A wonderful visual feast for lovers of cars from recent decades, or rather the last century, divided into decades, it boasts an excellent collection of models that stood out from the times. Additionally, futuristic models and prototypes spark the imagination. Along with the cars, you’ll also find a rich collection of fashion appropriate to the era. I highly recommend it.

Excellent care museum with haut couture dresses included. Seems like a strange mix but both are art. Parking is a bit challenging. They even had the same Excalibur Phaeton model that we have; first time I’ve seem one of my cars in a museum.

Had a lovely time visiting Museo Picasso Málaga over the weekend. The collection is well presented, and it was a great way to spend a few hours exploring Picasso’s work and artistic development. I’d recommend booking tickets online in advance, as it makes the visit much smoother. Overall, a very good experience and definitely worth a visit if you’re in Málaga.

Very nice museum with 200+ works from all decades of Picasso’s life. Priceless art and information on the life of one of the greatest artists in the history of the world. I would have liked to see more history on Picasso’s life as I learned many things I did not know, but the information was limited and led to me reading much more about the artist later in the evening. Overall, a must visit if you visit Malaga.

A must see, the museum is fairly small but beautiful, easy to navigate, includes a wonderful gift shop and modest outdoor cafe. The collection is not huge but more than makes up for its size in the extraordinary glimpse it provides into the life, the art, the process of the greatest artist of the 20th century. From Picasso’s work as a young student, paintings of his family, early blue period, cubism, surrealism, sculpture, pottery, sketchbooks, all the way into his powerful 1970’s work near the end of his life. Overall a small but magnificent peek into his enormous unparalleled work.

It was a great choice to visit Museo Picasso Málaga and I didn’t miss it. It was an opportunity to refrsh my familiaryty with Picasso life and work. I was alwas curious what motivated his choices and kept him to stubbornly following his ideas and experimenting. At least, he had a busy and fruitful life.

Temporary exhibitions are thoughtfully chosen and never feel like an afterthought, while the whole place is calm, well-organised, and refreshingly free of fuss. At €12, it feels entirely fair—good value, even. If the Picasso Museum is Málaga’s exclamation mark, this is its well-crafted, knowing footnote. Quietly essential.

The Museo Carmen Thyssen Málaga is a calm, beautifully restored space in the old town, focused on 19th-century Spanish and Andalusian art. The collection leans into local life and culture rather than big international names, which gives it a strong sense of place. It is not a huge museum, but that works in its favour if you want something manageable and atmospheric. Well worth an hour or two if you are in Málaga.

Wonderful museum well worth the 12€ per person for the entry ticket. It showcases Spanish art from the 19th and 20th century. The section on “Old Masters” is perhaps the least interesting, unless you’re into religious art, but the way the pieces are explained and set out is magnificent.

An invigorating experience. Unlike many galleries especially in London that lack an extensive collection of interesting and eye-catching pieces, this gallery had almost too much to see! Each piece was truly unique, and spanned across lanscapes and portraits of many eras and styles. Many floors to explore, a clean gallery with a cute and comfortable cafe. Plenty of lockers to deposit your bags (drinks not allowed in the gallery); lockers take 50 cents or 1 euro deposit that gets returned. Overall, the best gallery experience in Malaga so far!

A well-organized and curated art museum featuring mainly Spanish artists and art movements that you don’t encounter in all museums of the world. The underground archaelogical site is very interesting.

I was surprised by how large the collection was, galleries on three levels. Lots of paintings with local Spanish themes, some religous and back to basics from the 50’s And to my delight etchings from Rembrandt van Rijn. Some showing his superb skill like on Jezus as a kid in the temple.

The Carmen Thyssen Museum in Málaga offers an outstanding collection showcasing Andalusian painting from the 19th century to contemporary works. Beautifully curated, diverse and inspiring. For me, it was far more engaging and enjoyable than the Picasso Museum. A true highlight of Málaga. Highly recommended.

Spectacular artwork on the boardwalk makes the experience more enjoyable. Many restaurants, retail shops and a view back into the city and ancient hillside bring the city of Malaga alive! We are have several visits to Spain now and Malaga is fast becoming our favorite location, even with the tourism and cruise ship invasions. You can see why many Spaniards are proud to make this city home!

