Very nicely located Chiringuito/ Beach Restaurant. Very reasonably priced and extremely friendly service. The house wine is excellent, so is the food and the presentation of it. Our new favorite at la costa del sol.

If you’re looking for an authentic Andalusian beach chiringuito in Marbella, Restaurante de Sergio is a must-visit. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and Sergio, the owner, is always around making sure everyone feels at home. He’s such a kind and genuine person. The food is outstanding—fresh, delicious local Andalusian cuisine at very reasonable prices. The beachfront setting offers beautiful sea views, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy a great meal. Highly, highly recommended. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Restaurante Da Sergio is one of our absolute favorite beach spots in Marbella! It’s the perfect place if you’re looking for a relaxed and less crowded beach day, with very comfortable sunbeds and a beautiful setting. The food is truly delicious, everything we’ve tried has been fresh and full of flavor. The price-quality ratio is excellent, which makes it even more enjoyable. Their cocktails are great, and the wine list is impressive as well. But what really makes this place special is the staff. They are always incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming, it genuinely feels like coming home every time we visit. A big plus for us is that our dog is welcome most of the year, which makes it even more special. Highly recommended if you’re in Marbella!

One of the best meals we’ve had in all of Europe. Started with pizza bread appetizer, wife had pear filled ravioli and I had the seafood spaghetti, all were outstanding as was the service. Sat outside with a beautiful view of the sea. Highly recommended!

Oh my gosh, I just had the most amazing pasta dish! It was this incredible penne with a rich, meaty sauce. Honestly, I could eat it every single day. The flavor was so deep and satisfying, you could just tell it was made with love. It’s definitely one of the best pasta experiences I’ve had in a long time. Seriously, if you’re ever in the area, you absolutely have to try it. It’s a must-have on their menu, and I’m already planning my next visit just for that. You won’t regret it, I promise!

I had a really disappointing experience at Da Bruno Sul Mare and honestly would not recommend it. We ordered a wide variety of dishes hoping to enjoy a proper Italian meal, but nothing really stood out as good. The food was bland and lacked the richness and freshness you would expect from Italian cuisine. Instead of authentic flavours, everything tasted more like mass-produced fast food rather than something prepared with care. On top of that, the service made the experience even worse. Orders were mixed up several times, dishes we did not ask for came to the table, and what we did order took a long time to arrive. When the food finally came, it was either lukewarm or simply tasteless. The staff did not seem very attentive or organised, and there was no effort to apologise for the mistakes or delays. The atmosphere was also underwhelming. For a restaurant in such a location, you would expect something lively, warm and inviting, but it felt flat and uninspired. Nothing about the setting made up for the poor food and service. Overall, Da Bruno Sul Mare felt more like a fast-food chain than an authentic Italian restaurant. For the prices charged and the reputation it tries to carry, the quality and service were far below expectations. There are far better places around that actually deliver real Italian food and a pleasant dining experience. I will not be returning.

Olga Merolla

This restaurant became our favorite place for dinner during our vacation in Marbella. It’s a very modern, stylish Italian restaurant with outstanding service. The staff are incredibly attentive and friendly — it’s always a pleasure to place an order and exchange a few words with them. I also really loved the menu. As someone who lives in Italy, I especially appreciated the wide selection of pizzas, including some varieties that you surprisingly can’t even find in Italy — which is a real shame because they are absolutely delicious. I also loved the keto version of the Caprese salad with avocado. The desserts were fantastic as well — the pistachio tiramisu deserves a special mention. Overall, this is an incredibly elegant restaurant and I can only give it the highest rating. I can’t wait to come back again!

What a great hidden gem Cibo is! Perched on a quaint roundabout in the shade of ‘la concha’ you can eat and dine until your heart is content. Chris and his highly trained team are the stars of the show, if you’ll pardon the pun. I had the Cibo pizza, an experience I will cherish until I’m old and long in the tooth.

I really enjoyed my experience at Cibo Italiano overall. The prawns were excellent — fresh, well cooked, and full of flavor. The meatballs were also a standout, rich and comforting, and easily one of the best dishes we ordered. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere made it easy to relax and enjoy the meal. That said, I was a bit disappointed with the steak. It didn’t quite match the quality of the other dishes and felt underwhelming in comparison. Even with that, the strengths of the menu really shine, and I’d definitely come back — just sticking to the Italian specialties next time.

