This meal was so outstanding we didn’t want it to end. The view was great, the service amazing but the food – out of this world. The flavours, the creativity, the depth were mind blowing. Our waiter Nikita was knowledgeable, kind and considerate (especially to non Spanish speaking visitors). The pace of the meal was perfect – we started with just entrees and that was more than acceptable by Nikita, then he helped us with the mains and then desert. There was never any rush or over salesmaney tactics. Just incredible food done incredibly well. A must if you are in Marbella or Spain for that matter.

There are evenings you simply want to relive. Last night was definitely one of them. The Tuna Cut Show was truly exceptional. The freshest tuna, beautifully crafted dishes, a wonderful atmosphere, live music, and impeccable service came together to create a truly memorable experience. Every detail was thoughtfully executed—from the professionalism of the team to the outstanding cuisine and the impressive variety of dishes. It was an unforgettable evening. Thank you for such a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back! ✨🍣

The view, the portions, the prices, the service and the live music is just perfect. Among all these tourists traps, this one is worth a visit and definitely a remarkable example for a great restaurant. Also no long waiting times even though it was quiet busy. We definitely would pay it a visit again if we are in Marbella again!

Ending our trip at Luini Sea View in Old Marbella was the perfect decision. This is one of the best Italian restaurants I’ve experienced. The food stays true to authentic Italian flavors while adding a refined modern twist. It’s the kind of restaurant that deserves to expand across Europe and the Middle East. A special thank you to Daria, whose warm hospitality and genuine friendliness gave us a wonderful first impression. She made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The chicken pizza completely changed my opinion of chicken pizza, it was perfectly balanced and absolutely delicious. The garden salad had a beautifully balanced dressing, the Pil Pil was spicy and full of flavor, the Paccheri “Cacio e Pepe” was an absolute must, and the lemon sorbet was the perfect finish with its refreshing balance of sweet and sour. An unforgettable dining experience and the perfect way to end our Marbella trip. Highly recommended!

Great place for Italian food! We sat inside and it was cool and pleasant. We had starters of pate and Vitello Tonnato which were fresh and delicious. Their pizza and pasta were great. There was no service and we had to wait to order drinks, we noticed that the staff were having lunch and there was almost no one to serve us. We will definitely come back again for the food and the atmosphere.

I enjoyed a lovely dinner at this restaurant. I reserved a table before coming. The waiter who looked after our table was incredibly welcoming and attentive, and we felt very well taken care of throughout the evening. The food arrived quickly, and the pizza was absolutely delicious, my mum even said it was the best pizza she’s ever tasted (and she’s tried quite a few!). The atmosphere in the restaurant was cosy and inviting, perfect for a relaxed evening. I especially appreciated the thoughtful touch of being offered a blanket to keep warm during the January chill, it made the experience feel even more special. I would highly recommend this place and would happily return.

LEÑA offers a sophisticated atmosphere in Marbella, featuring a terrace suitable for leisure. While the staff maintains a professional demeanor, the dining experience can be inconsistent regarding culinary execution and portion sizes.

The establishment faces challenges with food quality and technical consistency. Guests may find the pricing structure high relative to the service attentiveness and the complexity of the dishes provided.

A disappointing diner experience. Overall the service was good; we had two waiters and they were polite and professional. The food is not bad, but it is not great either, and it is very overpriced for what you get. We ordered a few starters to share and the cordon bleu. The starters were nice, presentation well-thought-out, however the flavours were rather underwhelming. But the biggest let-down was the cordon bleu. The meat was raw inside, and the so-called brie cheese looked more like a cream cheese “coulant” with mild brie flavouring. I couldn’t finish it as it was quite sickening. Also, priced at around €80 for two (€40 a plate), it is served with a single tiny spoonful of purée. A rather comical sight of a dish that almost hurt my eyes! For dessert we shared the large peanut and lime cookie. It was very cold straight from the fridge, which completely masked the textures and the peanut flavour. I took it home and had it for breakfast the next day; at room temperature, it tasted significantly better. For a 28€ dessert, you expect a lot more care in how it’s served. The bill came out to around €280 for two, with a cocktail and a glass of wine each. But a beautiful atmosphere cannot make up for average, poorly executed food. Definitely not worth the price.

