Anita Ahmetaj

We had a wonderful dinner here with my daughter. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel very welcome. The gentleman at the entrance greeted us warmly, found us a great table, and made us feel comfortable right away. The service throughout the evening was excellent. Everyone on the team was attentive, friendly, and quick to help whenever we needed anything. We ordered the seafood paella, and it was fantastic. It was presented in a very special way, and every bite was full of fresh, delicious seafood and flavour. The portion was very generous, so we couldn’t finish it all, but it was far too good to leave behind. The staff kindly packed the leftovers for us to take home, which we really appreciated. A great dining experience from start to finish. We would happily return and highly recommend it.

Wonderful experience! The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. The octopus was perfectly cooked tender inside with a crispy outside and the mashed potatoes with truffle complemented it perfectly. The shrimp were also amazing, very fresh and flavorful with a great dipping sauce. The atmosphere was cozy and pleasant, and the service was attentive and friendly. Everything felt well thought out, from presentation to taste. Definitely a place worth visiting again. Highly recommended!

Absolutely incredible from start to finish. The ambience alone sets the tone the moment you walk in. Elegant, warm, and thoughtfully designed without feeling pretentious. The service was truly next level. Alexis, the hostess, was exceptionally helpful, professional, and kind, setting the tone for an outstanding experience from the very beginning. The entire staff was attentive, welcoming, and genuinely invested in making sure everything was perfect. And the food… oh my gosh. Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. You could taste the quality and care in every bite. This is not just a meal, it’s an experience. One of those places that reminds you why Marbella’s food scene is so special. Ridiculously good, unforgettable, and absolutely worth it. I’ll be dreaming about this meal for a long time and will definitely be back.

Oyana Beach Club & Restaurant, Marbella This is simply a place you have to visit if you’re in Marbella. I could spend a long time talking about the food and drinks. The selection is extensive, the quality is excellent, and there’s something for everyone. But that’s not what makes Oyana special. The real highlight is the setting. Beautiful views, the sound of the sea, great music, and a relaxed atmosphere create an experience that is hard to describe. It’s one of those places where you naturally slow down and enjoy every moment. Yes, the service can be a little slower at times, but it’s always friendly, welcoming, and delivered with a genuine smile. On a day like this, those small imperfections are easy to forgive. I should also mention that I was invited by friends. Back home we have a saying: “Don’t look a gift horse in the mouth.” In other words, don’t criticize something you’ve been given. Even so, I always try to be fair and honest in my reviews. And honestly, Oyana impressed me. Not just because of the food or the drinks, but because of its unique atmosphere. If you’re looking for a beach club in Marbella where you can truly relax and enjoy the Mediterranean lifestyle, Oyana is well worth a visit.

Once again a fabulous visit. Beautiful setting, lovely service and outstanding food. Right next to the beach with stunning views and gorgeous decor and interior. Excellent service – incredibly attentive and quick. Divine food as ever – squid was beautiful. Bread and aioli to start is a must. That aioli is delicious. Beautiful cava sangria loaded with fruit to wash it down. An absolute must if staying in the area. On the pricier side but totally totally worth it.

Everything was very fresh and tasty! Beautiful and modern place. We were there for brunch. If you want to enjoy the beach on sun beds, it’s important that you book them weeks before. The food is really delicious and good quality. Service was great, it wasn’t really that fast but still we didn’t have to wait long. There is also a parking space (outdoors). Nice atmosphere while our visit the music was low and it was perfect!

My wife and I stumbled across this place by chance while looking for the boardwalk to Marbella. It looked so inviting, and the staff were so friendly, that we knew we had to come back for a meal. A few days later, the five of us—my wife, our two adult children, our son’s girlfriend, and I—returned, and it didn’t disappoint. There was a great choice of both healthy and more indulgent dishes, all beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The staff were warm, welcoming, and efficient throughout. A fantastic dining experience from start to finish. Highly recommended—a real hidden gem!

Unforgettable family dinner by the beach! We had an absolutely incredible dining experience at Oyana. The restaurant’s beachfront location is stunning, offering a full, uninterrupted view of the sand dunes and the waves—watching the sunset from our table was pure magic. A massive thank you to our waitress, Sol, who truly elevated our evening. She was so attentive, warm, and professional, making sure we had everything we needed. Excellent food, breathtaking views, and top-tier service. We will definitely be back!