Absolutely loved our experience at Florentine. The pizzas were genuinely outstanding and we even had the chance to thank Jacky personally for preparing them so perfectly. I ordered the Prosciutto Dolce and the combination of prosciutto with fig jam was simply next level — sweet, salty and perfectly balanced. My partner had the Spicy ’Nduja pizza and the spice level was just right: flavorful without overpowering the rest of the ingredients. Santy and Jacky both gave us such warm and attentive service throughout the evening. The interior design deserves its own mention as well. The restaurant is beautifully maximalist in the best possible way — rich textures, elegant finishes, layered lighting and so much personality without feeling overwhelming. The music selection also added so much to the atmosphere and made the whole experience feel relaxed and special. Definitely a place we would happily return to.

An absolutely beautiful restaurant!! Service was absolutely amazing our waitress Ada was so incredibly kind and helpful. We were served complimentary homemade focaccia straight off the back which was delicious and baked fresh in house every day! We had a margarita pizza(not on menu but available when asked for) and a Caesar salad. The pizza was delicious and the Caesar salad was delightful, it had kale in it which I loved and the dressing was amazing! Adda absolutely made our visit. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely Italian restaurant in Marbella 🍕 I had a really delicious pizza, and even the olive oil served with the bread was amazing. We had a great time here! First of all, the service was incredibly warm. Our server was super pleasant, attentive without being pushy and everything just flowed smoothly from start to finish. I also really loved the overall style of the restaurant, you can tell they pay attention to every detail. I was especially impressed by the tableware — the dishes themselves are beautiful and add a special touch to the whole experience. The atmosphere is lively but not too loud, which makes it perfect for having a proper conversation. We ordered two different pasta dishes and both were good and satisfying. At the beginning of the evening, they brought us olives as a starter, such a nice gesture. The olives were fresh and delicious. The desserts were good as well: nicely made and enjoyable, just nothing particularly extraordinary. Looking forward to visiting again!

DONT BUY ANY FOOD FROM THIS PLACE. I got the italian pizza which was so insanely bad. Probably the worst pizza I have ever had and I have traveled and tasted pizzas acroos the whole world… Dough was raw and toppings such as cheese tasted like chewinggum with no taste at all. I was told there was pistachio on top of it, but got some very bad tasting source with no signs of pistachio. No mortadella but some other sort of bad ham with no taste. Insane bad quality. The waiter was also negative and didn’t make up for the bad food at all. On top of all that we waited approx. 2 hours for the food which I wouldn’t even let my dog taste. Not worth your time or money

We found this restaurant on the last few nights of our holiday in January. It was absolutely fabulous. The atmosphere was lovely the Christmas display outside was fantastic. I wasn’t sure what to expect food and service wise but both were excellent. I have some unusual allergies. The staff were exceptionally good re this and went out of their way including preparing special dishes to accommodate. The food was absolutely delicious. We enjoyed it so much we returned again on our last night. They remembered i had my allergies and again prepared a delicious meal for me. Cosy Italian restaurant, lovely to sit outside on the terrace. We enjoyed the pizzas, and the pasta with pear was absolutely delicious! Definitely a dish to come back for! Seeing the occasional Lamborghinis driving past the roundabout tops off the experience 😉🇮🇹 Keep in mind that they charge an extra 10% tip on the bill, which they deduct from your change when you pay cash.

Honestly we had big expectations as it was a high rated place that were crushed quickly. We ordered 2 entrees and 4 mains aside from drinks. The mozzarella avocado tomato salad was good ( honestly can’t go wrong with that). Now the beef carpaccio lacked taste and the meat wasn’t good. For the mains I would say that the most decent one was black inked fish pasta. The truffle ravioli lacked truffle taste and was unsalted, the pesto pasta was super strong on oil not taste of basil or pine nuts. Last we choose another pasta that had meat on it with mushroom which was same lacked flavour. Honestly I don’t know why the dishes lacked so much taste and flavour. Now another thing is that we waited between the entrees and mains 45-55 min.

I enjoyed a lovely evening at Fat Mama with 4 friends for my birthday. Nice atmosphere with lovely ambiance and good food. But what made our night really fantastic was the service and attention from our waitress Sonia! Thank you handling all our wishes and requests about wine with a smile and great service. Bravo Sonia!

