Customer Reviews
Restaurante Los Sardinales has a rating of 4.2 out of 5 based on over 1982 reviews on Google
Really good food, really nice staff and ambiance. Even though it's not on the menu they can prepare many dishes gluten free and safe for celiacs. Staff is well informed about avoiding cross contamination. Gluten free options include the paellas, and everything from the "plancha". They also have gluten free bread. The view is lovely and for hot days they have fans installed on the terrace. In winter it's cozy inside. All in all 10/10 recommended.
Really nice place. The food was very good and the whole team made a great impression from the start friendly, relaxed and easygoing. The service was excellent and overall it just felt like a place you want to come back to. Definitely recommended.
We have always loved coming to Los Sardinales, but on the 18th of June we had our wedding lunch there with 112 people, which made it even more special. Everything was absolutely perfect, from the service to the food. They even added beautiful flower decorations to the tables, which created such a lovely atmosphere. We enjoyed a wonderful selection of starters, paella, desserts, beer, wine, cava, sangria, and coffee, and everything was delicious and very well organised. One of the highlights was their fantastic idea to prepare a huge paella in front of our guests, which created such a fun and authentic atmosphere. Our guests absolutely loved the experience, and the paella itself was incredible. The team made us feel incredibly welcome and ensured everything ran smoothly from beginning to end. We would highly recommend Los Sardinales for any special occasion or simply for an amazing dining experience.
Lovely place, loveley setting, reasonably priced given the location. We visited on the way back from Marbella to Benalmadena on a Friday evening during peak tourist season. The parking nearby was easy, and there was no problem getting a table even though we had no reserved. One thing to consider to make a truly remarkable experience is to add some live Spanish music or something Balearic background music.
We visited the restaurant this evening to pop in for a quick gin and tonic with our dogs. We have been coming to this restaurant for over 30 years. We were immediately told to keep the dogs on leads which is fair enough. After ordering our drinks, we asked if the dogs could have some water and were told in an aggressive manner that they did not have any dog bowls available. So I asked in a politely that a Restaurant must have a bowl of some sort which they could fill with water and he refused to give us a bowl of water for the dogs. Eventually, after asking 3 to 4 times to different waiters, we managed to get a bowl of water for our thirsty dogs as we had walked to the restaurant. At one point, my Dog walked away from our table a short distance without his lead and the waiter shouted across the other tables to tell me that the Dog must be on a lead which was both embarrassing and totally unnecessary. My dog is a 13 1/2 year cockatoo so is by no means an aggressive Dog. We have been to this restaurant having lived in Spain for 34 years. The waiter concern was both rude disrespect disrespectful and very aggressive. They clearly don’t welcome dogs in this restaurant and I’d worn other customers not to take their dogs unless they want to be shouted at. 0-10
Best calamari in Marbella! All food served is of amazing quality, service is also excellent offering great recommendations. Terrace is right on the beach and the view is just spectacular. Ask for the fish of the day. Boquerones and black rice are also highly recommended 👌
We had a very disappointing experience, especially considering that we had made a confirmed reservation for 15:30 for an outdoor table. When we arrived, the manager offered us a table inside, despite the fact that our reservation clearly stated "Terraza Exterior" and I had specifically requested outdoor seating. We were then left standing around the entrance for approximately 20 minutes, without even being offered a drink. Only after my husband became frustrated and asked whether we could at least order something to drink were we eventually seated at a high table while waiting. We were finally seated at our actual table around 40 minutes after our confirmed reservation time. What made the situation even more confusing was that a waiter later told us that they "don’t do reservations" because they cannot keep a table waiting for guests to arrive. This makes absolutely no sense: we had a confirmed reservation made through their official online booking system, with a specific time and outdoor seating area. If reservations are not actually respected, why allow customers to book through an online reservation platform in the first place? Service during the meal was also poorly coordinated. We were a group of 9 people, yet the dishes arrived at very different times, meaning some guests were eating while others were still waiting. For a group meal, this is extremely disappointing and awkward. To be fair, the paella, solomillo and fire-grilled fish were very good. However, the oysters, tomato salad and grilled fish dishes were very disappointing and, in our opinion, poor value for the price. Overall, the biggest issue was not simply waiting — it was the complete lack of organisation and the contradictory attitude towards a confirmed reservation. A reservation should mean something. Unfortunately, based on this experience, we would not return.