Probably so far our worst dinner of our trip, which is disappointing as we’ve dined in Lena Dubai and had a great evening. We sat on the terrace which was lovely and we much preferred it to the restaurant. Went to order and the waiter pushed to upsell twice. I understand it’s part of the role but there is a way to do so and when we say no.. we mean no. We ordered the steak tartare which says on the menu made at the table.. it wasn’t. We also ordered chicken empanadas which were nice. Main we ordered the Angus rib eye (medium), with mash potato and green beans. The beans were quite dry but the steak and mash were so greasy. No one came over to see if everything was okay. We didn’t eat probably half of the steak. We were done then asked for the bill. Waiter asked if everything was good and we were very honest, then shocked by his attitude saying it was the steak and if we said something if would have done something about it. Not a way to speak to a customer especially one who wasn’t overly happy. Anyway he never returned.. someone else came with the bill which we felt like he was avoiding us. Not great. €300 for dinner for 1 mocktail, 1 cocktail, 1 glass of red, 2 small bottles of water, 2 starters, 1 main and 2 starters. Very expensive for what it was, despite it being Marbella and in such a nice resort. Especially given the service was 👎🏽

We had Pedro as a server and we sat on the terrace overlooking the plaza. He was OUTSTANDING! I have a severe peanut and all nut allergy and he took such great care of me. When I eat at restaurants, especially overseas, someone understanding how severe my allergy is is a serious concern. He was incredible and I highly recommend him and this fantastic establishment. Worth every penny! Definitely sit overlooking the place.

I had a truly disappointing experience at Lena in Marbella. The food was absolutely not what I expected. The burrata salad, which should come with tomatoes, was served with roasted peppers and onions — a bizarre and unpleasant combination that completely ruined the dish. As for the ribeye, it was honestly one of the worst pieces of meat I’ve ever had: tough, flavorless, and downright unpleasant to eat. To make things even worse, the dessert was just as bad — a rose dessert that tasted like stale sliced bread with vanilla ice cream. Completely uninspired and frankly unpleasant. Overall, the salad, steak, and even the dessert were so bad that I left wondering how such a place could have any reputation at all. Definitely not worth the visit.

Service was nice, food too, but this idea of “two hours sitting” 🙄 The restaurant only takes two hours to reserve. We had a reservation for 7:00 PM, and we arrived right on time, among the first in the restaurant. But at 8:40 PM, we were already served the bill with a hint that it was time for us to leave. We didn’t finish our food, and of course, there was no even an idea to have a dessert. This is my second visit to this restaurant, and the second time it’s been a bad experience. I can’t recommend it; there are much better places in Marbella with great meat

Would recommend to go to another restaurant, only dishes that were okay were the peppers and the mashed potatoes. The small burgers were undercooked, and when told that they were they brought a new pair which were aa raw as the first ones. Nine of the cuissons of the meat were correct, asked for a medium rare steak and got a raw steak. To top it off when i told them i did not like it they just answered with: yeah it can happen, chef might have a bad day Edit: they offered me a free desert on my next visit Wont come again, wont recommend again

Trocadero Arena exceeded all of our expectations. The restaurant has a stunning African-inspired design, with incredible attention to detail throughout. Every part of the venue is beautifully maintained, creating a unique atmosphere that makes you feel like you’re somewhere truly special. The décor alone is worth the visit. The food was equally impressive. Every dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. You can tell that great care has gone into both the quality of the ingredients and the presentation. The service was friendly, attentive, and professional, making the entire dining experience even more enjoyable. If you’re visiting the Costa del Sol, Trocadero Arena is a must-visit. It perfectly combines outstanding food, exceptional surroundings, and first-class service. We will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!

Very nice beach restaurant with beautiful outside Terrasse. Sitting on the beach underneath palm trees. The inside is super well decorated with lots of wood and style. We have visited Trocadéro Arena more than 20 times over the years and have always had positive experiences with both the service and the overall atmosphere. That is why it was especially disappointing to see such a significant decline during our most recent visit. Unfortunately, the service was completely unacceptable. The staff seemed uninterested, and there was very little sense of hospitality or customer care. As guests, we did not feel welcome or valued, and the overall experience was in stark contrast to the many positive visits we have had in the past. It is disappointing when a place that we have previously recommended to others delivers such a poor guest experience. We sincerely hope that the management takes this feedback seriously and restores the high standard of service that the venue was once known for.

We loved every second of our visit, and it was truly made special by Miguel Angel’s exceptional service and warm hospitality. The Tuna carpaccio is an absolute must-try. The Tuna O’Toro tartare with caviar was minimalist, letting the quality of the ingredients shine. The tuna spoke for itself, while the caviar provided a delightful textural contrast. For our main courses, the tuna steak was delicious, but the rice with red tuna T-bone was truly incredible. To finish, the cheesecake with black truffle was perfectly balanced—not too sweet—and the ideal conclusion to our dinner.