​I recently stumbled upon The Willow Tree Cafe, and it is truly a hidden gem in the heart of the city. From the moment you walk in, the warm lighting and the scent of freshly roasted coffee beans create an incredibly inviting atmosphere. ​The staff were exceptionally attentive and recommended their signature iced oat milk latte, which was perfectly balanced—not too sweet, but rich in flavor. I also tried the avocado toast; the ingredients were clearly fresh, and the sourdough had that perfect crunch. ​Whether you are looking for a quiet corner to finish some work or a charming spot for a weekend brunch with friends, this place is a must-visit. The prices are reasonable for the quality you receive. I will definitely be returning soon!

I visited this museum in the afternoon on 8 March 2026. Originally I am not a fan of contemporary arts, but since it is free to enter after 4pm on Sundays, I entered it anyways. There are abundant details and background information about the artworks which helps people to understand the original idea behind them.

Really liked this place near the port. The colorful building looks beautiful, especially in the evening. Calm atmosphere, nice walk and a very modern side of Málaga.

Set in a lovely area of Malaga, overlooking the marina, this museum is a jewel of contemporary art and design. The pieces have enough space to be displayed in all their beauty which helps take your time to perceive their message. I particularly enjoyed the soft battery from Claes Oldenburg, one of my favourite Pop artists.

One of the nicest museums I have been to in a long time. Very well organized and when you follow the fixed well sign posted route you see a lot of instruments. In the red zones you are invited to play the instruments and when you do you will find out that all that air guitar or air drumming is nothing like the real thing. There is a rooftop terrace and at regular times flamenco performances in a small theater.

Very cool museum for going with the kids and see different musical instruments and play with them. Every Saturday at 12 they have a theater for kids which is highly recommedable in this world flooded by AI.

Such a lovely way to spend a couple of hours with kids. They tried every instrument and learnt loads about musical instruments from around the world. A lovely thing to do on an afternoon in Málaga.

Very nice museum at a reasonable price, fun experience in the red room and you can show off your skills on different instruments plus learn a lot about the instruments and how did they sound years ago. There’s a roof terrace where you can enjoy some sun or eat your own snack after wandering around the museum and the area

Interesting museum with instruments I didn’t even know existed, life a human skull with horns and strings, sort of Ed Gane guitar 😂 there are QR codes with some instruments so I recommend headphones for the visit. There are few instruments you can play on in some of the museum. However, THE HIGHLIGHT of the visit was the Flamenco show, it was an experience that will stay with me for a long long time, the feelings it created inside was amazing. Artist really put their hearts into it, their expression was just astonishing to look at, you will never have this from a video, if you are in Malaga, it is a MUST SEE. We got a tickets with the Hop-On Hop-Off Bus, but if needed, I’d pay extra for this

There were several paintings by different painters and some individual collections. These are the ones that I enjoyed the most. I guess they could have got more paintings in as the place is quite big, and it seemed the space was not utilized to the maximum. Having said that, it was quite an experience. Their restaurant next door was quite busy, but the book and gift shop was closed

Unlike in for instance in a museum of fine arts, you never know what to expect in a museum of contemporary art. It can be anything and the appreciation or dislike greatly depends on one’s own background and taste. I was not impressed when I visited this museum. It’s much of the same as you see nowadays in most museums of contemporary art. The good thing was the entrance was free

Five stars because the museum is free (it’s hard to complain when it’s free). To be objective, I could’ve been lucky to get into the free exhibition. Nevertheless, the place looks modern inside with lots of contemporary art. I would recommend to visit the place

I love this place, I always visit when I’m in Malaga. The exhibition is updated frequently and has never disappointed me. I love being there and I often spend a few hours there those. A perfect alternative the wonderful beaches, the old town or the marina that Malaga obviously provides.

Worth a visit to this contemporary local arts centre. Bonus with free entry. Spacious for art display; refreshing looking cafeteria; lovely little book shop; clean public washroom and staff with friendly smiles. Feeling safe walking out and saw a police car just happened to be around.

Good space to display art. Cool and calm and very relaxed. Would be good to get a better coffee shop, that is open at 10am, rather than a restaurant which does coffee but doesn’t really open until after 11. Also a shame we could not sit outside. Also this is the first gallery I’ve been to that doesn’t have a shop! For a free gallery they are definitely missing a trick.

Disappointing. I understood that there was a large collection of russian art here and photos I had seen suggested that. Instead there was a very small selection of russian art and several temporary exhibitions which were, at best, entertaining. I’m glad we got a discount because at full price it would not have been worth it. The Pavlova exhibition was a total waste of space – you could have found everything there in a quick search on the internet. The one by the Russian photographer whose name escapes me was amusing and very homo-erotic. All the females were very bland but the males had a definite spark. Interestingly there were far more staff there than visitors and it is not surprising. Was looking forward to all the post revolutionary russian treasures and there were none.

