfect for having a proper conversation. We ordered two different pasta dishes and both were good and satisfying. At the beginning of the evening, they brought us olives as a starter, such a nice gesture. The olives were fresh and delicious. The desserts were good as well: nicely made and enjoyable, just nothing particularly extraordinary. Looking forward to visiting again!

What an incredible dining experience! This cozy little pizzeria in Marbella’s Old Town is truly something special. From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding. The entire team made us feel genuinely welcome, and we especially want to thank Luca for his warmth, passion, and hospitality. We started with the burrata salad, which was wonderfully creamy, fresh, and absolutely delicious. Then came the pizzas and these were not just pizzas, they were the real deal. Every bite reflected the highest quality ingredients, perfectly balanced flavors, and true Italian craftsmanship. The carefully selected wines paired beautifully with the food and elevated the entire meal. What made the experience even more memorable was that the staff took the time to talk with us, sharing the story behind the carefully chosen ingredients and wines. Their passion and knowledge made us appreciate every dish even more. This was so much more than just dinner, it was a genuine culinary experience that exceeded all our expectations. We are already looking forward to coming back. A huge thank you to Luca and the entire team for an unforgettable evening. Highly recommended!

Very funky restaurant – we went 3 times and would definitely go again when back – staff were very helpful and friendly and the seafood paella for one which my husband had twice was stunning he said and packed with 🍤 and baby octopus 🐙- I had SEXY pasta one night and sea bass with lemon butter and mashed potatoes and spinach which was beautiful. Good value for money as well.

Very nice atmosphere, quiet, and the music at the perfect volume to actually have a conversation. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, although it was a bit too hot because of the air conditioning. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same about the staff and the food. The staff seemed a bit rude from the start, but when they realized they had gotten our orders wrong, they suddenly became all smiles. Maybe it was just an off night, but I noticed several other tables also had issues with missing or incorrect dishes. The service was also very slow considering we waited a lot for food and a lot for the bill. I ordered the Spaghetti alla Carbonara, and it was very disappointing, especially for an Italian restaurant. The pasta was not al dente, it was actually undercooked, and the flavor was overwhelmed by parmesan. Of course parmesan is an important part of the dish, but it was so dominant that I couldn’t taste much else. Overall, it was a mediocre experience and not one I would repeat, especially considering what we experienced and the prices charged.

Avoid at all costs. Where do I begin. As soon as we sat down, within a minute they were asking for our drinks, then just two minutes later they came back asking for our food order twice in a row. It felt like they were rushing us from the moment we arrived. The food then came out within 15 minutes and my prawn pasta was completely swimming in oil. I went to the toilet and while I was gone they had already started trying to clear our plates, which made it seem like they couldn’t wait to get us out of there. We complained about the food, but the only response we got was “ok” before they walked away and completely ignored us. No apology, no offer to replace the meal, and no attempt to resolve the issue. Overall, the service was awful, the food was bad and if I could give it 0 stars I would. Would not recommend to anyone in the area.

Frequently asked questions about gluten-free restaurants in Marbella

Are there many gluten-free options available in Marbella?

Yes, Marbella is a highly tourist-friendly destination that caters to various dietary requirements. There is a growing number of establishments that offer dedicated gluten-free menus or clearly labeled options. From high-end dining to casual beachside cafes, travelers with celiac disease or gluten sensitivities can find a wide array of safe choices.

How can I verify if a restaurant is safe for celiacs?

It is always recommended to communicate directly with the staff. Even if a menu mentions "gluten-free," it is important to ask about cross-contamination risks. In many Marbella restaurants, chefs are trained to handle allergen protocols, but confirming that they use separate cooking surfaces or fryers is a crucial step for those with severe intolerances.

Do Marbella restaurants offer gluten-free bread and pasta?

Many popular restaurants in the area provide gluten-free alternatives for staple items like bread, pasta, and pizza. Some establishments may charge a small surcharge for these specialty items. It is often helpful to book a table in advance and mention your dietary needs so the kitchen can ensure fresh supplies are available for your visit.

Are there specific neighborhoods known for gluten-free dining?

While you can find options throughout the region, the center of Marbella and the areas near the beachfront often have a higher concentration of restaurants that cater to international travelers. These locations are more likely to have multilingual menus and a deeper understanding of Western dietary restrictions, making them reliable spots for gluten-free meals.

Can I find gluten-free tapas in Marbella?

Tapas are a staple of Spanish cuisine, and many places now offer modified tapas. You can often enjoy items like jamón ibérico, olives, and various grilled meats and vegetables, which are naturally gluten-free. However, you must be careful with marinated meats or fried items, as these may contain hidden gluten or be cooked in shared oil.

What should I do if I have a severe allergy to gluten?

If you have a severe allergy, it is best to carry a translation card in Spanish that explains your condition clearly. This card can inform the waitstaff about the necessity of avoiding cross-contamination. Additionally, choosing restaurants that have official certifications or those that specialize in healthy eating can provide an extra layer of safety.

Are there gluten-free bakeries in Marbella?

Marbella features several specialty bakeries and cafes that focus on gluten-free pastries and artisan breads. These locations are excellent for finding safe snacks, cakes, and breakfast items. Looking for local reviews online can help identify bakeries that are strictly gluten-free, ensuring no wheat products are handled on-site.

How do I handle gluten-free requests at beach clubs?

Beach clubs in Marbella are generally well-equipped to handle dietary requests. When ordering, specifically ask for grilled options rather than fried ones. Most beach clubs are accustomed to serving international tourists and will work with you to provide safe alternatives like salads, fresh fruit, and grilled proteins that do not contain gluten.

Is it common for Spanish restaurants to understand "sin gluten"?

The phrase "sin gluten" is widely understood in Spain. Most restaurant staff will know what this means, but they may still need clarification on preparation methods. Using the term "celíaco" (celiac) can also help the staff understand the seriousness of the restriction and the need for strict kitchen protocols.

Are there gluten-free dessert options available?

Many dessert menus in Marbella now include gluten-free chocolate mousse, fruit-based desserts, and sorbets. For those seeking more complex sweets, many upscale restaurants can prepare custom desserts. Always double-check the ingredients, especially in puddings or tarts, which frequently use flour as a thickening agent.