My husband and I first came here for our anniversary in 2024, where the food and service were absolutely impeccable. Because of that top-notch experience, we suggested it to our friends who came to visit us in Spain this year, and Breathe did not disappoint! We didn’t have reservations and had a 45-minute wait, so we walked down to Puerto Banús and took a taxi back. The atmosphere here is elegant and breathtaking. Our server, Adrián, provided outstanding service and was incredibly welcoming. He also mentioned that normally it is practically impossible to get in without a reservation, but tourism was temporarily quieter due to the World Cup in the US. The meal was well worth the wait! For starters, we had the edamame and the grilled artichoke. The artichoke wasn’t what we expected, but it was wonderful (though the portion was enough for only about three people). For mains, my friend said the seabass was delicious, and the pesto ravioli my husband ordered came with four large ravioli. The sushi I had was incredibly fresh and delicious. Our friends also loved the Scarlet Waves cocktails, which came with a beautiful chocolate rim and a chocolate curl on top—they even ordered a second round! P.S. Before leaving, we discovered their stunning rooftop bar, Air. We wished we had visited it for a drink, but I’ve included some photos of it for reference!

You almost notice this place the moment you arrive in Málaga – Breathe is heavily advertised, and people often mention it when you say you’re in the area. That naturally creates some skepticism: is it just a place for trendy people and Instagram? We decided to try it anyway – and we’re glad we did. Make sure to book in advance, especially in high season. Parking is easy in the building underneath (paid), but remember to mention it in the restaurant and you’ll get a voucher, so parking ends up being free. From the moment you arrive, you feel the level. Beautiful interior, stylish atmosphere, and guests who have clearly dressed for the occasion. We were shown to a great table, and everything feels well thought out. We chose a selection of sushi and several of their signature cocktails. The drinks were visually stunning and tasted excellent, and the food matched – both in presentation and flavour. The vibe is lounge/club with dim lighting and music, and attention to detail is everywhere – from branded water bottles to small practical touches like hooks for handbags at the table. Yes, it’s a trendy place with a crowd that likes to be seen, and prices are on the higher side. But it’s also a complete experience, and the staff deliver throughout. Definitely a place worth visiting when in Marbella 5/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We had a great culinary experience at Breathe. Their menu offers great variety of Mediterranean/ Asian fusion dishes. We shared the dim sum and the wagyu kebab as starters, and the iberico presa as a main with a side of garlic herb roasted. All dishes were presented phenomenally and tasted great! They have an interesting wine list also. We picked a Catalonian Cab Sauvignon (Abadal 3.9). For dessert we had the banana cheesecake, which was really nice. Additionally, they have an abundant cocktail list. It’s a bit pricy, but worth it for a great experience.

Our waiter was Jiel, who made sure that our dinner was very special. The food was very interesting and different from everything that we had tried before. In the photos you can see olives and nuts, which were given to us upon our arrival (bread and olive oil with balsamico is also offered). For starters we had croquettes and guacamole. We also tried the duck with potato gratin, which melts in your mouth. Even more interesting were the cocktails, because they were custom made just in that restaurant. With or without alcohol, tasted very good. What was even more interesting, was the chance to see how the bartender makes them. I would like to mention that it was a birthday dinner, so they also made sure to bring us a dessert with candles and sing a song, which was very sweet. Overall, the atmosphere was great, so was the location. Big thanks to Jiel for making our visit there exceptional, as well as everyone else who was included! 🙂

I really wanted to like this place but here are the reasons for my rating, – order was taken incorrectly which I sensed when we ordered and corrected – Then I got the wrong starter, they replaced it – as a side order I asked for potato gratin which was absolutely awful, dry and not creamy and it had carrot in it!!! What the actual….. They replaced it with chips but by then my steak had gone cold as well as the pepper sauce, they didn’t offer to do anything about that which was not a good sign – steak was overcooked, I asked for rare but see attached pictures At that point I had enough so I skipped dessert and just wanted to get out of there. I do have one good thing to say , the risotto was decent but overall I regret going and being swayed by the high score here on Google.

This was the best restaurant that we have been to since visiting Spain. We have been to multiple cities in Spain, and this hands-down was the most enjoyable dinner. The salmon was cooked perfectly. I ordered medium rare and it was done better than I have had anywhere. The Seabass and risotto was fantastic with great balance of flavors. The croquettes, wow absolute delicious. Presentation is done very well. Great atmosphere. Great views. Great wine choices and fantastic drinks. All staff were very friendly, and a special thank you to Monica. She was so pleasant and kind. She really made our night. You will not be disappointed going here. Price is also very fair for portion size and quality.