I’m a bit disappointed because I didn’t see Russian art here, at least not on the scale I’d like. There are photographs in a separate section, but when it comes to painting, you’ll mainly admire the Dutch/Flemish school. Although the works are worth seeing, as the museum’s name suggests, where is the Russian presentation? I understand that political events influenced the decisions of the museum’s management, but let’s not conflate sports and art with political events, let’s not eliminate something that is independent and unrelated to political events. Despite this, the works available are worth visiting.

Loved it, the museum was actually a really big surprise. You can find both paintings and photos from different artist around the world It is not a museum with only Russian exhibitions – so that may be confusing and set the wrong expectations. Maybe a name change to be considered? The russian part was limited and maybe around 30%. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the exhibits and that the museum looks really nice and spacious.

They did a great job renovating the old tobacco factory. The exhibition were interesting and well exposed. What I missed was an explanation how the handle the relationship with the Russian aggressor in Ukraine. According to the internet all art was given back to St Petersburg and no more link to Russia. But why not clearly stating it whilst using the museum to show Russian artists that have no link to Putin?

Fantastic collection, diverse and intriguing. I had planned a quick visit as I was staying nearby and ended up staying several hours. There were displays of two excellent award wing Russian photographers and a huge eclectic collection from a local Spaniard that included everything from fascinating Russian Revolution and WWII documents to paintings by Kandinsky, Picasso, Lichtenstein and many others. Gorgeous place, nice staff. Deserves more visits though it is a bit off the beaten path from the historical centre.

Quite a disappointment – left after 7 minutes as the museum is small and there’s little to see: a waste of time and $$, not worth the visit – most of museum is empty. The pictures of czars and other historical artwork shown here by other visitors here are no longer displayed in 2025 – that was the reason for the visit here: instead there are old pictures of Russian ballerina and some random abstract art.

The building is very modern and is a large space to showcase art. Nothing feels crammed in. The current Flemish, Russian and Spanish traditional exhibition is good, but the Spanish modern activist and cultural photography display (Marisa Florez 1970″s onwards) steals the show – in my opinion.

What a delight and surprise. Free and empty – felt like our own private viewing. just loved the Dali pieces! Cannot recommend this museum highly enough. So pleased we found it.

This is a very interesting museum of Latin arts. For me, especially the lower floor is most interesting with the focus on Argentina and the female artists from Argentina. If you are in Marbella, give it a visit!

What a delightful morning! Visiting the Museum Ralli was a high point in appreciation for Marabella. I really enjoyed the artists and the art shown during this time period. Items include everything from heavey sculptures to delicate coins. Beautiful works of art.

Lovely place and welcoming. I came when it was raining, so it was the perfect thing to do when the weather wasn’t so great. Welcoming staff. Three floors. Downstairs was fantastic, and the first floor. Interesting exhibits and worth visiting. They even told me that photography is allowed without flash, which is good because I like to take pictures for a review. Free WiFi as well, which is helpful. I would recommend they add some contactless points for any donations or a box. As I would defo donate. Well maintained and not too many people inside, which makes the experience a very pleasant one.

A lovely, small museum — we visited with our 3-month-old baby and it was absolutely perfect. The size is just right, calm and quiet atmosphere, and a great collection including Dalí and Miró. Simply wonderful.

Small but fun interactive exhibition space, kept my 11 year old entertained for almost an hour. You need a mobile phone and at least two people to get the trick shots. The toilets are very clean. Nice little attraction on a hot day in Malaga.

A nice illusion museum with clever exhibits and great photo spots where you can capture fun memories. The museum isn’t very large, but it’s a very pleasant place to visit during quieter times. The staff were more than friendly!

Super expensive for what they offer. In half hour you have seen the whole museum. Some wall stickers are scary for little kids. I wouldn’t recommend it. My 4 years old daughter was done after 10min

I had a wonderful time at the Museum of Imagination. The exhibits were creative, interactive, and beautifully designed, making the whole experience fun and inspiring. It’s a great place for both adults and children, and it really encourages you to explore, play, and see things from a new perspective. I left feeling happy, inspired, and very glad I visited. I would definitely recommend this museum to anyone looking for something unique and memorable.

If you like illusions and using your imagination to take creative photos, you’ll love this place. Some of the things are nothing special, as you can guess, while other items are super cool, incredible or just great fun.
