The staff are incredibly friendly, and there is an excellent restaurant with stunning views. One more great experience: I accidentally left one of my irons somewhere on the course 😏🤦🏻‍♂️. Played this yesterday (July 2026) and had a very joyful round. Front 9 particularly were both excellent and interesting. Back 9, for us, lacked interest – quite flat and up and down. We preferred other courses in the area this week. The extra service was appreciated – ice cold towels handed out etc were lovely touches. Grass not as luscious as other courses in the area.

This is not about the golf course, as I think it’s nice. But a friend of mine has a tiny little dog, not coming out of the buggy. Internet showed dogs were allowed on the golf course. So I wanted to book a flight for 3 and ask confirmation concerning the dogs. Seems only members can take their dogs!!! So unheard. What a stupid rule is that! What a discrimination!!!

Beautiful atmosphere and an excellent experience at Los Naranjos Golf Club. The course is incredibly well maintained, with stunning views and a very relaxing environment. The staff is professional, welcoming, and attentive from the moment you arrive. Perfect place to enjoy a great day of golf, good food, and a lovely ambiance. Highly recommended whether you are a regular golfer or just visiting Marbella.

Recently been to Spain and this was the ‘best’ course we were due to play. Ranked highly on southern Spain naturally everyone was keen to play it. Upon arrival we were advised warm up facilities were closed which was no major drama but would have been nice to know. Sadly it only got worse from there. The tee boxes and fairways were some of the worst I’ve played anywhere, let alone for the green fee we paid. I tried to resolve this with their customer service but sadly they palmed me off so have left me little choice to leave this review. Now what I’d say is if the tee boxes and fairways were in peak condition then this would be a superb course.

Fantastic course, challenging but fair. Played here years ago and was really keen to bring the group here (none of whom had played here before). Staff were great, facilities were clean and tidy. The only negative part of the review were the greens (particularly front 9) weren’t being repaired. Suggest some more enforcement from the Marshalls to ensure people repair divots. (Not technically a fault of the course but some more policing from them may make this a “must-play” course). That being said, all of the group enjoyed it (quite a spread of handicaps/golfing abilities) and we’d definitely play here again in the future. 5 stars.

Lovely golf course, tight fairways but plenty of interesting holes. One of my favourite courses in the area. Been coming to marbella for golf for 4 years and this is up there for me. Nice clubhouse and club shop. Buggies a little slow but adequate enough. Would definitely recommend this course

This golf course is in a great condition. It had the perfect challenging holes that are very interesting to play. definitely top course in marbella. The restaurant to eat at after the game serves an amazing variety of food that tastes scrumptious. 10/10!

After playing 18 holes at La Quinta yesterday with excellent customer service from start to finish and throughly enjoyable round of golf, we played Los Aqueros today which was very disappointing. On arrival, a lack of people working to help with buggies and teeing off. There was no complimentary water on a really hot day (La Quinta provided this). The day was very long with slow play and no one to manage it. After finishing the round we ate in the resturaunt and were charged 2.50 euros each additional to be an apparent member which is ridiculous after paying so much money to play here. As a resident of Los aqueros we will not be in a rush to play here again, a lot better courses nearby.

This course is a joke. Architecture is ridiculous, tee boxes and greens in awful condition and carts constantly conk out. Zero redeeming qualities.

Course in great condition. Would recommend to golfers of any level. Views are amazing on the course. Staff in the pro shop are wonderful couldn’t say enough good about them. Highly recommended

Lovely setting with beautiful views and a nice club house. Staff was lovely, the golf club staff and also in the restaurant. Food in the restaurant was nice, prices medium to high. Great views to the mountains. The golf cousin itself: layout was pretty good but the greens very not in great condition, not well maintained and patchy.

Played today and no notes! Fantastic course, great welcome and really enjoyable day. Played three courses across the region this week and this was the best, by some margin. Stunning views and stunning setting. Highly recommend.

I visited this course on a golf trip with friends, and while the grounds are decent, I have never encountered such a hostile environment from pro shop staff. The experience started poorly when the staff refused to lend me a 1 euro coin for a locker, claiming they were afraid I wouldn’t return it. At that point, I had already spent 180 euro at the establishment and hadn’t even hit a ball yet. Things went from bad to worse moments later when we were refused the buggies we had just paid 100 euro for because we had misplaced the receipt. While losing the slip was an oversight on our part, it certainly didn’t warrant being shouted at and lectured to “pay attention next time.” The bottom line: The course is nice, but the experience is miserable. There is a complete lack of decency or hospitality here; they seem intent on squeezing every penny out of their guests while offering zero respect in return.

