We have been dealing with Asecontex Internacional for both my husband’s Spanish residency as an EU passport holder and my own residency as a non-EU resident. I appointed Asecontex to help me with my Spanish residency as a family member of an EU citizen. This involved two steps, the first obtaining the green residence card for my wife, the second submitting my own application. Throughout both processes Asecontex was incredibly efficient, and guided us through the processes and required paperwork with clarity. The team was quick to respond to questions, and always had an answer and recommendation. Sophie Louise in particular was incredibly helpful. As a result of this good and thorough work, my approval for residency came through much faster then I had anticipated, in just over a week. I would not hesitate to recommend Asecontex to anyone navigating the Spanish visa process.

When you instruct a lawyer in Spain for something like a TIE renewal, you’re not really paying for the paperwork. You’re paying to be guided. You want someone who takes the process off your plate, tells you what’s next, and books the appointment. That was not my experience with Asecontex. The quoting stage was fine. I emailed on 25 March, sent over my TIE the next day, and had a clear quote of €242 within a few days. I confirmed I wanted to proceed on 31 March. After that, nothing moved unless I pushed it. Six days of silence. I chased on 6 April, and only then did they ask for a phone number. Silence again. I chased a second time on 9 April. When the reply eventually came, it was to say they didn’t have availability “this week” and would be in touch “next week.” they weren’t. By that stage it was nearly a month after my first email, on a routine renewal I had agreed to within days. Every step forward had required me to follow up. I instructed another firm, had a short (1day) email exchange and they are booking the TIE at the police station. If you want to hand the problem over and trust it’s being handled, my experience was the opposite of that. You’ll chase at every step, and you’ll wait a long time between responses. For a renewal with real deadlines attached, that’s not what I needed, and it may not be what you need either.

I engaged this firm in July 2025 for legal and accounting support for my Spanish company, clearly explaining from the outset that the shareholder is a Lithuanian parent company and that accounting output would be required for audit and consolidation purposes. All invoices were paid promptly, including additional requests made during the engagement. Despite this, the deliverables provided consisted of Excel-based accounting information which, while potentially suitable for internal use, were not usable for audit or consolidation purposes as required and previously communicated. No finalized written agreement clearly defining the scope of services was provided to me, despite repeated requests. This created a lack of clarity as to what was included in the engagement. Regarding the 2025 Corporate Income Tax and Annual Accounts, the firm’s position changed multiple times. The work was first indicated to be outside scope, then offered under specific terms, and subsequently withdrawn after acceptance. As a result, I was required to engage a new advisory firm to ensure compliance and completion of statutory obligations. This review reflects my experience based on documented correspondence and the outcome of the engagement.

a total scam. after less than 24 hours, i asked for a refund because i knew more about the process of extending a visa than my attorney. after many conversations about why i deserved a refund after receiving no services, they kept 150€. i asked for a refund from another place because they could not move as quickly as i needed, and i received a full refund without problem. BEWARE. this company is incompetent and dishonest.

Silence for 24 days – suddenly reply with no apology or explanation for delay asking for value of claim so they can work out their fees. Responded to say the delay in response to an URGENT matter is inexcusable and her response was simply ‘okay we’ll delete all data’. If this firm is not ALL the red flags there are when engaging with a law firm I don’t know which other is. Good luck to all choosing to use them! I will be reporting them to the Brit Gov for having them listed on their directory of lawyers.

Completely disgusted with this law firm. I’m a foreigner and I trusted them to take care of my divorce settlements. As they knew that I was not from here and completely unaware of the legal precedents of this country they began to act on my behalf without notifying first. I was only notified when it came to collecting legal payments. They then went on to withhold information to my current lawyer which is illegal, and they said they would not release it until they collected their legal fees. This is not ethical and I feel completely taken advantage of. Do not recommend at all.

Seems great, but unless you’re a vip client, chances are, you will be served by a less experienced lawyer, who may not give you minor information that would otherwise help you a lot, whoch is what happened to me. It’s a good idea to visit these guys, and then get a second opinion in a different firm. Good thing is, a consultation is just 30€.
