Royal Tennis Club Marbella

I used this club for my workouts during my vacation in Marbella. Overall, the facilities are okay, but you can definitely tell that the equipment and the gym setup are quite dated and have seen better days. It is still perfectly fine and sufficient for a basic workout, though. At €80 per month, the price is very reasonable for the Marbella area. A solid 3-star experience—it gets the job done if you just want to stay in shape while traveling.

We never stayed within, but have been here for a table tennis-session during a day-time, but had a good look around, enjoyed the available parking and also the very tasty asian restaurant within. Left with a very positive impression, having a charming talk with a nice Latvian lady-manager who helped arrange table-tennis for us. Even returned back later specifically for the restaurant.

The area is beautiful. The tennis courts are well-maintained and the classes and instructors are known for being excellent. The restaurant keeps changing but the current staff are lovely. The entire establishment is let down by the gym: Old, faulty and potentially dangerous equipment.

It was very difficult to find the gym entrance. There are no clear signs, so if you’re visiting for the first time or want to sign up for a membership, it’s very confusing to find the right door.

Great club with plenty of clay courts available for some fun. Restaurant on site, with a good selection of drinks. Rooms are small, but nicely appointed.

I do like this place/tennis club/hotel, however room price went up 220% in just 1.5 years and that's crazy. From +/- €60/night to €141. I went @night to the completely refurbished and nicely decorated restaurant, not busy, great service and an even better, but quite expensive steak. All together: a 7+ experience.

We arrived with low expectations having read 'poor' to 'average' reviews on Trip Advisor but this lovely sports club exceeded all our expectations! There is a mix of nationalities and the staff are very friendly! The restaurant staff were lovely, professional and efficient. The Dutch chef makes a fabulous array of dishes - try the goat cheese salad. Avi gave us our first padel lesson and we loved the introduction to this fabulous sport. We can see why it is so popular in Spain. The pool area is beautiful and well cared for. The clay courts are well positioned and well maintained! Lots to do. Rooms are very nice and it is an excellent location. Thanks to all for looking after us so well!!!!