Stunning restaurant! Very classy and well decorated. At the entrance a beautiful setting for the perfect pic! Service was truly brilliant, everything was well explained and always someone coming to check if everything was okay. We had and fried aubergine that’s was beautiful and what was like oysters and my hub said was good. Creamy rice was very very tasty, truly delicious but disappointing it didn’t came with much seafood as you can see in the pic. So my overall is 4⭐️ for not much seafood in the dish and also not really children friendly because it doesn’t have any kids meal in the menu. Many families around and having to pay for a full meal for a 6 year old in a nice restaurant definitely discourages a bit.

It was nice. Food rather bland but hot. Service was good and attentive but not overbearing. Atmosphere was ruined slightly by very loud music and then a table of 4 pre-madonnas came in for a birthday meal and then a load of boys came in to talk to them. Having driven 30 minutes to dine here left underwhelmed and disappointed.

Jack’s Smokehouse understands the assignment: meat, smoke, and zero interest in salad culture. The brisket was tender, the ribs disappeared suspiciously fast, and the sides actually deserved plate space. If you leave hungry, that’s on

I went with my family (5 people), we waited for our food for more than an hour, the place had very loud music which in most cases is great, but it made it very hard to communicate with the waiters and even with each other. Definitely a disappointing experience for us, but I’m sure some people would like this kind of vibe. They made a few mistakes with our meals but after waiting for so long we weren’t bothered to say anything.

Good simple food, attentive and pleasant service. I liked the live sax music today, but not the loud pop of yesterday. So it depends on your taste 😄

The fish was fresh, and the sea view was really nice. It’s definitely better to make a reservation in advance to get a better view. The food was good overall, and we were satisfied with the experience. The staff were also very kind and welcoming, which made the visit even more pleasant.

Here’s a perfect 5-star review you can use for La Red Restaurant: La Red Restaurant was such a lovely surprise and one of our favourite dining experiences in Marbella. The food was absolutely fresh, full of flavour and beautifully presented. We ordered a mix of seafood dishes and everything tasted amazing. You can really tell they use high quality ingredients and care about what they serve. The staff were kind, friendly and always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing. The service felt natural and smooth from start to finish, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The atmosphere was relaxed yet lively, with a beautiful beachfront setting that makes you feel like you’re on holiday even if you’re not. The view, the breeze and the sound of the waves made it the perfect spot for lunch or dinner. We loved everything about this place and would definitely come back. Highly recommend if you’re in Marbella and looking for great food, a friendly team and a gorgeous location.

Title: A Local Paella Experience in Marbella Review: I came in hoping for an authentic Spanish evening by the sea — relaxed atmosphere, Spanish music, and good food. The food did deliver: the soup was good, the salad fresh, and the paella nearly perfect — flavorful, generous (easily for two), though a bit oilier than I’m used to. Portions were large, the two soft drinks fit the meal well, and the overall cost felt reasonable. I even left with half a paella for tomorrow. The setting had its quirks — bold red décor, black uniforms, and loud American pop instead of the Spanish music I was expecting. Service was also on the slow side, with no one checking in during the meal. Still, the food made it worthwhile. Four stars for delivering on flavor, even if the overall experience didn’t quite match the picture I had in mind.

In the middle of the tarp covered beach boardwalk you’ll find la Red, and you’ll know because you’ll feel the energy of the engaging, friendly staff. Excellent tapas, attentive waiters while sitting seaside. Doesn’t get better!

The food was very good overall, and the portions were extremely generous. The calamari, croquettes, and pork secreto were especially tasty and well prepared. The octopus was also good, although for my personal taste it had a bit too much sweet paprika. The staff were friendly, but the way the service was organized made things feel less efficient. Different staff members handled drinks, food orders, and payments separately, so we were often redirected to another person depending on what we needed. As a result, everything took quite a long time — from getting someone’s attention, to receiving the food, and even paying the bill.

What can I say. If you don‘t go here, there is little space for the others – and me😜 It is just fantastic here. If you enjoy a nice friendly and very professional service with a warm host, this is the place to be. If you value fresh good food where everybody finds his/her highlight then this place is a must. Great food and very good wine list. And if you want to eat at one of the greatest spot along the Costa del sol then don‘t miss it and book in advance as this place is rare and popular!

What an amazing restaurant. The staff, service and setting is incredible! The food was outstanding. If you’re coming to Marbella and you’re looking for a fantastic restaurant, make a reservation here! Front of house manager, forgot his name, sorry. What a great guy. We’re back in July for another week and have already booked it for a Birthday celebration. Thank you Luuma!