Course is good but worst experience I have ever had on a golf course. Caddie master and club shop staff, all incredibly rude and unwelcoming. Not what you expect for the price, overpriced in my opinion. Won’t be returning.

La Quinta is a great hotel, the on-site amenities were perfect, the grounds where amazing. The golf course was overall in good condition, there were a few parts/greens that weren’t great but that’s fine and it played well (although very hard course). The staff were all very friendly and helpful (hotel staff and golf course staff) my only issues were the room. I expected a lot better from a 5 star resort. The room was in dire need of a refurb, the coffee machine in the room was great but that was about it. Severe lack of English TV channels, the iPhone Dock was broken, the bathroom door would not shut properly or even lock, the bathroom overall wasn’t in the greatest condition. The beds and bedding were nice though. Overall it was a very pleasant trip but I expect a lot more from the room considering the price and the 5 star status.

I don’t think it is a bad course but it is just not very memorable. I played AB course and B course has a few very short holes including two Par 4s. A course is more demanding. Play AC course if you have the chance.

I had a very positive experience at the golf club. The facilities are well maintained and the atmosphere is pleasant. I would especially like to highlight the staff member Pedro. He was extremely friendly, very helpful, and took the time to answer all questions. His service really made the visit special. I would be happy to come back and can highly recommend the golf club.

Absolutely fantastic experience at El Paraiso Golf Club! I had a wonderful time playing with my son during our holiday, and even though we only managed to play 10 holes, it was absolutely worth it. It was one of the highlights of our trip and a great way to spend quality time together. The course was in excellent condition, with beautiful fairways, well-maintained greens, and stunning views. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Thank you for such a memorable experience. I highly recommend El Paraiso Golf Club to anyone visiting the Costa del Sol. We will definitely be back to play the full course next time!

Lovely track. Really friendly and helpful pro shop staff. We played as 2 ball early around 845. teed off on the 10th. Good pace of play and no waiting around. A really fun course to play on holiday, and a decent challenge. Nice wide fairways mainly so suits all handicaps. Green fee fairly reflected course set up and condition. Fairways and bunkers in good condition. Greens were sandy following treatment but I have no doubt they will play very true in a few weeks. Finally, we had lunch on the terrace which was very nice – the club sandwich is to die for! 😊 Will definitely return.

Great layout, disappointing experience. Overpriced. The course layout is really good – comparable to many of the other courses in this area. I couldn’t really see or feel anything particularly “Gary Player” about it. But. The greens had just been aerated, there was a temporary green on one hole – that’s the sort of things other courses usually announce in advance and reduce the green fee for. The greens were generally in poor condition, the bunkers (although with cement sub-base) had too little sand, and they hadn’t even been raked. I rented my own buggy but turned out I had to share one with another player in a two-ball (no problem). But the other guy paid for his two, and the club did not offer any refund for one of the buggies. On top of that, the reception staff barely seemed interested in answering my questions or even looking at me. It felt like a bit of a tourist trap that relies on the “Gary Player” name to attract people, but that’s not enough to create a good golf experience. It felt overpriced.

Beutiful location, very enjoyable, will return again to play, Such nice staff Extreamly well kept. Very good parking spaces. Would love to offer them a wine tasting and maybe introduce our Prestige Wine Collection there from our South of France private vineyards. Could be a beutiful fit, ❤️

This very well designed and maintained golf course is in the best condition of any courses in this area. Many new upgrades are making this course a must play. Several risk reward holes. Definately worth playing, great value for the quality. Two public electric car charging stations.

Beautiful golf course, not far from our hotel, pleasant service and an excellent restaurant with excellent service. The course is in good condition, nicely landscaped, challenging, but player-friendly, we really liked it.

Tough, narrow course was in immaculate condition. Greens superb. Restaurant excellent. Shops are well stocked with a wide range of products especially shoes.

A very good golf shop, especially for average or weekend golfers. It’s a great place to buy a first set and to find good deals on golf shoes. Luke and a very friendly German lady (whose name I unfortunately can’t remember) do a great job and are always helpful and approachable. The fitting area is well equipped, with a smaller but well-chosen selection of shafts, and the advice given is genuinely useful. You can also order clubs directly from the manufacturers, which makes it easy to get exactly what you’re looking for and stick with that setup. The wedge selection is a bit more limited when it comes to bounce options, but that’s in line with the shop’s focus on serving the majority of golfers.

