I booked an appointment with a specialist over a month in advance. Unfortunately they were out sick and I was only informed 30 minutes in advance. Traffic and parking are not the easiest in this area so I had already arrived in Marbella. Fortunately, the receptionist was able to direct me to their urgent care. I was able to get an emergency prescription refill while waiting for the next available appointment with this specialist in the upcoming weeks/months. Emergency care for expats with private health coverage should be fairly quick and straightforward.

One of the best hospitals in Marbella they are so professional , helpful & caring. It is always busy but clearly because the word around town of how good a hospital it is. I went in for emergency knee surgery and Surgeon could not have been better Doctor Coralles 🙏 thank you. He sent me to their physiotherapy Clinic for two months of incredible treatment by a wonderful woman, Ava 🌟who got me back to normal with her kindness and patience and professionalism. Thank you to all Staff I met in the hospital .

Visited today for sciatica treatment (injection administered), but the receptionist insisted I speak Spanish. The sign clearly stated “international receptionist,” implying English communication should be available. However, about 10 minutes later, another patient arrived and was fully assisted in English. This felt like selective treatment based on appearance, despite all patients paying for the same service.

I’m very pleased with the hospital staff specially with my ophthalmologist Dr. Ramirez and his assistant. My eyes surgeries went very well and I happy with the results. I recommend anyone having any eye problems to come to this hospital.

No Hospitality at all for someone who come here to seek help due to sickness,from the reception to the doctors…though just unlucky so i came twice…diff doc,and SAME

I don’t recommend this hospital. After visiting the ER with kidney and stomach pain, I was told to return anytime the next week for a scan. On Monday, I was turned away because the doctor wasn’t available, and on Wednesday I was refused again because I hadn’t been told to prepare by drinking fluids beforehand. Poor communication and organisation led to two wasted trips. Emergency care might be fine, but for anything else, avoid this hospital.

I booked an appointment two weeks ago at this private hospital. I clearly know the name of the doctor, and this was my first time coming here. Before the appointment, I asked for a confirmation and was told that it was not necessary, that I only needed to note it on my side. On the day of the appointment, I was informed that the doctor is on holiday. No prior notice. No message. No call. Nothing. Despite this, the staff suggested that I may have contacted another center, which is completely incorrect. This appointment was made with your hospital, and the lack of organization is entirely your responsibility. For a private hospital, this situation is frankly shameful. Total waste of time and a very poor first impression. I absolutely do not recommend this hospital.

Spent 5 nights at this zoo. Only one lovely male nurse in the NICU, the rest of them treated me like an animal. Didn’t clean my bedsheets, the food they served was inedible and I even got locked out of my own ward one night. Doctors got my daughter’s gestational age wrong as well as my blood group. I get PTSD thinking about this place.

Today may 11 2026 20 times from 11:50 am to 12:10 i called the secretary keeps hangingup on me, is the rudest worst unprofessional person to ever answer any calls. Only a demon can behave do inhumanely to ask for someone in english. Worst hospital do not go there ever even dying, they make you suffer and die alone, cannot let you visit or help someone or speak to anyone

My mother took ill two years ago while on holidays from Ireland and had a 20% chance of living. This hospital saved her life- if she had fallen ill at home in Ireland she would have died on a trolley, so bad is the health system in Ireland. I was very impressed with the hospital and entire set up at this hospital, and will always be very grateful that the illness happened when she happened to be in Spain. (Canteen staff could be a bit friendlier though!!).

The emergency A & E is extremely busy. Expect to wait between 6 to 9 hours. However once my husband was admitted the staff gave/are giving brilliant care. They treat my 81-year-old husband with tremendous due care and respect. He may have to have his foot amputated; at the moment they are trying to treat with IV antibiotics. I initially gave 5 stars. I’ve now downgraded to one star. Seven daylater he had amputation. Some of the auxiliary staff were downright rude! He was moved to same floor, different room. Example, the cleaning staff came in,picked my bag up off the floor and “dumped” it on his bed. My anxiety level hit the roof. Nooooo! I said. Not hygienic, in UK we are told not to sit on bed! Also I hadn’t seen his left leg amputation so wasn’t sure where it was! I used to work in a hospital as a medical secretary. If these people don’t enjoy their job, LEAVE!!! Do us all a favour. Then another one said she didn’t understand me when I asked, “Puede ver un doctor para mi marido” she huffed and puffed and said, “No comprendo.” And walked away. Truly ignorant.he other room had better care! I cannot fault the doctors. They were empathetic and top class. At the end of the day, they are here for him, not the other dim-witted so called carers.