Food is nice but the extravagent prices do not match. 18€ for 6 croquettes and 18€ for a Russian Salad doesnt work, you need a very high quality of ingredients which these lacked. The tables were absolutely jammed together leaving no space between the tables. I could hear the person behind me breathing and had to constantly adjust my chair to let people through. Service was slow too. Overall so much more they could do here to get a 4 or 5 star rating.

The worst restaurant and service, with the highest prices. A complete waste of time and money. After waiting 20 minutes just to get a menu, we ordered sparkling water and were served still water instead. We ordered a chicken salad but received one with shrimp. The portions are about 50% smaller than at the neighboring restaurants, while the prices are around 50% higher. A total waste of time and money. Stay away.

Cute little spot near the beach! Loved having delicious Mexican food in Spain. This is my second time visiting Marbella and the second time and I’ve enjoyed their breakfast burritos. The homemade tortillas are AMAZING. Almost better than my mom’s tortillas (don’t tell her I said that.) I walked here from my Airbnb on a Monday morning around 10 am for a nice relaxed breakfast. Super attentive and quick!

Nice location close to the beach on an avenue with a number of cafes & restaurants. The restaurant puts corn chips on the table, they’re very stale, bad first impression. Had the nachos, very disappointed. They were very bland, total lack of flavor. Also, they are not nachos, it’s a bean tostada, it is not nachos. The bright spot is the tostada used fresh ingredients. Bland but fresh.

We came across Mi Casa Tu Casa by sheer luck on our recent visit to Marbella. It’s always really busy which is also a good sign. It is most amazing place and is run by a lovely family. We initially stopped by for a coffee and it was amazing! They roast their own coffee beans which is a lovely touch. The interior and exterior is really nice and very trendy. From the decor in the toilet to the plates and cups – everything is beautiful and the attention to detail is amazing, right through to the presentation of the food. We visited again – unfortunately one of the times it was closed as it was a Sunday. We wanted to try the food as the menu is vast with tons of different types of meals available. On our second visit, we had breakfast. The food was delicious – fresh ingredients and full of flavour. We had fresh orange juice alongside this and it was incredible. We would highly recommend you visit this place – it’s amazing. I believe you can purchase coffee beans which we really wish we’d done. We will 100% be back the next time we’re in Marbella!

A beautiful experience. We spent our last evening at Nomad celebrating my friends Hen Do. The service was exceptional, very attentive and polite. Credit to the waitress for being incredibly patient with a rather large party. The food was gorgeous, beautifully plated, flavours balanced perfectly, a credit to the chef!

Nomad is such a beautiful restaurant—I truly enjoyed my solo dinner here tonight. They had plenty of vegetarian options, and every dish was full of flavor. I started with the corn ribs, then had the cauliflower and broccolini with a side of Japanese rice—everything was delicious. The ambiance is amazing, the servers were kind, and the music was just right. Definitely one of those places you wish you could bring back home—I’d love to have a Nomad in the United States!

Was pleasantly surprised by this place. Normally, when a restaurant has a great view and atmosphere, the food doesn’t quite live up to it, but this was the complete opposite. We had the pork shoulder and truffle arancini to start, followed by the lamb chops and Korean chicken for mains. Everything was outstanding. Highly recommend Nomad. Hassan made us feel very welcome.

From the moment we arrived, this Mediterranean gem felt special. We were greeted warmly by Terry at the door, who was an absolute gentleman, and received the best service from Hassan throughout the evening. His recommendations were spot on, and he genuinely made sure we had the best possible experience. The live entertainment was fantastic — an uplifting female DJ, a live singer with the most melodious voice, completed with a gentleman on the bongo drums. The three of them really brought the restaurant to life. Beautiful ambience, delicious food, and such a lovely atmosphere. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. A special thank you to Terry and Hassan 🙏

Visited on saturday just before Christmas. Nice venue with dinner entertainment. Did not seem busy in winter. Service and food was good.

Great food selection, with dishes that are beautifully prepared and clearly crafted by a talented chef. The decor and scenery are also lovely. Unfortunately, the service was extremely disappointing. The servers seemed disorganized and repeatedly forgot items. It took 40 minutes just to take our order. We were there for a birthday and requested a surprise cake, which they forgot twice. When it finally arrived, they had even forgotten the silverware. It’s sad to see a beautiful and expensive place undermined by such unprofessional service. This leaves a very poor impression of Nomad, a place we usually know to be excellent.

This restaurant was an amazing experience. The views from the terrace were spectacular. The staff are attentive and the service was great. And last but definitely not least the food was 10/10. Could not recommend more!