Very disappointing experience. I specifically told the staff that I was a beginner and that I’m left-handed, yet they sold me a right-handed golf glove. For a beginner who relies on the staff’s advice, this is simply unacceptable, especially from one of the biggest golf stores in Europe.

If its not here its not made. Amazing selection, staff really helpful. Kids in a sweet shop springs to mind.

Nice store and stuff. For clothing and clubs a really good selection. Major brands, distributed in Spain, are on display. I, personally, missed only some more grip selection. But overall a really good store!

A golfers paradise (especially on a rainy day) with all the colours in all the sizes. Huge stocks of clothing and hardware makes it difficult to chose between bargains…so why not buy them both…or all 3! My golfing wife was in heaven so take the credit card. Very helpful staff too.

Got a brand new Taylor made set with the help of one of the employees. Was a shame Luke wasn’t there when I bought it as he is the nicest and most helpful employee there. He’s very knowledgeable and a good chap to just have a chat with. Overall the service is alright, I was a bit disappointed as I spent 2,500 euros and didn’t even get free balls or whatever as a nice gesture. Besides that, prices are unbeatable, very good prices.

The best teacher I have experienced, in less then 1 hour he had me hitting straight, corrected my posture and continously focussed on every detail to improve. Due to the classes I started enjoying the game of golf more and gained confidence. Jaime is extremely friendly respectul and throughout the class really concentrated and focussed on you as a person. 100% recommendable!!

Jaime does a great job analyzing students challenges, finding a possible way to solve them. He explains clearly and in multiple versions. Using trackman and video analytics really accelerates learning.

Played end of January, it’s a challenging layout course, comparable to Chapparal, not for beginners. Some holes are quite hilly plus hidden green. Green and tees were in very good condition. 3-4 fairways small portion and some small portion of rough were partially ploughed because of wild boars. It’s been raining so much all over CDS, course is semi dry/wet right now.

Awesome layout, brilliant course set up. We had a great day here at the course. Myself and my sister in law are Professionals and we thoroughly enjoyed the challenge that this course provides. Super friendly staff, very welcoming. The course condition was superb, greens were running around 9.5 on the stimp. The views are also worth seeing. We’ll definitely be back.

Amazing course, shot an awful round yesterday and tied my best round ever today. Staff were fantastic! There was some speculation of theft but everyone I encountered were 100%. Pace of play was ok, I played 2 rounds and on the first there was a 15 minute delay on the 15th tee but I would say they solved this problem generally. No driving range but there are nets for warm up. The cart girl only takes cash but if you give her your id you can pay at the bar. Phenomenal golf course and I highly recommend it!

After round of golf at Atalaya golf course I visited the Golf Friends Shop at 18:48, 12 min before closing. The girl at the counter who was on the phone waved at us they were ‘closed’, I waited till she finished her conversation and asked what time they close. She said 7, so I said that’s still 10 minutes right, but No , she was closing now. She made no effort to close at all she was on her cell phone, she didn’t asked what I was coming for, (just some balls quick in and out), just haughty no-customer-oriented attitude. We left, will take my business elsewhere what a bad experience.

We visited the Estepona store today. It’s a nice shop, newly renovated with plenty of products, specially clothes, shoes and clubs. Unfortunately the person that attended us was not nice at all, in a way he acted haughty. The main reason we were at the store was to buy a fairway wood that was in closeout (released in March 2023) and their Black Friday offer was: 30% off in clothes and shoes and 10% in clubs & bags. I kindly asked if the discount was applied at this club and the response a cold and unpleasant NO, and the reason given was it was the “owner’s decision”… My friend and I looked at each other surprised with the comments and left the place without buying anything. Too bad, as we will both share with our golf partners and friends today’s experience.

I was initially hesitant to write a negative review, but it seems many others have shared similar encounters. Despite giving them a second chance and returning for a new purchase, my experience was far from satisfactory. It’s disheartening to note that the issues I encountered appear to be consistent with the feedback of other customers. This raises concerns about the overall quality of service and the effectiveness of any improvements that may have been attempted. While I appreciate the effort to provide a chance for redemption, my recent visit only reinforced my earlier reservations. Unfortunately, I left the establishment with a very disappointing experience. I hope that the management takes constructive feedback seriously and works towards enhancing the customer experience. There is potential for improvement, but it requires a concerted effort to address the issues raised by multiple customers.

Don’t be so cheap people, you get probably the best shop in Europe and you go asking for discount. Full of staff to be attended in both floors, and huge experience pro for fitting. Life is expensive full stop .