What terrible service. Making you wait for hours and hours in a waiting room with no communication. Some doctors speak a word of English; others simply refuse to. And this for a university hospital, or whatever they dare call themselves. You ask for certain medication to be prescribed… yeah right, I’ll register it on your health card. You get to the pharmacist… guess what? Not on the card.

I was there 11/4/26 and i had fantastic treatment, cant say enough about the nurse’s, doctors ect, they were amazing, 100%better than uk. Treated me like s queen. Thank you.

This is really one of the worst places on earth. This really is one of the worst places on earth. I went here to receive treatment and in the emergency room you expect a wait. You expect serious conditions that are more than yours. But what you do not expect is the constant rude attitudes and behavior of staff. These people are beyond lazy. They have a total disdain for treating foreigners. This definitely is a zoo. I was taken in after some time, diagnosed with pneumonia and placed in an overnight observation tank with ten other patients. They continued rotating them in and out throughout the course of the night. The staff was very loud and playing around most of the night. When I woke to use the restroom my neighbor was using the other half of my IV hanger, so I couldn’t take mine to use the bathroom. When I finally could go, I noticed the guy who was supposed to be observing us, fast asleep at the desk. Then after the night passed, here comes the gargoyle pictured with an attitude and very nasty racist behavior. It said rudely that is you’re in Spain speak Spanish. She was yelling at me to put the foot rest down so she could give me bread and warm milk that she had already given to another patient. When I objected to the food and her treatment and said I could leave and perfect that I was doing so. No matter how overcrowded a place is, or how understaffed a place is this treatment to patients is unprofessional and unproductive. I discharged myself and checked into a private clinic. This other man was clearly screaming for help when I was walking out. I turned back to ask the staff to help him. They said that he was crazy and homeless so he would be alone and treated when they got to him. Looked as if he had puked everywhere

We can not thank everyone at Ceram Hospital enough, the treatment we’ve had under the care of Dr Benito, Joanna, all of the nurses and the surrounding team were first class. Each consultation was thorough, never felt rushed, professional, the hospital is spotless and does not feel overcrowded or hectic. It’s amazing! Our treatment was personalised, I was carefully monitored and every part of it felt like holistic care. Even now Dr Benito and Joanna will reply to my questions quickly and personally. I really can’t recommend them more highly. If you’re considering IVF abroad, this is truly an excellent choice. The team has made a very difficult time so so positive for us. Thank you team x x x

***Outstanding medical personnel and state-of-art facilities*** I’ve chosen hospital Ceram for the arrival of my first baby and I had a great experience! Being 30 weeks pregnant, I was new to Spain and I didn’t really know where to go. Internet wasn’t much help – confusing reviews and most of them dated many years back. So here’s mine and I hope it will help someone. Pros: * Easy access to the hospital and plenty of parking space * Everyone speaks English * No organizational issues and easy to get an appointment * Professional team, who is always ready to assist * Good value for money comparing to other hospitals * Nice and quiet hospital, no waiting time for appointments * State-of-art facilities * Dr Benito is a professional, who you will trust from the first appointment and who will make you feel comfortable and confident. He helped me to avoid C-section and to give birth to big healthy boy naturally. * Everyone from reception staff to nurses to midwives are absolutely lovely – I’ve been treated like a family member! Cons: You will want to come back for the second baby quite soon after giving birth to your first 😀

I have been to Cerum for all my midwife appointments / baby scans. Dr Benito and Estela have been so helpful throughout the whole experience. Estela even helped me with my suprise gender reveal and helped with booking my daughters birth registration. The team have been so lovely and my only regret is not having my Birth here. Highly recommend this hospital.