Fat Mama is a fantastic spot if you’re craving authentic Italian comfort food. The pizza was excellent, but the lasagna was definitely my favorite rich, flavorful and perfectly cooked. The fresh orange juice was also very good and refreshing. And the tiramisu at the end was amazing the perfect way to finish the meal. The service was outstanding as well. Pbaul took great care of us and made the whole experience even better. Friendly, attentive, and very welcoming. Definitely a place I’d happily come back to.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Authentic Italian Experience in Elviria If you’re craving a true taste of Italy, Trattoria La Bella Fiastra is the place to go. The pizza was absolutely amazing—perfectly cooked with fresh, high-quality ingredients that made it feel like I was dining in Italy. The pistachio tiramisu was the perfect way to finish the meal: creamy, rich, and full of flavor. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the service is friendly, and every dish is prepared with care. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic Italian food in Marbella. I’ll definitely be coming back! 🇮🇹🍕🍰

I’ve been coming to this pizzeria at least once every summer holiday for the past five years, and it’s become one of my favorite places in Elviria. The pizzas are huge, so I always skip the starter because one pizza is more than enough for me. I order this time the Genovese pizza with ham, goat cheese, aubergine and pesto. It’s a little more expensive than the standard pizzas, but absolutely worth it. Such a great combination of flavors, and I’ve never been disappointed. The restaurant is located on one of the busiest squares in Elviria, so it can get quite crowded, especially in the evening. I’d recommend arriving early or reserving a table by phone. We were lucky this time and got a table straight away. The staff are always friendly, attentive and incredibly quick. Our food arrived within just a few minutes. I’ve never ordered anything other than pizza here… and honestly, why should I? It’s a pizzeria! 🍕

Wow, this was the busiest restaurant I’ve seen in Elvira. Every table full. And I see why. The food was amazing. The Prawns Divaolo were excellent. Worth a visit.

Frequently asked questions about trattorias in Marbella

What is the difference between a trattoria and a restaurant in Marbella?

In the context of Marbella's culinary scene, a trattoria typically refers to a more casual, family-oriented establishment compared to a formal restaurant. While a high-end restaurant might focus on complex plating and extensive wine lists, a trattoria often emphasizes traditional recipes, a relaxed atmosphere, and authentic flavors that feel like a home-cooked meal.

Can I find authentic Italian cuisine in Marbella?

Yes, Marbella is known for hosting a variety of international cuisines. Many trattorias in the area specialize in authentic Italian dishes, ranging from handmade pasta and fresh pizzas to regional specialties from Northern and Southern Italy. It is common to find establishments that source high-quality ingredients to maintain traditional standards.

Are trattorias in Marbella suitable for large groups?

Many trattorias are designed to accommodate large groups and family gatherings. Because these establishments often prioritize a welcoming environment, they frequently offer communal seating or large tables. It is always recommended to book in advance, especially during the peak summer season, to ensure a table is available for a large party.

What type of wine is typically served in a local trattoria?

A typical trattoria in the region will offer a selection of Italian wines, including Chianti, Prosecco, and various regional reds and whites. They often focus on wines that complement the hearty flavors of the food. Many places also provide a curated wine list that features both domestic and imported labels.

Is there a dress code for dining at a trattoria?

Generally, trattorias maintain a casual dress code. You can expect to dine comfortably in smart-casual attire. Unlike formal dining rooms where elegant dress might be required, the focus in a trattoria is on comfort and conviviality. However, checking the specific establishment's guidelines is always a good idea before visiting.

Do trattorias in Marbella offer vegetarian or vegan options?

Most modern trattorias in Marbella are inclusive of dietary requirements. You can typically find vegetarian-friendly pasta, roasted vegetables, and vegan-compliant appetizers. It is often helpful to inform the staff of any specific allergies or preferences upon arrival to ensure the kitchen can accommodate your needs.

What are the most popular traditional dishes to order?

When visiting a trattoria, popular choices often include:

    • Lasagna prepared with rich meat or cheese fillings.
    • Risotto cooked with seasonal mushrooms or seafood.
    • Focaccia and other baked breads served as appetizers.
    • Tagliatelle with slow-cooked sauces.
These dishes represent the heart of Italian cooking and are staples in Marbella's dining scene.

Are trattorias in Marbella open late at night?

Dining hours can vary, but many trattorias in the area stay open into the late evening to cater to the nightlife. Some may offer late-night snacks or tapas-style Italian appetizers. It is best to verify the closing times on the specific day of your visit, as they may change during the weekends.

Can I bring my own wine to a trattoria?

Most trattorias have a policy regarding outside beverages. Generally, it is standard practice to purchase wine from the establishment. However, some smaller, more informal spots might allow it, but it is highly recommended to ask for permission beforehand to avoid any unpleasant surprises or corkage fees.

How do I choose the best trattoria for my visit?

To select the best trattoria, consider looking at online reviews, checking social media photos of the food, and reading about the chef's background. Looking for places that emphasize fresh ingredients and traditional techniques can help you find a high-quality dining experience in Marbella.