We recently held our company event at this wonderful restaurant, and we couldn’t have been more pleased. From start to finish, everything was simply excellent. The ambiance of the dining hall was just right – elegant, warm, and perfectly set for a memorable evening. The team went above and beyond by preparing a special menu just for us, and every dish was delicious and thoughtfully presented. The staff’s professionalism and attention to detail truly stood out – attentive, friendly, and always one step ahead. And the cherry on top? The breathtaking lake view from the terrace. It added a magical touch to the whole experience. We left completely happy and would highly recommend this place for anyone looking to combine great food, outstanding service, and a stunning setting. Thank you for making our corporate event so special!

We dined al fresco at the restaurant. The neighbourhood and environment were quite good, very quiet and enjoyable. Food turned out to be excellent, probably little to no criticism. Service was quite slow and could be better although the staff were very friendly and obliging, simply looking very understaffed. There was on site parking making it very convenient. Was a decent experience overall.

Kaitai by El Lago – a deliciously elegant evening. We joined the special Kaitain tuna dinner. Not only was this highlighting the tuna season here in the Mediterranean, but it also marked the opening of the restaurant’s terrace for the summer season. The evening began with the Japanese ceremony of Kaitai in which a whole bluefin tuna was carved by hand, performed by experts. The accompanying tuna menu showed the creativity and diversity of the kitchen. A trio of tuna tartare opened the meal, akami, chutoro and otoro, the cuts moving from lean to richly marbled. Then a tiradito with aguachile, avocado and aromatics; yakitori of the same three cuts, on little wood skewers and cooked over embers; and a tataki with capers, tomato, basil and sautéed vegetables. The setting is beautiful and with the mellow DJ, it was a excellent atmosphere too.

Where in Marbella

One of the most beautiful gastronomic experiences in Marbella. Not just a restaurant, but the kind of place that turns dinner into an entire evening. Sunset over the lake, wine, beautifully plated seasonal menus, and themed gastronomic events that somehow always feel intimate, elegant, and deeply relaxed at the same time. There’s a reason El Lago keeps appearing in Michelin, Repsol, and Macarfi guides. Romantic, atmospheric, delicious.

Respectable, competent, but overpriced for the experience delivered. A Michelin star sets expectations high — not only for the food, but for the entire experience. Our lunch at El Lago left us somewhere in the middle: not disappointed, but certainly not impressed either. The setting remains one of the restaurant’s strongest assets. The artificial lake may not sound particularly romantic on paper, yet in reality it creates an attractive and peaceful atmosphere. I had visited the restaurant about eight years ago, when the interior felt rather uninspiring. A major redesign had apparently taken place since then, but honestly, upon entering, the transformation was not immediately obvious. What was more noticeable: throughout the entire afternoon there were only four guests in total — our table and one other couple. That inevitably influences the atmosphere. The menu itself was surprisingly compact for a Michelin-starred restaurant. On top of that, we were informed that one starter (the mushroom dish) and two main courses (lobster and bouillabaisse) were unavailable that day. Given the already limited menu, that felt somewhat odd, although in fairness it did not affect us personally since we had already decided what to order the day before. The bread and butter were excellent, although initially charged twice (€12) before being corrected on the bill. The duck ordered by my companion was genuinely excellent: generous in size, perfectly cooked, and full of flavour. My wagyu steak, however, was more complicated. Good? Yes. Tasty? Absolutely. But simply not the level of wagyu quality one hopes — and frankly expects — at this level and price point. Small details also matter in fine dining. Between the bread service and the main course, the table should really have been cleaned properly. The breadcrumbs stayed until after the main course, when the waiter finally removed them. Not dramatic, but these are precisely the details Michelin-level restaurants are expected to master effortlessly. Service overall was professional enough, though somewhat procedural. Correct, polite, but without the warmth, attentiveness or extra touch that can compensate for imperfections elsewhere. Dessert unfortunately did little to lift the experience. The Grand Marnier soufflé lacked any real Grand Marnier flavour, came without flair or presentation, and ultimately felt rather average. At €25, it also seemed significantly overpriced for what was served. Heavy too — although perhaps that part was partly our own fault; soufflés are not exactly known for being light. The final bill for the ladies’ side of the table — after correcting the bread charge and including three glasses of Verdejo (pleasant) and two glasses of cava (perfectly fine but unremarkable) — came to €175. Our overall impression? Respectable, competent, but overpriced for the experience delivered. We did not leave deeply disappointed, yet neither did we leave enthusiastic — and surely enthusiasm is exactly what one hopes for after visiting a Michelin-starred restaurant. That said, we may well return one evening. Perhaps the atmosphere, energy and overall experience come more alive later in the day.