The best hospital on the Costa Del Sol. I’m so pleased we chose Ceram. From Estela on reception to the midwife Emanuela , everyone is so friendly and knowledgeable. Dr Benito over saw my pregnancy and my little girl arrived safely and happily in the water pool on the 8th June. The after care was amazing, I recommend this hospital to everyone.

Wow wow wow, I can not explain in words how much this hospital is amazing, I found through the internet and rang to speak about having my baby with them. From the very start I spoke to Tatiana who is so friendly and reassuring and gave me all the information I needed in order to make my decision to have the baby there with no worries. Every step of the way there was reassurance, as my past experience was not good at a previous hospital in Malaga. And they were aware of this and told me everything would be perfect. And they sure stood up to that expectation. I met doctor beneto only a month before my delivery date, had some check up and scans. And I had to have a c section in the end, my son was sitting too high up and wasn’t engaging. I booked in and got there first thing in the morning, and was looked after from that very moment. Head nurse was Fantastic, and John who looked after us on a night time. Also took my son into the baby room over night so I could rest and I am the most anxious mum ever and I felt so relaxed with this and give me the rest I needed. It was like a hotel weekend away. Not a hospital, dr beneto is truelly experienced with 40years behind him of delivering babies. The C-section and pain relief afterwards was on top of at all times. Nothing ever missed, very attentive. Looked after my husband while he was staying with me also. Making sure he had a drink and something to eat. All the staff were wonderful didn’t manage to get all there names. If there a bad review about this hospital regarding having babies here I really don’t know why they would write something bad. As it’s the same staff for years here and are all very caring. I came home a very happy content woman. We can’t thankyou enough! Highly recommended don’t think twice about having your baby here. I had my baby girl here in March 2018 she’s my first child and I was adamant I had a completely natural birth. I also wanted a very personal experience and that’s exactly what I got. The entire team are amazing!!! I couldn’t recommend it more I had Elena as my midwife she done all my antinatle classes so by the time I was in labour I really felt comfortable with her and knew she was aware of my birth plan. I was also very spacific with what I wanted when my baby arrived ie no vaccinations, no eye drops and I didn’t want her bathed I also wanted delayed ambilicalcord clapping, I got ALL of these things which I know many “natural mothers” who requested them in other hospitals and still the child was given these things. Although they do recommend them they was very respectful of my choices. As for the labour itself again I couldn’t have wished for a better experience, I had a water birth my partner and my sister was in the room the entire time as well as Elena who was calm and encouraging and Dr Benito came in and out. The room was lovely and tranquil with no lights except from the red bulbs in the water that along with the hypnotherapy music we brought with us made a very calming atmosphere. Elena was beyond amazing she’s got a wonderfully warm way about her and towards the end when I was in unbelievable pain she kept me calm and motivated. Dr Benito was also fantastic again I felt he knew me and my plans very well as I had all my monthly scans with him. Even the receptionest remembers your name here it really is that personal. Huge huge thank you to the entire team and especially Elena and Dr Benito for taking such great care of me and delivering my baby girl. I will 100% return for my next baby xx

If you are English I would not advise you go to hospital ceram. I had major surgery here as a private paying patient and I was treated terribly to the point where I left crawling on my hands and knees with drains attached internally and externally. The reception speak English but the nurses do not. I have been in Spain 12 years and this is the first time I have experienced discrimination to this extent. After surgery I was put in a lovely room – for 6 hours no one checked on me, no one gave me water or offered food. When I asked the nurse why.. she begrudgingly brought me a bottle of water along with a syringe full of something to ‘help me sleep’. I said stop please what medication is in the syringe? The lady started huffing shouting at me in spanish and walked out the room. That was my first interaction with a nurse, at this point 7 hours after surgery. I asked her to remove my iv so I could leave and she laughed in my face. I removed my own IV drip and left the hospital with stomach drains and bottles of blood still attached. 2 doctors just came to my home and removed the drains ten minutes ago of me writing this (the day after). I would not recommend this hospital they have actually traumatised me. There is more but it’s too much to write. The fact I left with drains, crawling and crying my eyes out should be enough for you to understand how my experience was… There are plenty of amazing hospitals in Marbella and Malaga, if you are English do not go here – it was 100% discrimination at its finest.
