Armand Metghalchi

A while back I fave this store a 5 star review, as it was in line with my experiences. Not anymore, unfortunately! They somehow marked my order as “picked up at the store” even though I wasn’t in Spain when it was delivered to the store! Not to mention it was supposed to be available for pickup “within two hours”, not over a week later. I reached out to them several times to get a cancellation and refund, to no avail… I wouldn’t buy from them anymore, unless absolutely necessary (or they have a very good deal).

Redhead sales lady with glasses is so rude, only wanted to return earbuds and said we can’t because it was unsanitary and compared them to “returning underwear” not the same, didn’t even want to explain calmly to my father and gave attitude to him, I asked if it was broken, could it possibly be returned but only got “esta roto entonces?” with a tone as a response. I love shopping there for books etc but I probably won’t ever buy electronics there “head staff” lady.

Avoid this place at all costs! I brought my car for an oil and filters change. After two hours they told me my car didn’t start because of the problem with the fuel pump. I gave them the car that was fully functioning and they returned to me a piece of metal on wheels. The car doesn’t start and nobody even cares for it. All the time that I’ve spent here they are telling me to wait for some person. And then this person tells me to wait for another person and this goes on and on. This is insane to bring in a car for a simple service and get back the one that doesn’t start. If you value your time and mental health better choose another service station. Norauto and quality service are two different things that don’t combine

I left my car at Norauto Marbella for a simple brake replacement. After more than three hours, I was informed that the car was “ready”. Nothing had been done. Their excuse? They claimed the brakes were “too rusty” and impossible to remove or repair. This is coming from a company that calls itself automotive experts. Now the humiliating part—for them. When I got home, I took a basic hammer. Within 30 minutes, the supposedly “impossible” brakes were off and loose. No special tools. No drama. No excuses. Let that sink in: What their “professional workshop” failed to do in over three hours, I solved myself in half an hour. This is not bad luck. This is sheer incompetence. Either their staff lacks even the most basic mechanical skills, or they assume customers are clueless and won’t question them. Both scenarios are unacceptable. ⚠️ Do NOT trust their diagnostics ⚠️ Do NOT waste your time ⚠️ Do NOT leave your car here If a workshop cannot remove brake components and then hides behind excuses, it should not be allowed to touch customer vehicles at all. Avoid Norauto Marbella. Completely.

Iivo Gröhn

Very poor and untrustworthy experience. The price for the tire change was agreed in advance at €200, but at payment I was forced to pay almost double. The shop justified this by referring to my signature on a tablet. However, this signature was taken when I handed over the car keys, and no price, contract terms, or agreement details were visible on the screen at that moment. As a customer, I was not given a fair opportunity to review or knowingly accept the final price. The situation was misleading and felt pressuring rather than transparent or honest. I do not recommend this business to anyone who values clear pricing and fair customer service. Be very careful and always demand everything in writing before signing anything.

I have to a big thank you to Mario, for helping us yesterday after my front number was stolen, going to Estepona to do the required Denucia at the National Police station and racing to Norauto in marbella to hopefully findout if they can do my a front number plate as I had to take my family to the airport in 2 hours and was worrying about driving with no number plate or worse not being able to enter the airport due to number plate recognition we Met The smiling face of Mario, he was absolutely fantastic, took control and said do not worry we will have a new plate on your car in 30 minutes, actually done in 20 minutes. Thank you Mario for your prompt help yesterday and yes my family all got to the airport on time for their flight home to the UK. The world would a much better place with a few more Mario’s. I bought a kaki tree there and although properly packed the root was cuted before the packaging. It’s just shameful they sell a tree like this and even say their quality control assures all is done properly. The photo is quite clear about the quality of the plant that was sold to me. If I was not now in the opposite side of the peninsula I would just take it back and demand for a justification in person.

Nice garden center. It is only a pity that they never have the trumpet flower (brugmansia) except 3 skinny plants with wite flowers instead of the popular yellow ones. One of the most lovely and nicest smelling plants that you can find everywhere, except in garden centers apparently as we are looking now 2 years occassionly.

A huge selection of items of every kind. Check the prices. While some items are good value, others are definitely not. DOUBLE CHECK YOUR RECEIPT! Twice now I’ve been the victim of overcharging – the first time, they double scanned an item; more recently, when the scanned price was more expensive than the ticket on the product and indeed the price label above the products on the rack. The old boy first up attempted to blame his shoppers for changing the price labels around. Even when we went over there and he clearly saw it was 4.75 EUR, he simply said it was wrongly written as the barcodes didn’t tie up. It was 100% his responsibility to communicate prices in a fair and accurate way. Instead, he tried to weasel his way out of things by blaming clients and even when it blatantly shows the price for a ‘tutu’, he refuses to accept responsibility. In fact, he took it upon himself to rip the price labels with 4.75 EUR off the tutu… Not to be trusted. And if you want to go to a Chinese shop, go across the road to the one next to Supercor. They’re also far more pleasant over there. Will never set foot in this place again.