Fabulous food with great service. Party of 22 for dinner, easily accommodated. Staff were great and the gent on front of house had prepared two tables – inside and outside as the weather was turning cool. The two outstanding dishes were the burger and the rack of ribs, but am the food was great.

Great food, bad bad service. Waited 40 minutes to order our drinks, took another 15 to get ( water and wine, nothing complicated to prepare). We got the bottle on the table, asked to keep it cold but we ended up having the bottle on the table till we left.

Beautiful setting and relaxed atmosphere at The Beach House Marbella 🌊 I had the chicken burger with sweet potato fries and it was genuinely very good — flavorful, well cooked, and generous. The quality of the ingredients really comes through. Service was friendly and the overall vibe is great for a beachside lunch or dinner. However, be careful with the extras. The bread and olives served at the beginning are added to the bill without clearly informing you, and the tip is automatically included as an additional line at the end. That’s not something I particularly appreciate — transparency would definitely improve the experience. Overall, good food and a lovely location, just make sure to check your bill.

We had the most wonderful time here with our twins. The atmosphere, food, and customer service were all absolutely outstanding. I could write so much more, but the best way to sum up our experience is simply this: this is our favourite restaurant in Marbella! We loved every moment and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Thank you to the entire team for making us feel so welcome. We will definitely be back again very soon. Nice place but so ridiculously overpriced. They advertise tacos for 22.50 only to give you one singular taco (picture shown). We got a burger, wasnt asked how it should be cooked and came out well done. I was asked 3 separate occasions if i was done with my food/drink while there was clearly food/drink left over. I was not impressed. In and out in an hour i didnt want to be there

Hanson's Kitchen

This place is outstanding in every way — the entertainment, the beachfront location, the incredible food, and above all, the staff who treat you like family. It truly checks all the boxes! The owner, Guy, sets the tone. He greets every table personally, remembers the locals by name, and even works alongside the staff taking orders and delivering food. It’s really amazing to see. As for the food — absolutely delicious. We tried dishes from the daily specials, the regular menu, and the dessert menu over three visits, and every time we were blown away. Not a single disappointment!

We love the Beach House, it’s our favourite restaurant in the area and any time we have brought friends new to the area there, turns out it always their favourite too, The food is fab (our favourite dishes are the ribs, tempura of prawns, Sunday roasts….and the knickerbocker glory!). The service is really good, really efficient and friendly. We love the decor, the setting is stunning and the atmosphere is always great, but our absolute favourite is the Sunday lunch with the incredible entertainment line up and fun each week. The team is always helpful and friendly at the Beach House and Natalie especially does such a great job and looks after us so well

The setting is honestly beautiful. Right by the beach with a calm and relaxed atmosphere that instantly puts you in holiday mode. The view alone makes it worth coming, especially if you just want to sit back, enjoy the sun and let the kids play. The water is shallow and really safe for children so it’s a lovely spot for families. The vibe here is chilled and welcoming. There’s something about the sound of the sea and the way the tables are laid out that makes you feel like you can stay for hours. It’s not fancy or overly polished but it has a casual charm that works. Now about the food. It was just okay. Nothing really stood out and I wouldn’t come here just for the meal. Some dishes looked better than they tasted. That said, the service was decent and everyone was friendly enough. They were patient with the kids and didn’t rush us, which was appreciated. All in all, it’s not somewhere I’d rave about for the food but it’s definitely a nice place to relax, have a drink, and enjoy the beach. Perfect for a laid-back afternoon with the family in a beautiful spot.

It was my first time visiting Nosso, and I was truly impressed by the level of service and the way the staff take care of their guests. I would especially like to thank Dani, whose kindness, attentiveness, and professionalism made our experience even more enjoyable. You can really feel the attention to detail here. From serving water directly on the beach to taking care of every aspect of the guest experience, everything is done with genuine care. They even serve the water in glasses and ask whether you would like lemon—it’s these thoughtful little touches that make all the difference. The food was absolutely delicious, the beach was spotless with beautiful white sand, and I also loved the stylish design, the atmosphere, and the crowd. Everything about this place creates a relaxed yet sophisticated vibe. Nosso has definitely become one of my favorite beach clubs, and I will happily recommend it to all of my friends. Very disappointing experience at Nosso Marbella. We had a very unpleasant situation regarding the bill. The price was increased twice, without any clear explanation as to why. When we asked to see the supporting receipts/invoices, they refused to show all of them, despite the fact that several invoices had apparently been issued with increase after increase. Instead of calmly explaining the charges and resolving the matter professionally, the situation escalated unnecessarily. Security was called, and we felt pressured and prevented from simply leaving while the dispute was ongoing – and thus forced to pay under pressure. The behaviour was, in my opinion, completely unacceptable for a venue that presents itself as high-end. A restaurant should be transparent with its billing, especially when prices are changed multiple times. Unfortunately, this experience left a very bad impression, and I would not recommend Nosso based on how this was handled.

