Originally this building was a hospital and school ordered constructed by the Catholic Kings Isabella and Fernando after conquering the area from the Moors. Now turned into a cultural center in the heart of the old center of Marbella. Over 500 years old!
It was a very nice experience with my daughter, a government event, unfortunately they did not have any cocktails for the reception!

It is located behind the Church of the Incarnation in the heart of Marbella's old town. Formerly known as the Hospital de San Juan de Dios, the Hospital Real de la Misericordia has been renovated to host events. It is a multi-purpose building where we find the UNED Delegated Classroom in Marbella, several City Council offices, a library... Talks, University of Málaga summer courses, press conferences, and even the wake of the tennis player Manolo Santana have been held in this building.Esta situado tras la Iglesia de la Encarnación en pleno casco antiguo de Marbella. Antes conocido como Hospital de San Juan de Dios, el Hospital Real de la Misericordia ha sido reformado para alojar eventos. Es un edificio multiusos donde encontramos el Aula Delegada de la UNED en Marbella, varias oficinas del Ayuntamiento, biblioteca... En este edificio se han realizado charlas, cursos de Verano de la Universidad de Málaga, ruedas de prensa o incluso la capilla ardiente del tenista Manolo Santana.