Poor Customer Service at Media Markt – TV Section I visited the TV section of this Media Markt today, July 23, around 1 PM, and had a disappointing experience with an employee (name starting with “Zam”). I was completely ignored at first. When I finally got his attention, he responded rudely and dismissively. What made it worse was the communication — he clearly understood English, but every time I asked a question, he replied in Spanish only and ignored my attempts to get a clear answer, as if he simply didn’t want to be bothered helping me. This kind of attitude from staff really affects the shopping experience, and I hope management looks into it, since customer service should be a basic standard regardless of language.

The most disgusting company in Marbella. Never, ever buy anything here! Instead of next-day delivery, I had to wait a whole week for my dryer. Then, after that, the dryer worked for one single day, and after that it started making a noise like a drill, or like a Boeing 747. I immediately called customer service, and they told me they would take care of it. I waited a week for a phone call that was supposed to come, and nobody contacted me. Then I waited another four days for their call, and again nobody responded. After that I called them once more, and once again they told me they were “handling it.” I have been without a dryer for a month because I bought a tumble dryer from this rat-infested, vomit-worthy, useless cheap company. Never, never, never, never buy anything from here!

Media markt advertise a price of a product on offer. When I went to the checkout the lady said no this is not at the sale price, in a rude manor and waved her hand at me, After 25 minutes of waiting then asking to speak to the manager who was not helpful at all, he stated the sale price only for the silver colour. It didn’t state anywhere on the sale board about the colour it just stated the brand and model which is what I took to the till. The manager refused to do anything about it and Confirmed he didn’t have any silver ones left to sell. “Ok so put your misleading sign away then” I will never buy from there again.

Marbella store. I purchased one large floor lamp online and went to collect it in-store. The staff placed two very large, 2-meter boxes + base boxes (about 15kg each) onto a trolley. I asked if I could borrow their trolley to take the items to my car and return it, but they said no. I understood and went to empty my own trolley in the car so I could come back for the items. What shocked me most was that not a single staff member offered to help me. I am only 157cm tall and petite, yet was left struggling to lift and maneuver oversized, heavy boxes longer than my own height. Even the Male staff member who saw me and prepared my order simply watched. The lack of basic courtesy and customer service was unacceptable and frankly quite pathetic. This is not the experience one wants to have while spending significant money in store. On a side note, one of the silver floor lamps arrived quite dented. Was this not checked prior to dispatch? But the situation gets better. I ordered one lamp but was given two, and have now received an email saying a third is ready for collection. While some people might take advantage of this mistake, as a Muslim my conscience and faith prevent me from keeping what is not mine. We will return the extra lamps, even though the service we received did not deserve such decency in return. Overall, this was an extremely poor experience—from unhelpful staff to repeated order errors. Absolutely unacceptable, and very disappointing.

Frequently asked questions about lighting showrooms in Marbella

    How much does lighting cost?

The cost of lighting depends heavily on the type of fixtures, the quality of materials, and the complexity of the installation. For residential projects, prices can vary significantly between basic LED bulbs and high-end designer chandeliers or integrated smart systems. Factors such as energy efficiency ratings and the specific requirements of the room will influence the final budget.

How do I choose the right lighting for my bathroom and kitchen?

Choosing the right lighting involves balancing functional brightness with the specific aesthetic of the room. For kitchens, you need a mix of task lighting for food preparation and ambient lighting for the overall space, while bathrooms require waterproof-rated fixtures and even distribution to avoid shadows. Consider the placement of mirrors and work surfaces to ensure the light is directed where it is needed most.

What is spot lighting and how does it help?

Spot lighting is a type of directional lighting designed to focus a concentrated beam of light on a specific object or area. It is commonly used to highlight artwork, architectural features, or specific decor pieces to create visual interest. By using different beam angles and intensities, spot lighting can transform the atmosphere of a room and guide the viewer's attention.

What are the regulations for bathroom lighting?

Lighting in bathrooms must adhere to specific safety regulations regarding moisture protection and electrical safety. In many regions, fixtures must have a specific Ingress Protection (IP) rating to ensure they are safe for use in high-humidity environments. It is important to consult local building codes to ensure all installations meet the required safety standards for wet zones.

What are the benefits of outdoor lighting?

Outdoor lighting enhances safety, security, and the aesthetic appeal of your property. It helps define pathways and garden features while deterring intruders by eliminating dark corners. Proper outdoor lighting can also highlight landscaping and architectural details, creating an inviting ambiance for evening use.