I was very disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. The food was of very poor quality, the dishes did not seem fresh, and they were definitely not worth the prices charged. What was even more disappointing was how the staff handled the situation. I politely informed the waiters that the food was not acceptable, but they showed complete indifference. They made no effort to resolve the issue, did not apologize, and simply walked away from our table smiling, which made us feel that our concerns did not matter at all. One final piece of advice: avoid ordering the chicken burger. It was by far the biggest disappointment of the meal. Honestly, the chicken burger from McDonald’s is at least ten times better. Overall, it was a very unpleasant experience due to both the poor quality of the food and the lack of professionalism from the staff. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant, and I certainly will not be returning.

Booked a VIP sunbed for €200. Service was fine, but when it came to asking for a table for lunch (2 people), we were turned away. We counted 10 empty tables at which were not occupied for at least 30 minutes after requesting. Decided to go to Dune beach instead, far better service.

Frequently asked questions about haute cuisine restaurants in Marbella

What defines haute cuisine in the context of Marbella?

Haute cuisine in Marbella refers to high-end culinary experiences that emphasize technical mastery, premium ingredients, and artistic presentation. These establishments typically offer multi-course tasting menus where gastronomic innovation meets traditional European techniques, often focusing on Mediterranean flavors elevated to a sophisticated level.

Are there specific dress codes for high-end dining in Marbella?

Many haute cuisine restaurants in Marbella maintain a sophisticated atmosphere, which often translates to a smart casual or formal dress code. While some venues are more relaxed, others may require elegant attire such as blazers or dresses. It is always recommended to check the restaurant's specific guidelines before arriving to ensure a seamless experience.

How far in advance should I book a reservation?

Due to the popularity of Marbella as a luxury destination, reservations for top-tier restaurants are highly recommended. During the peak tourist season, it is wise to book several weeks in advance. For the most exclusive venues, early booking is essential to secure a table, especially for weekend dinners or special occasions.

Do these restaurants offer vegetarian or vegan options?

Modern haute cuisine is increasingly inclusive of various dietary preferences. Most high-end establishments in Marbella provide tailored menus for vegetarians and vegans. It is best to inform the staff of any dietary restrictions at the time of booking so the kitchen can prepare a bespoke culinary experience that meets your needs.

What type of wine pairings are typically available?

A hallmark of fine dining is the availability of curated wine pairings. Sommeliers at these restaurants often provide expert guidance on selecting wines that complement specific dishes. You can expect a selection of vintage wines, local Spanish labels, and international selections designed to enhance the flavor profiles of the meal.

Can the restaurants accommodate private events or large groups?

Many luxury dining venues in Marbella offer private dining rooms or exclusive spaces for corporate events and private celebrations. These services often include customized menus, dedicated service staff, and personalized decor to ensure an intimate and high-quality experience for guests.

What is the average price range for a tasting menu?

The pricing for haute cuisine can vary depending on the prestige of the chef and the rarity of the ingredients used. Generally, a tasting menu in these establishments is considered a premium experience. Prices often include appetizers, main courses, desserts, and sometimes bread service, but beverages and extra courses are typically charged separately.

Is there a focus on local and seasonal ingredients?

One of the defining characteristics of Marbella's culinary scene is the emphasis on fresh, local produce. Chefs often source seafood from the Mediterranean, produce from nearby farms, and locally sourced meats. This commitment to seasonality ensures that the dishes are not only high-quality but also reflect the regional heritage.

Do these restaurants provide children's menus?

While haute cuisine is often associated with adult dining, many family-friendly luxury restaurants in Marbella do offer specialized menus for children. These menus are designed to provide high-quality nutrition in a format suitable for younger palates, allowing families to enjoy a refined atmosphere together.

What makes the service experience unique in these establishments?

The service standard in Marbella's high-end restaurants is characterized by discretion, knowledge, and attentiveness. Staff members are usually highly trained to provide seamless service, ensuring that every guest's needs are met promptly without being intrusive. The goal is to create a memorable dining journey where the service complements the gastronomic artistry.
